They gave a a broken damaged auto tow that they said was safe and in working conditions It took me 10 mins to get to the location where I was going to load my car at when I discover that the auto tow was damaged after I asked the uhual employee over and over if her inspected it I call the location to inform them instead of telling me to come back and change it the told me to call road side assistance which told abt 3hrs to arrive once he did there was nothing he could do because it was damaged and I would have to wait till the next day which I could not do being that my move was delayed already I was forced to drive with a damaged auto tow force to make 19 extra stop to secure one of the make shift straps that the tow truck driver did not to mention the auto tow damaged the bottom of my car because the ramps were damaged as well I have footage of all of this and all of this is documented because I call U haul many many times and have all the voice mails and text message from the representative who helped me

The location manager was extremely nice and helpful. Although UHaul could not honor my reservation bc someone else, he went the extra mile to search for another vehicle from a different location. I appreciated the help in that busy weekend. Will def go back and recommend it.

The day when I rent the van 10,I can't take my stuff from my storage unit because the elevator was out of services so I lost that day,but the sad thing is they not help us, and for rent the van we take 1 hr in front. In my unit someone break my lock and stole my property,other day I return the van and some employee of U Haul take the van and go to queens and skip the tool and I find out because they send me the plenary fee and the picture. That why I going to move to another storage company.

I had a terrible experience. I Made a reservation for a 15ft truck for 7am. Was sent to 1780 for pick up location which didn't open til 9am. After waiting 2 hours I was told they did not have a truck for me. I was told to call customer service. They then sent me to the bruckner blvd location with an updated reservation. I get there and they have no truck after the rep said they did. The associate at that location called to find me a truck and for the 3rd time I was sent to the last location on 138th street where finally I got a truck 3hrs later. I lost nearly 50 dollars in cabs. Worst thing is i won't get reimbursed for their mess ups.

Upon returning the uhaul the truck was side swiped like 2 minutes away from the dropoff and suffered minimal damage, when I informed the uhaul attendant about the matter and how I should proceed, he was very rude and told me that If I paid insurance on the truck I would be ok, it was exactly 7pm closing time for them,,, I asked if I needed to do anything on my end about the damage,, once again he's being rude, saying "listen Bro it's closing time, I'm not even going to check your truck into the system right now, I'll take care of everything tomorrow. I wasn't able to sleep thinking about the situation, eventually at 4am the thought came to mind for me to read every fine detail in my contact papers and find the section where it says that after any accident contact "police" for a report, then call GoUhaul, which I did at about 4:30 am this morning, now I have go through the process of getting a police report somewhere in the Bronx new York, here from my home in philly,, when the proper procedure was for the uhaul employee at the drop off site to know the fine print in the contract/accident claim and informed me to call the police while in New York to get the police report, then contact GoUhaul, I would have gladly done so, I for one was in no rush at that point. Hopefully all will truly be resolved like your uhaul employee assured me it would be, just so he could get rid of me and go home.

Gentleman hooked-up trailer, than longer tenured employee had to re-do the chains, which still dragged on the road when the trailer was loaded. Electrical connection unplugged twice between NYC and Cleveland. First time we drove through a very congested area (NYC to NJ) in a torrential downpour and hail storm, apparently without trailer lights, directional signals, etc. Stopped for dinner, replaced connection, taped connection, and arrived in Cleveland with the electrical connection un-done, again. Apparently, we had driven through two dense areas of fog in PA (at 20 MPH on e-way) without trailer light. After the connection dragged on the ground, it was useless, and I had to buy new electrical wires at Walmart. I believe the issue may have been the chains knocking the connection out of the plug-in. My family was in serious peril on three different occasions during our rental. When I swept out the trailer prior to return, there was a significant amount of dirt, which our load shouldn't have caused (moving boxes), leaving me to believe the trailer was not clean upon pick-up.

When i first walked in to the attendance office the guy that gave me the service was lazy, I as asking that I wanted to rent a small truck and all he told me was that I needed a reservation with a month anticipate. Very disappointed. I went out and seated on my car and in minutes a made a reservation online. just walked in again and very nice girl served me with a happy smile and in 5 minutes she gave what I wanted. Thank you, but I don't recommend a place where they don't consider their customers.

I have tried to call for two days to ask a question about my location on your general number and on my preferred location ( not the one I actually got the car) and I have held over twice, over 22 minutes and never got hold of anyone. It would be great if they pick up the phone. In general I was really impressed since it was my first time and I was not hopeful this would be a great experience!

Lock on truck didnt work. This may not be fault of workers there but on the website, but I ordered online to have pickup from bronx and dropoff in east village and was told on the MORNING OF that I had to bring the truck back to the bronx that night (??). Brutal experience with Uhaul.

People were more helpful than other uhauls I have been to. The close at 7pm is tight, however. The manager Geroge was really accommodating and had good customer service.

I was very happy with the assistance they provided when the hunts point uhaul company was without electricity so we were not able to pick up the truck we had on reserve. Uhaul at 3rd ave were nice enough to help us out with our situation.

The ads for the vans seem to indicate that the flat fee covers all the costs but the bill indicated a change of $1.99 per mile. Seemd a little misleading.

The website allowed me to choose a location, and then AFTER the order was placed changed the location. This cost me as we had to cab it to and from the other location. (Bait and switch is ILLEGAL btw) The truck's included lock didn't work (bent, so it didn't fit) The truck filled the passenger's side with HOT heat. No air conditioning. One a few occasions, when slowing down the truck dropped into 1st gear too soon and it lurched so much we were thrown into our seat belts. The truck's MPG was extremely low. It took over 12 gallons for just over 30 miles!!!! Driver side seat belt latch barely worked. The staff were all fine and good. I expect to hear back from management as we are considering talking to our lawyer about this. Sincerely, James Rose

Truck was new and drove well. Check in and out was fast and efficient. Only criticism is that the suggested amount when I refilled the tank before returning is off, so I overfilled in relation to how much I used.

When I arrived 2 agents said that they were completely booked and I almost walked out of the store. I then started looking for vans on the website and was able to book a 9' van from that same location. I showed the lady my reservation confirmation from the website and she still mentioned that perhaps I will have to go to another location to pick the vehicle. The manager came in and confirmed that there was vans available. He provided a very good service and was able to expedite the process so I could get going. Agents communicated that there was no vehicle when there still some available. Perhaps if they would've asked the type of vehicle that I needed they could've confirm some vehicles were still available

Why do I bother reserving a truck and a storage in advance, if NEITHER of these were available. The pickup location for my truck was moved (pretty far away) two days before, and when I got to the storage facility I was told there was no room. Again: why do I even have to reserve if nothing is going to work as planned?

Going through a tuff time losing my apartment your staff was so kind and help me along the way. Single dad with a 5 year old was moving by mtmy self. Your staff who attended to me show so much empathy towards me. I wish they new apartment for me that would of put the icing on the cake

Was originally suppose to drop off at 411 E199th street. The experience was horrible. They wouldn’t take the truck even though my registration was correct and has me dropping off there. Then verbally berated me for over 20 minutes while I called Uhaul to change my location. The Uhaul scheduling rep was rude, had no empathy and hung up on me. I’ll neber use Uhaul again.

Although, this was a complete screw up on the reservation, to the point, it almost ruined my entire project and I wanted to kill someone, the staff at the Port Morris location was excellent. Interesting that Uhaul doesn't ask about the actual reservation which was a disaster, they probably already know....

It appears that the staff at this particular location has time management misunderstood. Many staff behind counter doing counterproductive activities. Example, on personal cellphones conducting personal conversations while many uhaul customers waiting to be serviced. Less PHONE , more "PRODUCTIVITY " equals "HAPPY CUSTOMERS." This location also has staff there that seem very unhappy with the work they are suppose to do. The moral is low, attitudes are present with the majority of staff, very unpleasant experience at this location. New manager or maybe some siminars on proper business etiquette would definitely serve this location some justice. Thank you.

2 things. 1- I called the location and asked that a copy of the contract be in my vehicle so I could show the insurance coverage - it was not. 2- I used the Mobile App to rent the truck. I got o the location at 8:05AM. I was finished sending my info at 8:14. I then waited 15 minutes for a response from the system and another 5 minutes till I could get cleared. YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE WORKING ON SUNDAY MORNING. THIS WAS RIDICULOUS!!!!

The app is very bad. I used it to schedule a pick up a truck and a regular dolly and it wasn’t ready. Had to wait for the truck and there was no dolly. I had to use an “utility dolly” that ended up difficulting the entire moving proces. And I was an hour late and for the app situation and ended getting heavy traffic. Good people but very bad app.

We rented a UHaul for 10AM and waited until 11:45AM for a truck, because the previous renter was late returning it. You'd think they would keep an extra truck on location in case something like this happens (and I expect people are late pretty often). Not to mention that the employee at this location confirmed my rental over the phone the previous day by telling me that the truck would be ready by 9AM, so we were there waiting for a truck for almost 3 hours.

I was charged before feb. 30 and then when I called to receive a refund and empty my unit, I was hung up on. I paid an extra month for no reason at all. Broken glass on the 4th floor.
