Luther and his coworker who were there when I checked out were great! I even needed a jump on my car battery and a guy at Uhaul helped. Went beyond the call of duty and if I needed a uhaul (ive rented there twice) or a storage unit again I'd come back in a second. Great people there!

I was given the keys to the wrong cargo van. When I went to customer service, no apology, I was told "just go out to the parking lot and look for someone" - what?????? When I went to to the lot there was no one there. I had to go find someone who finally straightened it out. I was on a tight schedule and this took much longer than it should have

I signed up to drive 10 miles. I have pictures to proves that I did not even drive 10 miles. Truck was 3/4 full of gas. Now I find a $30 charge for gas. Total rip-off. Counter officer was less than pleasant, just going through the motions. Guys on the lot were just standing around, not helpful at all - could not have cared less. I want my $30.00 back. You can call me to say it's been done - 978-944-8807.

While waiting in line, a young girl was walking in through the doors by the parking lot and walking past the boxes. I reminded her to put a mask on. She rolled her eyes at me and walked past me into the bathroom. She came out of the bathroom and I said "you need to put a mask on you're in a public place" and she scoffed at me sucking her teeth. I said "you can't be in here without a mask" and she laughed and kept walking all the way into the back employees section. I asked the man, Tim, at the desk "oh she works here?" and he said "yeah and?" and she said "she's representing your company with no mask on during a global pandemic" and he said "she doesn't need to wear a mask in here" and I said "yes she does it's literally the la"" and he proceeded to tell me that there are a lot of laws with this "Covid bullshit, what are we supposed to do just have a mask on for eight hours" and I said "yeah there's a F- pandemic" and and he said "she's working" and I said "it's not like she was in your break room she was walking around the store with all of us customers in here" (there were about 6 people in the store). He kept yelling at me about how there are no rules about masks in the U-haul store. A lady behind me spoke up and said "you need a mask if you're near people" and he thought it was me back talking him again and he told me to "get the fuck out of his fucking store". I asked him if there was a manager I could call and he said "good luck finding him he won't give a fuck either" and another lady told me that no one wants me there and to leave so I left. I am appalled at this. I then tried to go to Arlington's store, which was closed despite it being only 4PM adn the doors saying 5PM. I called customer service and the customer service woman told me "they are open until 5" and I said "how am I supposed to go in there" and she told me "to go in through the front door" I said "what don't you get about the fact the lights are off and the door is locked" and she said "They don't close until 5" like that changes anything. I then asked for a manager's number and got referred to Bob who was kind and understanding and stated that the anti-masker employees would be former employees and I hope that remains true considering they are risking people's lives during a global pandemic in one of the most strictest neighborhoods.

You guys need to fix the access door. We were literally never able to access our unit without having to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to just prop it open, since the code system you have implemented doesn't work. I would tell my friends to avoid your storage service because it's very inconvenient.

I got there at 7 pm when the office closed at 6 and I needed to have been there to check-in, but the hotline people didn't tell me that, so I just have to come back and do all the unloading in the morning. I would like there to be a 24-hour check-in for storage units. Also, there wasn't a lock on my unit when I arrived so I had to go get another one.

The door knob for the window was missing and there was trash in the side pocket on the drivers side. A bunch of candy wrappers. I wasn't explained the lights, windshield wipers... things on the Truck.

When I arrived, my reservation had been cancelled by U-Haul. I waited 30 minutes in line to speak to some one. The woman that assisted me was grumpy and not wearing a mask.

There was no one at the counter for long periods of time even though the line of customers was all the way at the door. After waiting in line for over 30 minutes, I got the keys. The truck was covered in snow and ice. The windshield wipers were stuck with ice. There was no one to be found to help with scraping off the ice and snow and I had to wait 20 minutes for it to melt with the engine on. Then I found a spare piece of wood to scrape the snow from the windshield and mirrors. My concern was that if no one had cleaned the outside of the vehicle, how could I trust the inside had been cleaned/sanitized? That thought, combined with the fact that the “change oil” light was illuminated, made me extremely uncomfortable during the trip. When I returned the truck, I asked the employee if the fuel charge could be waived due to the inconvenience of having to clean the snow off myself and he said he could. However, when I got the contract it showed that I was charged for the fuel and I can only assume the employee made no effort to keep his word. Disappointed once again with U-haul.

When I walked in the employees were not wearing masks and arguing over who was going to take the next break while checking me in. The mechanics were flirting with the front desk worker and they forgot to add my dolly to my order. Generally, the people I spoke with were rude and after looking at the google reviews, I did not feel that my experience was a one-off as other corroborate my experience.

When we got back we spoke with a manager regarding some unsafe items regarding the truck and we were told that they were getting rid of that truck anyways. Really? Yet you still have it out knowing it was unsafe. I have used this UHaul 3 times within a year so I am shocked that it was this horrible this time and for the amount we paid.

The only issue with the online process was with the free lock. There was no free lock in my unit as promised. Luckily, I already owned a uhaul lock and happened to bring it with me.

I rented a 5 x 8 trailer. The first trailer assigned to me was not road legal - bald spots on tires and in fenders held on with angle brackets. The aesthetics aside - how do you rent a trailer that is clearly illegal on the road? ( I refused it - I'l x law enforcement and safety aside I would hate to have to explain it to an officer of the law) The yard man was very helpful and changed it out to a legal trailer. Tim at the counter was very helpful. To be frank the two ladies on duty clearly were NOT having a good day. They were pretty standoffish from the beginning and tried to charge me for an extra day when I arrived early instead of asking me if I wanted to change the return time. They are the face of your business - not great. Maybe there is a training deficiency on your part. The yard lady on Saturday like the gent on Thursday were the type of image and service you want to project. Friendly, helpful and efficient.

The staff was very patient and flexible when we first arrived and changed our mind from a small second-floor unit to a larger first floor unit (after all the paperwork and getting a few pieces of furniture in.) Everyone was very nice and helpful anytime we needed assistance! It’s a very easy location and the one way/one way out of the parking lot is helpful. It was very clean!

The 24/7 truck share rental program failed completely and I spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service getting it resolved - please do not offer a program that is not going to work

I have been using this location for a long time to rent trucks to make food pantry food deliveries once a month for at least the last 15+ years. This is probably the 1st time that my bill got screwed up and they double charged me for some items resulting in getting charged for 2 days, however, Tom the manager was extremely helpful and apologetic and reversed the mistake very promptly.

When dropping off the rental there is confusion and the manager is a real jerk. Terrible social skills and really poor customer service. You can tell the other crew members dislike him too. I usually go to the Linwood site because those guys are great! This guy is trying to charge me $25 for trash left in truck. No way. I can send you an image of what it is. He said I was lucky to only charge me $25. He could charge me more.

Making a reservation with UHaul online is meaningless. I had to go to multiple locations because the first location didn't have a truck to match my reservation. The first branch booked the truck I wanted at a different location and assured me it was available only to find that it is not after I got there. The replacement of the replacement truck was not the size I needed or one way as I requested. The truck's side mirror was broken but I had to get going at that point and took the truck.

There was an issue with the computers that delayed my pickup by 45min, which made my data. little more hectic as I needed to move some things by a deadline. Also, my reservation was moved to a different location, which was further away, adding cost to my in-town rental.

My experience would have been great overall if it had not been tainted by an encounter with one of your employees. On move in date I realized the storage I was assigned and had paid for was already occupied so I went to get assistance in the main office and one of the ladies I spoke to was extremely rude to me and basically blamed a customer for something the company is in control of. I really do not remember her name but I would've definitely brought it forward.

Employees were not following covid procedures in a consistent way -- neither employee was wearing a face mask. When I politely asked if the women helping me would mind putting on a mask, she ignored me and started gossiping about me to the woman next to her -- about how if people don't want to come in to the store, they should do online pickup. I had attempted to do online pickup but none of my information transferred. The credit card machine also was broken and had to be restarted, so I stood there for 15 minutes. Eventually the employee had me hold my card up to the window so she could type it in manually. I had already put in my license and cc online. This was a terrible experience.

I was mistreated by Shaikh an employee at the location. On the other hand Tim another employee at the location was professional. He was great and did his job. At some point, Tim asked for assistance and I was shocked by how Shaikh was even treating Tim his coworker. Very awkward situation. As a customer to de-escalate a situation that shouldn't be one. I have multiple contracts from Shaikh and even had to follow up with customer service upon exit to confirm. My final thoughts are he needs re-training on dealing with teammates and customers. Thank you.

I was told when i moved into my first unit that if it was not big enough, I would be able to upgrade to a larger unit if necessary/available. Having decided to upgrade, I looked at the website and saw a much larger unit - and then i called the store and reserved it. I walk in the next day and was told that not only is there not a unit this large available, the room listed on the website DOES NOT EXIST. So while I was less than pleased with the customer service and the lack of willingness to help me resolve this situation, I was even more appalled at the way Uhaul's website is run and how their reservation system doesn't really mean anything (a direct quote from an employee).

There was a sticky blue substance that leaked into my unit and got all over my belongings so i was really upset about that! :( Aside from the fact that my unit was not clean at all the experience was pretty good in terms of pricing and accessibility. I won’t use u-haul again because it’s too stressful not knowing whether my things will be safe from damage while in the unit, but the staff were very nice and helpful.

The condition of my storage unit was average. The people in the office were not very friendly or helpful. I would often be put on hold up to 30-40min and would rarely get my question answered when I finally talked to someone. When I was moving out, they did not allow me to drop my Pod on the property (Unless It was a U-box) so therefore I needed to rent A box truck to transport all of my things to my Pod located 0.2 miles away. All around, my possessions were in good condition when I left, however U-haul as a company seems very disorganized.

The storage facility is easy to access with lots of dollies to use to help with the move. The only problem I had was that my access card didn’t open the doors after hours but luckily someone was able to let me in. I would recommend getting an access code as well in case you have the same problem.

I had a question or issue about closing out my unit. I called for 2 days, with a 30 minute wait each time. When I was finally able to get through, I was told I needed to go into the office. That day, I went to the office and the girl who assisted me was extremely rude and dismissive. Everytime I said something, she walked away from me. I was told I needed to call the manager and was not able to be assisted at that time. I live over an hour from the storage unit and had to drive all the way there for nothing. I had my storage unit for a year and a half and am extremely irritated about my experience and how I was treated.

1. I was very surprised when I got to my unit, I was told it was 6' deep x 6' wide by 8' high. Instead, it was 8' deep x 6' wide x 6' high. I really wanted that extra height, but unfortunately this was the very last unit available on an elevator floor. (Units are split level with some on the elevator level, the other up a steep flight of 8 stairs.) 2. I was REALLY surprised to find that there is no lighting at all within the unit, so we were basically moving things around in the dark. 3. There is a concrete post right in the corner of the unit, rendering about 24 cubic feet useless. The people were lovely. Everyone I worked with was polite, patient, and wearing a mask. So the fault is mostly not with the employees.

The Uhaul team and storage facility were always a pain to deal with. Nothing was ever quick and easy and everything always took 3 more steps than it should. I tried to change some account information and had to call 4 different times Over 2 days to get somebody who could make it work since they never called back like they said they would. The facility was clean and secure but swipe access never worked the first time. It would take 4-29 swipes to enter or I’d have to go to the office and they would reactivate the card. I could never get access after office hours. Overall we used Uhaul because it was cheap and the location was convenient but customer experience was pretty terrible.

I was concerned and uncomfortable due to a staff person not wearing a mask, who worked with me face/face and with other customers. If this staff member had a medical/physical reason for not wearing a mask, they should not have been working in direct contact with customers. All of the best information and science tells us that wearing masks is the BEST method for limiting the spread of covid-19 and other contagious illness.

Your website says to be 15 min earlier before closing to be able to get the unit that I reserved so i arrived and I was in the office 35 min earlier. the person in charge he didn’t want to give me the unit complaining how he was short stuff. So He made me drive back again a distance 45 min and come back an other 45 min drive so i can get the unit next day. I work in a fast food industry as a manager I am always short stuff and costumers come in 10 min before close what would I say I am sorry I don’t make your food ? He had only one customer that was done after 10 min probably he was lazy to do the work that was exactly 10 min cause next day the lady helped me took only 10 min for the contract got the lock and that was it.

The male cashier inside was extremely rude. He was unwilling to help me sign-in electronically and refused to sell me mattress bags inside. He even told me that I was in the wrong place, but when I showed him my reservation for this place he begrudgingly found my reservation. Store was VERY busy due to the colleges moving students out of the dorms, yet there was only one person working at the desk who is very overwhelmed by the people standing in line. There did not seem to be a manager or anyone else around. Even though we checked in online we still had to go into the store and wait in line because our code did not work, and there was no free lock inside the storage room they initially assigned us and once we got the lock it did not work because the door was not lined up properly. We had to go back and wait in line again in order to be switched into another room. There was a gentleman who was taking people to their storage rooms and he came with us to make sure that the room was satisfactory this time and that the lock did work. We rented our unit on March 11th, the day before U-Haul announced that college students could have one month for free. I have called the local store several times and no one answers and I get transferred to the National customer service who keeps telling me there's nothing they can do that I have to talk to the local locationfor the free month since we rented the unit the day before the free month was offered by U-Haul. I will still continue to call because the only reason we rented this unit was because my daughter was told to move out of her dorm and we knew if we didn't rent it immediately we would probably not be able to get a spot. The workers we dealt with were friendly, but the store seemed to be understaffed, and the staff that was there seems to be overwhelmed. Perhaps it was because it was the first day after move out to were announced for the colleges...
