Well not overbook your trucks, and if you do need to realign contact the customer first to see if they can even use the equipment you are putting them in. I went from a 10' to a 15' to a 26' all in the space of a few hours. I had only a few household items and a 26' truck was way to big.James W.
The young man (Marcus) that checked me out was working alone Saturday morning and the store was very busy. When I arrived there was a rather upset customer and a mother/daughter first time renter. He handled the first customer complaint efficiently (issue was at a different location) and satisfied the customer. That's where he really impressed me because two other customers came in at the same time. He was able to take care of both the mother/daughter and me at the same time helping answer questions while completing my reservation and explaining the trailer I was renting to the mother. It wasn't the fastest checkout ever but the patience under pressure he showed was fantastic.TROY C.

Madison only handled our arriving u-boxes. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our 3rd party deliver/unload company was a no show and u-haul staff made quick arrangements to just deliver the u-boxes so we could unload ourselves. The women who delivered them were wonderful, arrived as scheduled, friendly and professional, returned the next day as promised to pick them up. Just a heads up for new customers, if charges are unclear, you will be charged for each u-box, one months rent, to deliver boxes to you, to insure them, to transport them across states, and deliver them again from main terminal to your home. load/unload help at each end is also extra. Consider all these costs when preparing your budget.laurie B.

My container per the shipped arrived a week early but we heard nothing from the facility. We had to call 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days to find out what happened. Each time we were told it was not there despite telling them the shipper provided a signed bill of laden that it was received. On the 4th day we received an email that it was there and we would be called about accessing it. Again nothing until we called 2 days later. We have shipped multiple U-boxes to various parts of the country and have never had this much difficulty which leads me to believe it is the facility that was the problem. A very disappointing experience. We still have not received credit for the box "arriving" late but the facility was quick to bill us for the next month's storage fee. There needs to be review of their customer service.Jeffrey W.

The young lady from Madison that delivered and picked up the U-Boxes was awesome. Ken at the Crossville U-Haul was great, he had the boxes ready to be picked up. The only issue I had was Crossville U-Haul they didn't have the equipment to deliver the boxes (I understand why) but we had to drive over 60 miles round trip with each box. The cost to use a 3rd person was off the chart (over $2000 ). But other than that I would use the U Boxes againWalter W.

My U-Box took about 10 days past its "guaranteed delivery date" to get here. I called several times to get an estimate of when it would arrive and got no answers. On all of these calls I repeatedly asked for the location of my box, to which every operator replied that they couldn't tell me because that information was not available to them. (Bear in mind, you can track pretty much anyone if they have a smart phone in their pocket.) U-Haul barely ever asked me my name when I called and proceeded to develop an attitude with me when I repeatedly asked where my box was. To boot, when my box finally arrived, my big-screen TV was broken. This company does not seem well-equipped to handle the volume of orders they've received lately, and their customer service team is lackluster at best. Never did I feel comfortable that my life's belongings were in good hands, and when they arrived I found some of my things to be broken. Wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, and the $50 they give you for every day they're late on delivery is not worth the headache.BENJAMIN F.
PLEASE even out the floors. Kudos on repurposing the building but the uneven floors make moving an awkward load hard. The courtesy carts are wonderful and necessary since the facility is so large but if your storage is on the ground floor, and far from the dock, you have to creep along or your load will bounce off the cart. The truck clearly had had a smoker in it. I had to drive about 100 miles total today in a truck that stunk of stale cigarettes covered up by some sort of air freshener, but it was a pretty miserable experience. Also, there was an error message regarding tire pressure and the employee said it was nothing big, but driving all day with that tire pressure warning was not pleasant at all. Also, I had to wander around the location when I was picking it up trying to find someone to help. Found an employee cleaning trucks and he tried to call someone, but said he couldn't find anyone so I had to just stand around and wait. Someone finally showed up to assist me, but the delay was rather inconvenient. This was all during the pick-up. The guy at the drop off, I think his name was Joe, was very nice and did a great job so kudos to him please.Anthony P.

My U-Box did not arrive by the guaranteed arrival date. My suggestion for improvement would be for better communication when this happens. No one was able to tell me where the U-Box was, if it was lost, or if it was in a ravine. A tracking device on the U-Box would have alleviated the stress I felt not knowing if or when I would get my items. In the end my U-Box arrived, intact, with all items in great condition. I would use U-box again if needed.audrey W.

Along with extra equipment a place(bay) you can pull in and easily load and unload and an elevator makes it so much easier and better!!! The gentleman that helped me was so helpful and I had rented the wrong size and instead of doing like most do go ahead and give it to me he showed me rather and then I got to get a correct size that was needed!!!Tasha C. | First Impressions
