I had a lady in the KC office that called me to tell me my trailer was not available on Friday and when I had to pick one up in Atchison KS she did not understand that is 1 hour out of my way and did not want to reschedule me to the St Joseph store for Monday told me even though the St Joseph store had checked on a trailer being returned I would need to schedule to pick the trailer up and it may be the one in Atchison KS I get schedule to use . Vary bad customer service from this lady hope she can be retrained before she runs off to many customers.Darren B.

When I dropped off the UHaul, there was a worker outside to take care of the dropoff stuff. She had a lit cigarette sticking out of her mouth the entire time. I had to keep moving around to stay upwind from her smoke. I don't expect the outside staff to be super professional. She was wearing jeans/t-shirts, sloppy bun....that's all perfectly fine for that job. But a lit cigarette when dealing with/talking with a customer? Not okay in my opinion.Crystal S.

I can't believe you charged me for something that never left you lot due to Mechanical problems that happened to My Truck that Still haven't gotten fixed yet . Get your details right. Charged for 500 miles when I drove the truck up and down Faraon a couple times. Told me the gas tank was at 3/4 of a tank and had less than half a tank when I got the truck. Guy who brought the truck out double parked it blocking a lady in her parking spot. Was so preoccupied with getting out of her way I didn't think to dispute the gas gauge and the representative never did a walk around or told me where the odometer should be. Not enough people at the counter had to wait 15-20 minutes every time I went in there. Horrible experience location literally stole $432 from me.Bradley K.

Friendly staff. I requested a 20' truck. Uhaul upgraded my order to a 26'. Pro: More space. Con: Comfort level driving a bigger truck one way out of state. Reduced fuel economy. They also changed the location where I was to pick up my equipment.Trey W.
I reserved an appliance dolly but there was not one on location. What the hell is the point of reserving something if it isn't there? They took it off of my bill, but a refund doesn't move my damn appliances, now does it. Also, Even though there is a UHaul location literally two blocks from me, I still had to drive 20+ miles one way to get a truck because my local guy only rents one-way. This is stupid! I had to PAY for mileage for moving five fucking blocks. And, insult to injury, somehow the truck registered 31 more miles than I calculated. I suggest you audit your fucking odometers. You people robbed me. $19.99 a day? HA I had to spend $130 to move five goddamn blocks. You people can go fuck yourselves!!!!!Craig F.
The owners/managers are amazing people, going above and beyond any business I have dealt with in St. Joseph. They accommodated my several needs last minute at closing time. They gave me guided tour and great detailed instructions which I appreciated. This is not the first time I've done business with them and certainly will not be the last when I'm in St. Joseph, MO. Great people and great service!! This is a busy location, yet the owners and their employees never hesitate to give us customers their "all". I do have one question regarding my cost. I rented a 10ft van, for $19.95 for local in town haul. We had estimated 20 miles and there was a $39 hold placed on the vehicle until return. I returned the truck about 22 hours later, with same amount of fuel (3/4 tank), and with a total of 10 miles traveled. Although I expected it to be closer to the $19.95, I was charged $42 and some change. I also purchased a packet of small boxes for approximately $21 and that charge went through separately at the time I picked up the truck with the "hold" placed. I spoke with a young lady who was quoting me two different options for a move to Katy (Houston), TX - a one way to drop off in Katy and a 2nd that was "in-town" with a 5 day rental. When my friends arrived to pick up the truck, the two options were somehow "married," so the quote I got was for 5 days 1100 miles and she added 600 miles. The price on that was supposed to be $145.32. When the truck was returned I was charged for the truck not being dropped off in Katy - though the reservation had been for Round Trip. Our uhaul had a bad battery. We had to jump it several times. Dani was very helpful and friendly at the location we used. We were not happy with the customer service rep that called us after we booked our uhaul though. She transferred our location so we were not able to use mobile pick up. I originally reserved a 6x12 enclosed trailer. The day before, they changed my reservation to an open trailer. I got there, had already done the check in the night before to speed things up. It still took over a half an hour, also the exact trailer I needed and reserved was sitting on the lot. The did have a smaller enclosed trailer that I ended up getting ( I asked when they called if it was possible to switch to the next size down enclosed and they said no. Anyway, they get me the 5x8 enclosed, even though the one I wanted and requested was sitting right next to the one smaller one they were giving me, they said it wasn't available. We bring the smaller trailer back 7 hours later and the big trailer is still sitting there. That trailer would have made a world of difference in how much extra time and work we had to do today. I was not a fan of the "reservation" system. The employees were okay, just seemed like only one knew what she was doing. Also threw off my whole schedule for the day, we were there at our scheduled reservation time and even did online check in and we still didn't get out of there for almost a half hour.Jeannie J.

I made a reservation to pick up a trailer and still wait over 40 minutes when I arrivedâ€¦â€¦ then had to show the help how to hook the trailer up. When I returned there was 1 person in the office with an office full of customers so I had to wait another 30 mins to drop the trailer off. I drove this U-haul 5 miles total I took a picture of the low fuel gauge they charge me 5 gallons in gas I drove his vehicle 5 miles and my reciept states so as well I should be reimbursed for the fuel they charged me!!!!Lawrence W.
Uhaul rental tow dolly was in excellent shape and did the job well. Only problems that I had with the rental is getting hold of someone to answer the phone at the store or at the Uhaul 1800 number. I have rented a few times at the same store and they are very friendly and work hard to serve the customer, but I believe that the store could use more staffing up front. I know that there is problems hiring right now so I understand the situation, but I have noticed that when you go in the store, there isn't always someone available at the counter. As for the 1-800 number to Uhaul, I'm pretty dismayed that I was put on hold for over 15 minutes before I gave up on getting my reservation corrected. What if my call was an emergency about their equipment? Need to do better Uhaul! Overhaul, I would recommend this store and U-hauls equipment.Matthew L.
