Overall - my moving experience with U Haul has been once again, POOR. Every time I use U Haul (which I have to - because it seems that you have a monopoly in this industry) - I have to make multiple calls to confirm logistics, change & update payment methods, speak with rude-short-winded customer service reps, and have a drawn out experience. Moving is the third most stressful life event - honor that - and help your customers embrace this experience with love & success. Not anxiety & turmoil. Update your interface - why do I have to call multiple times to update a payment method?! It should be done successfully the first time. Until next time.ilias B.

How about test drivibg youre vehicles when they are returned, the truck broke down on high way at 60 mph with no powerstering and barley any brakes because truck shit off. Then had to sit for 2 hours to wait for tow truck. Then towed to destination and the tow truxk could not put uhal in drive way. Had to unload all furniture and boxes wich was 70 YARDS TO THE DOOR. IF I COULD RATE IT A NEGATIVE 10 I WOULDLaila H.

Customer service when picking up my reserved van was the worst experience I have had with an company. We waited for 10 minutes for someone at the front desk but no one was working, or even visible in the whole store. We then went outside, found an employee who was very rude to us and when we asked if anyone would help us he shouted that someone should be inside when in fact they were not. There was one man we had to shout for in the back who was able to get someone. This someone ended up being the same guy that was rude to us. Everyone else we encountered except for him was kind and helpful. I would suggest having better customer service and at the bare minimum, manners towards other people.ADRIANA F.

On 8/15/2021 we were informed, by our moving helpers, that our U-Box was lost at the 1515 Gallatin Pike N, Madison, TN location when they arrived for pickup. We drove 25-minutes to this location to inquire about this situation and see how it could be resolved since we had to accomplish the move-in on 8/15/2021 as contracted and scheduled or face a penalty. Upon arrival a Caucasian man with short (crew cut) hair (we were later told his name is Mike) informed us that our U-Box was found. He then said something along the lines of: "with all the people moving here right now; you can't expect me to run all this smoothly on what they are paying me". I was aghast by this statement! I do not know what this man is paid, but I pay good money to U-Haul and I DO expect something like this to run smoothly! Is this is the attitude among U-Haul employees? I am HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with this HORRIBLE customer service and currently am reluctant to ever use the U-Box option with U-Haul ever again!Laurette H.

The UHaul arrived with the lock broken. It looks like it was crushed. But I must commend the driver. Her name was â€œTruâ€ she was able to help my very distraught daughter who received the box remove the hinges to open the box while my daughters movers were still present. One slight problem, U-box pickup time was promised as 4 to 5 pm, but U-haul truck came at 11 am instead. I wanted to have someone there to make sure there were no problems getting your truck into the driveway, with possible cars in the way, but no one was at the house at 11 am. It worked out ok anyway.Daniel S.
U-Haul gave our delivery drivers the wrong U-BOX. When they arrived to deliver our furniture, it was an empty U-BOX. Our movers had to drive all the way back to U-Haul to pick up the correct box.Emily J.

The guy behind the counter was very dismissive and seemed to have an attitude. Everyone else in the store was friendly. I just happened to get him. Same attitude for when i returned the vehicle. Staff was not in the store for a good 5 minutes. He was probably on his way out with his 2 week notice handed in alreadyKarlson W.
Don't use this UHaul location. While the staff I met were very helpful, there seems to be nobody on staff to answer the phones. They also overcharged me by $50 - I returned the truck keys at the counter on the same day I rented it, but I was charged a late fee for returning the truck after closingh, and two days rental though it was only a few hours. I called UHaul and they opened a ticket and said I'd hear back within 3 days, but I never heard back from the location or from UHaul.DAVID W.
I reserved a 10' truck. They changed my equipment to a 9' van last minute. The employee wouldn't even hear me out. I ended up needing to make 2 trips rather than 1.Karl S.

Customer service shouldn't leave anyone on hold for over an HOUR! When you actually speak to a representative, have them pass on the information as they promised. I spoke with three different people in the same day, no one had a clue of my situations. Update your software and retrain your staff to do vehicle inspections correctly. But this time they made me do everything again at the store and because of their lack of attention. My stuff got wet in the rain. Better system to book u-box. Work backwards from the day I want it delivered. I had to keep switching around dates on the booking site and even then i couldn't get it delivered on the date I wanted because it was booked. Set expectations of how long in advance to book a delivery of a u-box. Hire a service designer and listen to them!Charlie N.
