Rented a truck it was not cleaned at all , in fact I drove it off the lot and returned 2sec later asking them to clean the Windows cuz they where so dirty that i could not see out of them . Then they handed the windex and the towel to me to clean them..Tracy T.

Reps working in the store are super slow, the online is way easier and faster. Did both my vehicle and storage booking online in store while waiting in line to be helped. When I finally got to the front, there was a lot of complaint about the system. It takes forever and it has a lot of glitches. So maybe improve your Uhail system so it's not a long wait to be seved. Even with my vehicle I had to look for my vehicle then come back in and get the keys, it's so stupid and inconvenient. I mean I already did all the work online and they couldn't just hand me my keys. Everyone was terrific. Very helpful. The most difficult part was calling and trying to reach a live individual. That was impossible! Worse was driving up and seeing employees standing around talking on texting but yet too busy to pick up the phone so I had to drive 30 miles to storage unit to ask a question in person. First off, you guys changed my pickup location to one 7 miles away. The lady that called me to confirm my reservation couldn't have cared less about me as a customer and was very rude and condescending. But I needed the truck so I had to accept the change. Which means I had to pay for the extra mileage to get back to my original location and then to my destination. So I lost time and money right off the bat. Then when I got to the pickup location at 8:30 that morning (my reservation was for 8 am), I tried using your truck share 24/7 on your app. It would not let me initiate the pickup and I kept getting a message that my reservation was set up for hand delivery and I would have to wait until that location opened, even though it said right on my dashboard that the reservation was for 8 am with the 24/7 option. I asked one of the employees that was cleaning the trucks if she could help me and I was told that if I couldn't get to the check in on the app then she could not help me and would have to wait for the counter the open. What the hell? Really? So I had to sit in the parking lot for another half hour staring at my reservation that apparently would not work. The counter opened and I finally got my order done. I asked the counter employee why the 24/7 option would not work. He said I might not have been in the right spot in their driveway for it to register in the system? What the hell does that mean?? How do I know that there is an exact spot to stand in to apparently make it work? He got me checked without an apology or anything. At that point I just wanted to get my truck and get out of there since it was an hour and a half after my reservation time. So yeah, you guys literally cost me time and money. When I booked the reservation on your website it said the size truck I wanted was available. So if it's not then you guys need to update your system to reflect that in addition to either getting truck there, or waiving the extra mileage for me to have to get to the other location. Stop milking people for more money. It will be a long time if I ever use you guys again.Ryan R.

Customer service fail short. The front desk gal was stressed/anxious. She rushed through the instructions, communication was chaotic which caused for confusion. Checkin required me to pay for a gallon of gas tacking on an additional fee even though I only drove the vehicle 9 miles. Ridiculous!Susan G.

The truck was fine. But when we went to pick up the 26 foot truck we reserved, it wasn't there. We had to drive 5 miles away to pick up a TWENTY foot truck which didn't of course fit all our stuff. How do these things happen when you've made a reservation?!! There is no excuse for this lack of service in a company whose entire business is renting trucks!!Thomas J.

The mobile pick up feels a bit over complicated but super accommodating. One issue of main frustration was when verifying my identity I provided a selfie, drivers license and passport photos. I waited for awhile then it kicked back to ask for another driver license photo with no explanation so I took another. Then a chat popped up asking for drivers photo again. But didn't say how to accomplish this. Asked for clarity and the agent said to get photo with all 4 corners. Still nothing on how. Then app finally kicked back for the option to take another photo. Then I sat for awhile and saw this same chat instruction multiple times. Oof, it was a bit frustrating and the agent could have been a bit more personable and upfront with instruction. Such as â€œplease do x, the app will take you back to this step automatically but may take a moment, thanks for your patienceâ€. The rest was easy, after pick up. Drop off I did in person because I didn't want to deal with the mobile app again, however the dolly was not zip tied so when asked if I'd used it I could have said no. The employees were not knowledgeable whatsoever about their vehicles. I asked what the clearance for the vehicle was and was informed it was 7'1". It turns out the clearance is 9'. That is a very significant difference. One which is very dangerous if not properly disclosed. Uhaul should be ashamed of the lack of disclosure and training in regard to their larger cargo vehicles.Joshua S.

The web experience and the "mobile pick up" experience was dog shit. There should be more guidance for finding the truck for pick up at the very least. The equipment should also be with the truck so that I don't need to wait in line at the service counter. I thought the whole point of Mobile pick up was to avoid that? Silly. Your staff seemed on edge and overworked. Pay them a living wage and hire more help, it's not fair for your service staff to pick up the slack of a shitty wrb infrastructure. I rented an auto transporter, the employee, after hitching the transporter to the van, literally tossed me the keys with no words. No explanation on how it works, no tips or tricks, like they assumed I had used the thing a hundred times. Literally didn't say a word, just tossed me the keys.Colton C.

The only issue I have is that you send the vehicle out at 1/2 full. It is much easier to replace fuel when you go out full. I ended up putting too much has in. A staff member told me there is somewhere on the contract that tells you how much to put back in based on what you use, but that was after I returned it. If this is true, it should be pointed out prior, or in my case, made a notification on the app check in. On that note, that was more difficult than waiting in line for a staff member.Craig G.

First, shout out to Natasha. She was immensely helpful, kind and uplifting to interact with! Stressful moving day but she made things easy for me to get my truck ready. So much so that we decided to not do everything today, and I'll do another rental next week to finish up. Worth the additional money, and confidence grew in U-Haul today. The people that I spoke with on the phone, the reservation people were not that nice. They acted as if they had somewhere else to be, lost my order and when I tried giving them my reservation number, he acted as though he didn't even want it. Very rude on the phone. But when we got down to the storage facility, the Uhaul people were very helpful and showed me how to use the card and showed me where my storage was. When I arrived for storage the staff gave me too small of a unit because they assumed my trailer was a smaller size than it actually was and I had reserved a bigger unit in advance. If they had looked at my account and reservation to begin with they would've seen the trailer was a 6x12. After unloading a few items I knew it was too small so they said they were overbooked by ten units and didn't have a bigger size. I reserved everything in advance so after they looked on computer and me telling them I absolutely need a bigger unit they magically had my original size available. When I moved out and closed out the unit on Dec 1st they could not find my storage unit under my name. They had put both my first name with my emergency contacts name. So the guy who originally put my info in the computer messed up and did not even seemed like he wanted to be there or was new but none of this is my problem. I was glad to have had the free first month because I definitely wouldn't have wanted to pay for all these unnecessary employee errors. In the beginning it was excellent but as time went by I attempted several times to get a hold of the site manager, Steve Bendixson, by phone (almost every time it went to a customer service person not on site despite the phone number being supposedly to the store and that c.s. person said they would email Steve but I never got a reply, by email (only responses came during the last few months but generally meant my still having to go to the store --I had asked that he phone me as I use a wheelchair and now live quite a bit away and have to use public transportation). When I moved 1/2 of my belongings to a smaller unit I wasn't told I no longer had 24 hrs access so ended up making a trip to move the last of belongings out for nothing with volunteers. So score at beginning of lease until July of 2020 would have been a 5/5 stars then it slowly dropped and by the last month it was down to 1/5 but after a call to corporate office with the complaint Steve emailed me (again I had to go down because of his not calling which wasted almost 45 minutes of my time as this could have been done in the phone call) I would say it was at a 1.5 star. I am also at a loss as to why my unit had a padlock on it for supposedly lack of payment but my bill was current (luckily I had checked my unit during one of those having to come in person trips just before I took the last out and went and got Steve to look as he didn't believe me telling him of the presence of the special lock and posted notice). Your phone system needs updating to include a way to speak with the store directly and if someone has questions about the storage unit.jessica e. | Overall Experience

For the space like a "less than a small closet size" the cost is too high and should remain I feel around $70-75. The only thing I was displeased with was that we had reserved our truck a month or more in advance from a location near our home and it ended up not being available and we had to drive an hour away for a truck a day later. I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his staff. The young lady who seems to be in charge when Steve isnt there is amazing as well. We had some tough times because of Covid like thousands of other people. They were so kind and helpful and so willing to work w us on anything we needed. I work in the service industry and these two people made uhaul look like the best company for moving hands down. They both deserve recognition and raises. Uhaul did not have the trailer that I rented a week in advance. I had to get a smaller trailer instead. I wasn't able to bring everything I wanted on my move for this reason. When I had the hitch installed at Uhaul, they forgot to install the ball, ball mount, and pin. They also forgot to leave my car key inside the car.
