Check out was easy and fast, the return was much slower. I had to go find someone to check me out.The equipment return for trailers should be marked. I was not given help with the texted app and rental contract. The explanation on insurance was not clear and I ended up paying for duplicate coverage on the rental. I'm not happy about that. Get the friggin Android app to work! Infuriatingly, nobody was able to get the app to work (even customer service said to use the website because the Android app doesn't work). Wasted an hour trying to get the Android app to work (it doesn't) to check in and out - was forced to screw around dealing with the "we could care less" attitude of employees.Paul B.

Please hire people who actually care about what they do. The person who opened the facility was late and was moving at a snail's pace when she got there. There was no urgency even when she saw 6 people waiting patiently to get their rentals. Time is money. Please please have some consideration for other people's time. We all have things to do. Our rental was for 9, we didn't get our rental unit until about 9:45 this is ridiculous. Almost an hour to get a rental!!! Customer service and taking pride in your work is a dying art. I get it. Staff was helpful in coaching me through the digital rental procedure for a pickup truck. I've not rented from U-Haul for several years, though I do often re-fill propane tanks there. The web-based reservation system worked well; no issues for this first-time user. A positive experience.John T.

Twice I tried to arrange online/ early pickup at 8 am with 24/7 truck share, and both times the online app did not work and I had to wait until the location opened at 9 am. The second occasion this occurred there were two other customers for whom the online pickup also did not work.Vanja D.
Horrible service. The tires had the check light on all the time during the drive, and they gave me the vehicle with that being a driving hazard i spite of pointing it out. I got charged over $30 for gas for driving for 8 miles only! They are the worst, I am filing a claim for negligence for providjg me an unfit vehicle and for overpricing in court.Sumit B.

I got the equipment late because the app was not working, the computers inside the center were slow, and created this long line of people waiting, extending to outside and I have to waste 45 min waiting to get the keys. Then I return the truck late by 20min and I get billed an extra rental period. Go figure. But on the plus side, the people working there were actually nice and apologetic for our time wasted waiting in line, and the truck was clean.DanySebastien L.

No one mentioned the $20 "convenience fee" if I returned after hours. I was given instructions on how to return, and even given an estimate of total charges AFTER TELLING THE ATTENDANT I WOULD RETURN AT 9:00 PM, but that estimate did not include the "convenience fee." The hours posted online are not what there practicing. The access codes for doors don't work the access cards your given don't work on doors .the security system is below par. Like with everything else involved on Uhauls side of my move, things were not at all what was requested. I requested and reserved a certain sized storage unit. When I arrived , I was told it wasn't available, but I could have a 4x4 unit. I explained thay I had a one bed apt full of goods, and needed the bigger unit that was promised me. I was then given an 8x8(?) Unit that was still too small for my belongings. I had to get an additional 4x4 unit. Now I'm stuck with 2 payments a month. Uhaul has played bait and switch with me this entire move. From the first truck and trailer that was switched out and too small, to the storage. Also, the movers that uhaul listed ended up tearing my mattress when they forced it into the storage unit, then scratched up my dining chairs.James A. | First Impressions

Reserved a bottom floor unit, and the website showed me that there was one available. Got to the store to see the unit and had to wait a really long time for someone to even come to the counter, then was told that there were no more bottom floor units. I had just moved here so I didn't really have time to look for another storage unit on the spot ( which was probably a huge mistake) and decided that this would have to do. I had auto-pay set up, and even got emailed receipts, and after having just paid rent, I got a notice that our rent had not been paid and was told our unit's lock had been removed and a notice placed there as well. I had to go to the store and show the email to have that taken care of, only to find out they had lost my original lock, so I had to get another one. When we finally got a new unit somewhere else, I noticed that there were water marks on some of our things that weren't there before, so something had to have leaked or sprayed onto our things. I'm glad we were able to have at least some kind of storage for the time being, and for what it's worth, it was secure and nothing was stolen or damaged. The employees, when there is one available, are very friendly. Not super happy but it wasn't the worst possible experience.Miki H. | Overall Experience

The instructions were great, and staff was friendly. The unit was clean enough, but we did have to pick up dinner trash and hammer down a few staples that were dangerously sticking out. The most important part was that our unit did not measure 8' by 6' which was absolutely surprising. It was 7.5' by 5.25' which made a huge difference for us. We packed up an 8x6 area at home to figure it out, and when we showed up, the unit was noticeably smaller than advertised! Hey there. Please give me a call when you get a moment. My rep Jailin was doing her best but she was ill, sneezing (yipes with Covid), and exhausted when she helped me this afternoon. I was promised an 8x8 unit and rolled in with a moving van and auto transporter, 1 way reservation. I had to get the car off myself, outside the lot because it was so hectic and understaffed inside the gates. And in the end... (cue the sad muzak), the storage unit I was promised was double booked. I drove for 2 days, had follow up calls confirming the unit was available just to find out I couldn't store my stuff at this location once I arrived. I'm going to use the remaining days of the use of the moving van but am very nervous about what comes after that. Please, if you would, call me so we can discuss my plan B for where to store my belongings if I run out of time. P.S. I know covid has wreaked havoc on communication and software systems and therefore not everyone has the best and latest information, but it had a severe negative effect on me during a major move in my life.
