FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Uhaul advertises that you can rent a truck for $19.95 a day. I was charged $36.44 when I used the truck for barely an hour. I only needed it to move a couch from one house to another that was less than a mile. The Uhaul store is only a couple miles away, there is absolutely no reason at all to be charged more than what is advertised other than the taxes.Anthony M.

Better explain that a mileage limit will be exposed prior to leaving the facility. I was charged $11.88 for exceeding the mileage (11 miles) including taxes that was unbeknowned to me at the time of rental. My last rental didn't have a mileage limit. If everyone in the world was as decent, compassionate and friendly as Everett, the world would be a much better place. Without going into a lengthy report on my personal situation, I just want to acknowledge how amazingly helpful Everett was to assist my wife and me in retrieving our property in a difficult family situation. Everett went above and beyond any expectations and not only did he rent a truck to us, he helped us load it from the U-Haul storage containers where our items were. The other two employees that we had brief contact with were also friendly and helpful. Everett made our not so enjoyable day, much better. We will be forever grateful to Everett and to U-Haul. Trailer was fine but had some minor damage and a pushed-in red marker lamp. Person that helped me said something about "normally we don't hook up trailers after 6:30." The "No Smoking" truck reeked of smoke. The interior was not clean. Yes, it was free of trash, but free of trash doesn't equate to clean when the console area has drink and other residue in it. Consistently the best U-Haul experience I've ever had. I've had a storage unit at the Friendly location for over a year and have reserved a U-Haul truck on several occasions. They always make a way to ensure that I have the truck I need with the products and services I've requested. The manager Everett was customer centric and went the extra mile to ensure that I had the service I requested at the best price point. It's like he provided the service he would want as if the shoe were on the other foot and he was the customer. The store associates are kind, respectful and always helpful whether providing a service or listening to customers' needs. Any concern I've had was treated with care and their prompt attention. The Friendly location is the only Uhaul location that I will do business with, because they are truly exceptional and provide services above all others that I've visited. The service was good. When I advised the young lady that helped to get into my unit that I was taking all my items she didn't tell me to return the keys or anything. She told me to make sure I checkout on the keypad. Now I have to find the keys and return them, which is frustrating…Also I misled and overcharged. I had to rent 3 or 4 units for a 4 bedroom house. This was a very negative experience. When I first got the unit, uhaul employees told me I was getting a large unit big enough to fit a whole apartment, and they gave me one of the smallest units. I had to get a second small unit because no large units were available. Getting two units made this way more expensive for me and they were so small my stuff really didn't even fit and some of my stuff got broken. I wouldn't have even come to uhaul if they had just been honest with me that the big units weren't available. The alarm was broken the entire time I had units there and would ring the entire time I was in my units. Every time I went there, I asked employees in the office about the alarm on multiple occasions and I even called corporate about it and everyone kept telling me it wouldn't ring any more and then it would ring again the next time I went to my units. It's very painful to the ears. Even on the last day I was there, one of the uhaul employees tried telling me I must be entering my code in wrong if it is ringing and tried to act like it was something I'm doing wrong. I've been there other times where employees admitted to me the system is broken and said it does that all the time so he was wrong to try to blame me for that. I verified my code with him and it didn't stop the ringing after that. I even asked him to come help me with my code or the alarm and he just told me he fixed it and it should not ring anymore and he he wouldn't look at it with me. As soon as I went back to the unit after he told me that, it was still ringing and no employee came to look at it for me. The code box never worked the entire time I had my units, and I've been there a few times where uhaul employees actually tell customers to leave the door cracked open so customers can get in. When I went at night the door would be cracked open and it wasn't safe because anyone could follow me in. Then when we got our truck on the last day it had a flat tire. They had a parking lot full of trucks and wouldn't let us switch the truck out because they said those were reserved. We had a reservation also though so that didn't make sense at all and the other people they were referring to weren't there. We had to wait for roadside repair to come and we were paying movers by the hour so moving became even more expensive for us because of Uhaul's y professionalism. The place has terrible customer service. I saw they took records of my units off my portal but I still got charged for most of the time I was there. To me I shouldn't have been charged because this was a terrible experience. I typically don't complain or try to get my money back but this was incredibly bad customer service.Kristin B. | Overall Experience

Non existent customer service. Poor communication and some biased employees. An employee named Chelsea was rude and never followed through with our reservation and nothing was done about it. A 26 ft truck out of state rental and the storage unit was upstairs with no elevator and no one mentioned that.
