Your customer service is horrible , there's a way to talk to people at all times and if you say you gonna rent out a truck with an amount of gas that's on the contract, make sure you guys do the same , stop stealing from the people , I'm very disappointed , never again , and for employee (venee hazel) you need to go back to training cause you honestly don't know what your doing and how to talk to people , you tried to steal from me but I was 2 steps ahead of you , and get off your phone while you at the front desk !
The first time I went to a UHAUL Location .... in queens (college point blvd) the people there were not helpful at all... We asked for a small UHAUL... we were moving from NYC to VIRGINIA...Both employees said GOOD LUCK finding one becaue everyone was moving and there were no UHAULS in all queens... didnt even checked nor gave us mlre options where we could go checked ....so this was for the first week of NOVEMBER .... we said THANK YOU and left thinking im so screwed I dont have anything till further notice we sat in the parking lot and called UHAUL and got more info by phone then what we did in person....so the employee on the phone was very helpful and I ended upreserving on the date that I needed was all set to rent my first UHAUL....then my second time I needed another UHAUL for the week of DECEMBER 27... I called by phone and the person who picked up said GOOD LUCK finding one that week ...there is no UHAUL in "the tria state area"...once again im panicing didnt know what to do.... I went ONLINE .... to your website and in less then 20minutes I got a UHAUL reserved for me the week of DECEMBER 27... Once again I am very disappointed at the Customer service you guys provided us....its like no one wants to be bothered...nor wants to help a customer go above and beyond to get a UHAUL...whats the point in working for customer service if you dont want to provide HELP.... It will be great if you guy monitor MORE the employee's you guys are hiring lately....This comment does NOT go for the location in the BRONX at all....thankful they had a UHAUL for us....this comment go for the UHAUL branch located in College Point Blvd near Main street unexacceptable work performance at its best...
Only comment: There is always a long wait to take care of business because of only one Attendant to accommodate all clients. Otherwise I would rate excellent. Thank You,

The vehicle was great and clean customer service was excellent I recommend it to everybody prices were reasonable God bless to all
The only thing to note about the truck was that it sometimes smelled like exhaust fumes were coming out of the vents, causing a little headache.

The customer service rep at the location was amazingly welcoming and helpful. The truck was not clean, it was a Saturday which is a busy day for customers and uhaul so I took the truck as is.
Be more fair to customers instead of holding their items hostage. The policy sucks and I will never rent from them again. I had to pay a month of storage because I went over 3 days. That's robbery!
Be more customer friendly . I called the week before to reserve two dollys and the person informed me I was good to go , the day of the move the counter person informed me “oh we have no more Dollys they are on a first come first serve basisâ€. Which I was never informed , and I don't see the point of reserving the equipment if it will not be available. Not only were not unapologetic, but another employee chimes in we don't have any here so move nothing we can do. This was very disappointing as we truly needed that equipment. Then we I give her my debit card she says their is a system error with your card, the second employee says “no that's on our end.†The first employee doesn't not even say sorry but proceeds to tell me she will try again and if it doesn't again I will have to pay cash up front. Eventually after a while the system works and I'm able to use my card after I told I have no cash on me. Overall horrible to deal with as people are dealing with a lot to move to be told equipment you reserved is not available and notified in advance . once again not customer friendly . Would not use again

This was my first time renting from this location. The staff was friendly, helpful, respectful, and knowledgeable. The equipment was clean and return was seamless.
Just make sure they check gas gauges had a little Bad experience went I'm leaving with the truck came out to be empty and the contract said I had a Little less than half Tank . Not good .

Quicker rental process
Truck has serious mechanical problem. Steering shaking like a bad ball joint or tie rod. Hoped up down fiercely. Not like a normal truck by worse. I owned a delivery service in the past and had box truck which were older and didn't ride like that, and have got like that I would have them serviced.
I did an online reservation for a specific date and truck. Later I was called to inform me that my reservation had been cancelled due to unavailability. I then changed my reservation through various calls to adapt to my needs. The day I had to move, when picking up the truck I had rented (and that had been confirmed), I was informed this size of truck was unavailable and was offered a van instead.
I received a call 36 hours before my move telling me my truck would not be ready until 5 hours after the pick-up time I had reserved it for. The time that I had planned my moving labor, trip details, and storage facility arrival time. They said they don't recommend planning any of these things until I have a confirmed pick up time - that is a completely unreasonable suggestion in New York City on a popular move out date. Then, while I was in the cab on the way to pick up the truck at the new time, they texted me that it would be even an hour later. Forcing me to make yet another last minute change to my already screwed up plans, putting the moving company that was helping me in a very difficult position, and pushing my travel out of NYC to an even later hour.
Very friendly staff good service
Have your employees with good attitudes, I was greeted with disrespect and a nasty attitude. Would like it if it was different. I came in with respect and left disappointed.
Make sure when you reserved equipment that they have it when you get there..thier was no equipment there that was a very horrible experience because we really needed the appointment to move out furniture.
Keep trucks cleaner,otherwise good experience.
I was supposed to get my truck from 1780 E Tremont ave, Bronx NY but they didnt have my reserved truck so sent me to another location 10 miles away and hace refused to get me the $50 guaranteed vehicle reserve credit. This is NOT fair and honest.

The truck was poorly maintained and he was our old truck
I drop the vehicle on time and was getting call saying the vehicle was not drop off until I went to the location and told them and then they say it was their mistake they forgot to close the account so I was getting blame for their mistake very unprofessional then was told I was not the first person to happen the same mistake
I would like to speak to a representative regarding my experience.
The app experience was not easy (i'm an avid technology user and trainer). There were no more furniture pads for rent, but there were some for sale (feels like the branch is just trying to make some extra $$s) Wasn't able to return the unused products to a different location (I went to a specific location, and they said don't know anything about it) I wasn't able/allowed to return the truck to another location, which took me another 2 hours + taxi.

The first truck I was given as soon as I opened the cargo area I saw 5-10 roaches. They all scattered it was quite atrocious. I went back inside and all the manager could say was I'm sorry about that. The next truck he gave me the middle seat belt buckle was missing and the entire front cabin smelled like cigarette ashtrays. I will not ever delight in coming back to this uhaul place.
To be honest my experience with your company was very disappointed. I couldn't believe when I got a phone message from you guys, less than 15 hours of my reservation, saying that you didn't have a truck for me. So I ended up with a truck much smaller than what I reserved so I had to finished my moving with 3 extras trips with my own car since I couldn't load all my things on your truck. It was stressful for me and very disappointed at your company.
I wasn't able to pick up or return the truck using the online option. I tried multiple times but it couldn't locate me. My location setting on my phone was on. So I'm not sure why this didn't work. Therefore I was charged the extra $20 since it was after hours and I had no choice but to just drop off the keys.

Hm.... don't want to give this bad review but the experience is horrible:((( planed my move a week an advance and got confirmation that all set in the morning and then an hour before moving time get notified that pick up location is different... drop off location is even worse 🤦ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ The worst experience Ever.... sorry but it can be that easy for you to change in last minute and impossible for Customers to get any flexibility in the last minute changes from your side:( completely disappointing experience. Think more then twice to rent Uhaul. No help from the company at all 🤨 only responsibilities that I must to follow no meter what. This is least to say unprofessional and unacceptable. Never would recommend or try to use that company again.
I rented an Auto Transporter, only issue was that one of the wheel straps for the front tires was not long enough to secure the tire. When I returned the Auto Transporter, I let the attendant who was handling the returns that one wheel strap needed to be replace because it was to short to secure the wheel.

I waited over an hour and a half to get my truck. The “system was down†and this location was a nightmare. Somehow thought with the system being down, other people who came in much after me got their trucks but I was told to still wait for the system to come back up. No information was provided, I tried to speak to a uhaul representative online and no one answered my messages. I finally got a truck close to 2 hours later with most of the warning lights on the dashboard lit up. When I told an attendant this I was told “the trucks aren't perfectâ€. When I spend $150 dollars to wait 2 hours for a truck, I would at least expect it not to have a check engine and check tires light. Didn't really give me confidence in the truck while driving 45 miles in it. Honestly the worst truck rental experience that I have ever had.
Add workers, service and line was slow and long respectively . Answer the phone when called. Fix the website - couldn't sign in or open account. Be clear: checking in before picking up truck does not make wait shorter, that is a lie. When returning rental after hours- make sure to tell customers to download app and not try to return truck through website. It's a shame that uhaul is treating it's customers so bad, just like At&t and spectrum.
I lost thousands of dollars worth of items I stored in the Uhaul storage unit due to the neighboring unit illegally storing gasoline. It leaked all over my storage items and I am extremely disappointed and sad considering I am a college student who will have a hard time replacing most of it. Not to mention, I am in dental school and had to store some books and notes that were destroyed. The manager did not respond in a timely manner at all and I had to even send him another email since he never responded to my first one. I understand that he may have been busy, but after I sent my second email to him he responded that he was aware of the incident.. so why not reach out to me or respond if he was aware? I am hoping to get a full reimbursement back. When I went to move my stuff out at night (bc it’s supposed to be 24/7 access) I was saddened to see it wasn’t opened bc the elevator wasn’t working. I would’ve appreciated an email from the storage facility letting everyone know that so I didn’t have to drive all that way just to have it closed. When we went the following day and had to deal with the gasoline all over my stored items, it was unbearably hot and proved that this facility unit is in fact not climate controlled. Overall, terrible experience and I will not be recommending any of my college friends or family to store with Uhaul.

I had my storage for 5+ years. It was always clean and I appreciated that. The staff was always friendly and provided great customer service. The only thing I would change is to have air conditioner in the facility. But because it’s an old building, the cost to install one would be astronomical. Anyway, thank you. My stuff was safe throughout the years.

This "Excellent" rating also applies to the U-Haul Storage Facility located at 780 East 138th Street, Bronx, NY. They do need to smooth the 4th floor, especially down the aisle of my Unit #4305.

Line too slow early and later in the day. Need to plan for all 3 service isles to be open and staffed when store opens. Everyone very helpful and in good spirits though.

People were more helpful than other uhauls I have been to. The close at 7pm is tight, however. The manager Geroge was really accommodating and had good customer service.

Store manager George was very helpful and was training a new employee at the same . I even learned some things too. If I wasn't working at the time I will like to work for him. That's a good boss man.
I would highly recommend this Uhaul Storage facility. The staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to help with my storage needs. My belongings were extremely safe and well protected.

I was charged before feb. 30 and then when I called to receive a refund and empty my unit, I was hung up on. I paid an extra month for no reason at all. Broken glass on the 4th floor.
