The desk owls are incredibly rude. They act like you're being a major inconvenience is your have simple questions. My boyfriend and I both had that exclusive separately, and over 2 different days. The truck made some kind of loud noise on and off. And the changes were outrageous. Awful.Ryan G.

Everything was perfect up until the day of delivery. The driver did NOT communicate with me even though I left explicit instructions that they needed to call me before arrival, as I had to have maintenance unlock the loading dock. I had a delivery timeframe of 7-9a, didn't hear from anyone by 9:30, called and was told, â€œI don't know where the driver is but the ubox is on the truck.â€ Nice. Still didn't hear from anyone by noon, called again, THE SAME LADY told me that the ubox was delivered at 7:30 that morning. How was I supposed to know? Why wasn't that information relayed to me when I called at 9:30?? The driver dropped the box on the side of the curb without ANY communication to me, which was on the complete opposite side of the building where it was supposed to be dropped. You can improve service for your next customer by doing better. DO BETTER. Jesus christ.mia A.

We had just rented a car hauler 1 week previous for the same car. It cost us $65 for 5 hours. We rented a car hauler this week for 5 hours and it cost us $183. We were not happy with the huge price increase and felt like we really were taken advantage of. Not sure we will recommend u-haul in the future.Galen M.
The lady helping helping me was great! She showed me how to hook up and unhook it. Gave great driving tips, and most importantly, she helped me learn how to back it up. Since that turned out to be most difficult, we unhooked it, turned it around and hooked it back up. This location was also very clean.Janet H.

The comment below applies to the original location at 3100 Main St Suite 10, Kansas City, MO 64111 in which we booked online. We had no problem @ the 1520 Locust St Kansas City, MO 64108 location. The store located @ 3100 Main St Suite 10 was to open at 9am CST. We arrived @ 9:05am CST only to find out it was closed and several other customers were there waiting as well. The one and only employee arrived 15mins later. He then went into the store and locked the main door behind him leaving myself and the other customers outside so that he could go in and turn everything on first. He finally unlocked the main door around 9:30am CST. It took several more minutes to check in as he was the only employee working only find out that the trailer that we had reserved online was not available at this location. So much for the guarantee!!! The young man had no idea when he would have a trailer available. His next response was that maybe you can try the store located down the street @ 1520 Locust St. I asked if he could call that location to check their inventory before we drove over. He called but then was placed in the queue with a 30min hold time. I told him to forget it as I would be able to drive there in that amount of time.KEITH H.

It took 60min to get my rental because their systems were down, I got charged twice because of it, and I'm sure will have to call uhaul to get that fixed. I was called because I was late back with the rental due to arriving at 0945 for a 1000 trailer rental that wasn't attached to my vehicle until 1040. Not to mention I requested the rental for pickup in Kansas City, KS, and did not get called until less than 24 hours prior to my rental date to see if pickup in Kansas City, MO would be OK; leaving me no options to either go with a different company, or try to find a uhaul closer to me that could accommodate. I feel with COVID and everything else going on, the concept of customer service has gone out the window. Not enough man-power=over-stressed and underpaid workers, and the paying customer can't expect anything more than MAYBE the product they are paying for. The employees were top notch though, it's nothing their fault, but it shouldn't have been as inconvenient as it was to get a $15 piece of equipment.Rhiannon H.

95% of the time we came to load or unload there were people doing nothing in the bay. Often had to go out to the street because they refused to move even though they were not loading or unloading. Could be a little sketchy from time to time but I suppose that's downtown for you. Staff was fantastic helping to free up the loading dock so we could have a chance to unpack the uhaul. Access hours could be better or more clearly articulated. We drove 6 hours from Iowa with the truck and only had less than an hour to unpack by the time we arrived. We knew the office would close but not that we would lose access to our storage locker With a moving truck of our size, I wish we didn't have to move it all up to the third floor for storage. The space was sufficient but required dozens of trips up the freight elevator. Again, something I wish I would have known prior to arrival but, after successfully navigating the truck through downtown KC, I didn't want to transport my cargo to a different storage facility. I can't speak highly enough about the staff. From allowing us to stage the truck at the facility during the day so that we could take care of the business portion of the trip, to helping to move and park the truck...can't speak highly enough about the staff you had working there today 13 May (day shift)Hazel G. | First Impressions

Something did chew on the edges of my expensive butterfly table. But the staff at that location created a raving fan. Always helpful and willing to please. Manager and staff polite and professional. I am a military personnel and have orders to transfer to California in December. I have had the unit since August. On 11/18 the military set up a moving company to get all of my things, when I opened the door to my unit I surprised to find there was water damage! Pools of water was on top of my bins, some of my boxes collapsed do to the water. By this time the unit was basically drying out and creating black mold. My head board is cotton and was also ruined. The moving company had to be rescheduled so I could go through everything and repack/throw away ruined items. I was never notified by phone call or email about the incident. The manager ensured me someone was supposed to call all the renters to come check their unit . I was also informed that a sprinkler system pipe burst and they had to get all the piping redone on the 6th floor. This process was highly stressful and very inconvenient for me. The manager that day however was very helpful and gave me everything complimentary to repack my items and even moved me down to another storage unit that did not have damage so my items could be picked up on 11/19.Jaquela S. | Overall Experience

In the middle of clearing out my storage unit on Monday, the elevators stopped working which made it impossible to move my couch and a few other large items. After waiting to see when the problem would be resolved, I decided to continue my move, leaving the couch in the storage unit to be retrieved when the elevators were working once again. The broken elevator issue created significant delays for my move which resulted in moving expenses that were much higher than I budgeted for. The moving company I hired is paid by the hour and distance driven, so having to wait to figure out what was happening with the elevator and then having to return to the storage unit hours later added a significant amount of time that I would not have had to pay for had the elevator been working properly.Jacob B. | Overall Experience
