I arrived at the location for return my rental at 4:45 pm to ensure return before close at 5:00 pm. The person working the desk said it was too close to closing to complete my return and I would need to use the self return feature on the Uhaul app. If returns will not be processed within a certain amount of time before close, this should be made clear at the time of the rental. I rushed to ensure I provided the appropriate time for the return and respect the employees end of shift and I do not feel like I given the same respect in return.

I love pick up truck that I used, 2023 dodge ram. It has the hooks on truck's bed. Very comfortable ride. Powerful. I don't have time to calculate for refuel the gas. Just put about half of tank of gas. Love peoples there. Thanks

The cost to ret from Utah to NC was about 20% higher than Budget. But in fairness, Budget's truck that was reserved was not available when the time came to pick it up. My rental was a last minute deal. Great truck though. I would say as a former CDL driver, the brakes on the 26' truck with car hauler are a little under rated. You really have to anticipate stopping with this load. I would suspect more inexperienced drivers might have more close calls with not being able to stop. I would definitely rent again from Uhaul

Extremely disappointed in how the entire process played out. I do not recommend using Uboxes unless you have a lot of time and money to spare. I had 4 Uboxes. I called and arranged for self delivery for 1 box on Sat, Jan 20 and the other 3 boxes on Sun, Jan 21. On Saturday, I called again and asked if it would be possible to pick up any additional boxes. The person on the phone said that would be fine. BUT when my friends arrived, only two boxes were on trailers. That alone would have been fine since it was a last minute change on my part. However, one of the two boxes on the trailer was not even mine. It was an EMPTY BOX. *facepalm*. And then, the next day, Sunday, we went to return the empty box Uhaul incorrectly gave us and pick up the other three boxes only to be informed that the forklift operator did not come to work so they couldn't load my other 3 boxes onto trailers. This was a huge inconvenience. My family took time off work, my friend hired movers, we had a whole moving day plan that was ruined and cost us time and money. Uhaul couldn't even be bothered to give me a courtesy call to let me know so we wasted time driving over there. When I asked about monetary compensation considering the major inconvenience and waste of our time, not to mention the non refundable deposit paid to the movers, the manager told me "I'll see what I can do when you return the boxes". It took me another week and half to be able to get all the boxes and unpack them since we had to juggle work schedules and couldn't hire movers for fear Uhaul would fail again. Upon return, when I again asked about a partial refund again, I was told "once the return is processed we'll see what we can do". Well, return is obviously processed since I'm filling out the survey, so I guess "nothing" is what they can do. And once again, no courtesy communication. Just silence. I understand that things happen, employees call out sick, etc. But the lack of advanced planning and the disregard of any semblance of courtesy is the disappointing part. I've heard PODS has better customer service and I think the price would have ended up being not that much more with a lot less headache. Uhaul does not value the customer's time and they definitely do not keep their promises despite what the recording says when you call. Why even bother pretending, Uhaul?!

Each time I rent from this location I am overcharged, equipment I reserved online wasn't available and only a partial refund issued. I have picked up trucks that were dirty, French fries on the floor of cab. Charged for not cleaning up someone else's mess. I don't usuly rent from this location and won't do so again. I've also advised tenants preparing to move again. I have advised residents preparing to move NOT to rent from this location. That they too would risk overcharges, not credited for going under suggested mileage. Had I known just how much would be stolen from me, i would have hired movers to pack, move, unload for $506. I have been recommending this company outside of uhaul. I will NOT rent from 3900 S 55 E EVER AGAIN. I WILL ALSO SHARE MY OVERCHARGES, LACK OF EQUIPMENT, CHARGES FOR OTHERS MESSES WITH FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. I should have stayed with the store I've rented from in the past.

You charged me 204.00 after I moved, I called and was told sorry and would get a reversal and they still charged me and I had to file a dispute with my bank! Manager refused to get on the phone with me when I called! Manager should be trained on customer service and ethics!!!

I must say that I rarely respond to surveys, but today I am because I was so impressed with several of the folks at this store. First off my complements to Alaska for being so easy to deal with. Alaska is a true people person manager and his staff should bring donuts for their next staff meeting. Next are the two David's, David and David W. Both of these fellows went above the call of duty in making sure the new hitch looked very professional on our new Nissan. Alaska should take these two out to lunch. My first contact was Nick, he was helpful. Upon arrival that afternoon owner was helpful.The unit choice limited and my new unit was far from the door. Movers count steps and it was $1.00 per step, that was unfortunate. But the Semi-trailer had zero issues backing up to the access doors. The 11 steps up to the unit were not too challenging but for movers (&my bad knees) it can be an issue. 👍🏼 However, the woman, who had taken some time to show me another closer but larger unit, as she was tidying up another two units that woman was absolutely amazing. I wish I could remember her name. I’m looking forward to not having to worry about the unit or the security.

Only rented storage for a month. Told lady assisting me as much. She said that’s fine and only added my debit card and said it would close out. Checked out before my month was up and then I received lien notices about paying for the next month. Took hours to get a hold of someone- finally had to go down to talk to someone. Was finally resolved. But so so so inconvenient.

It would have been better, if the person at the call center would have set it up right. In stead of us being able to get into the storage that night we had to wait one more day. Which made us have to rent another truck to move. Also the unit wasn't as big as we needed. We had to rent another unit also.

The location is already difficult to get to with a gate and 2 boxes that you need a card to access each and every time you take a load from your belongings, but all of the staff is in training. Meaning, no one on staff understands that a nightly walk through to see what storage units have vacated that day is not optional. Every day. When I arrived they did not know which units were available, and a month after I moved out they attempted to charge me 2 times on a one months free storage that was only used for approximately 12 days, but less than 19 days with our a doubt. Know which units have vacated is the main goal.

We got there 15 minutes before our appointment. They were very helpful and worked around us unloading into our new storage unit, and turning in our truck and auto dolly.

This was a drive up storage rental. The reason we rented here was because of the easy drive up access. Without any communication to renters, they put a wall up and no longer allowed drive up access. They also raised the rent for now less services. Staff was unhelpful when asking why this was happening and then the location to enter the storage was completely moved to the opposite side of the building, again without any communication or notice to renters. This was a horrible renting experience and has potentially caused me to never return to uhaul again. I Will never recommend this location to anyone.

Due to this facility's remodeling plans, my tight deadline to get things into storage and the winter weather/storms, putting my things in storage here became one more stress that I didn't need. Day 1: I was informed that the big garage door was inoperable and I'd have to use a small, residential-home sized door to bring my things in. Didn't realize that there's a pretty big step to get into and out of that door and there's no ramp. I witnessed one man try to maneuver a flat-bed cart out of the parking lot up that step, and as he leaned his body weight into it, the stop stopped him immediately causing the cart's handle to jam into his torso/ribs/gut. That's a safety issue. Also, someone else pointed out having one door and not ramp is not ADA compliant. Day 2: The card scanners had been removed. Evidently this was out of the control of the employees who work there. I had try other doors and go around the building and wait in line for several minutes then ask an employee to let me in to the only working door that leads to my unit. The door was propped open with a wooden block. This did not feel secure in any way. There were other things that were inconvenient or annoying. Why was I automatically assigned a unit up 12 steps/stairs? I ended up donating a heavy $230 weight bench because I am moving alone and lugging that thing solo up and down 12 steps was the last straw for me. Anyway, the staff was friendly under the circumstances and did their best, but the remodeling situation over there requires a lot more time and patience than I have right now. I ended up renting a unit at Cubes which is comparatively convenient, well designed, accessible when they say they are. Cubes is also gated and even has elevators for people who have storage space on the upper floors. I hope the remodel goes well, but in the meantime, it's probably better to fully inform customers of what the remodel will mean for them. I definitely appreciate the free month they generously gave me though!

Your map and advertising says "drive thru loading/unloading". There is only one way in/out. Which is difficult with a trailer. It would be nice if you updated your advertising.

Customer service was not there by Amanda. I’ve always have had a great experience, until yesterday. It made my trip across country end frustrated. No one wants to drive 32 miles across country and have to deal with the attitude Amanda displayed yesterday. I chose to drive another hour back the other direction just so I wouldn’t have to deal with her .

The map indicates "drive thru" loading/unloading. However, there is not a drive thru. I went in with a trailer and had to back out. You should update your facility map to indicate one way in and out.

Your employee Amanda customer service skills made me decide that after 3 days of driving and as tired as I was, was not worth the attitude she displayed. I can understand, she may run a tight ship, but work with you customer. Don't make them feel that it was a mistake to choose uhaul.

We were at your location just before 8p. Your staff was very helpful. It would have been more convenient for us to use the drive in drop off. I did call ahead and was told I would have access if I got there by 8p. I did have access (through the man-door) but we would have come sooner had we known about the cutoff time for the drive in - or even know anything about it at all. It's such a great service! My only comment would be to communicate a little more info to those who make the effort to call in. I didn't know to ask the questions. Otherwise, I was super impressed with your staff.

Instructions on storage hours were not clear to me, there should be a pamphlet with hours on . The rep said to me briefly But not clear at all. I ended up moving my stuffs after the rolling door hours.

Everyone was terrific. Very helpful. The most difficult part was calling and trying to reach a live individual. That was impossible! Worse was driving up and seeing employees standing around talking on texting but yet too busy to pick up the phone so I had to drive 30 miles to storage unit to ask a question in person. Otherwise staff was friendly and helpful when I was there in person!

Terrible move out experience. And now I am being billed again and getting lein notifications even though the office knows I moved out at the beginning of the month (July). I will never use UHaul again. My storage is empty and I am getting late notices. And staff was rude to me when I moved out.
