I will never recommend this location to anyone. The female employee I encountered was incredibly rude and dishonestkatherine P.
Approximately a week prior, I called to change the truck size from a 20ft to a 26ft. I was told it was taken care off. I even received an email confirmation complete with an illustration of a 26 ft truck. I was on an extremely tight schedule and traveled several hundred miles to pick up the truck, meet movers in 2 different cities etc. I arrive in town and go straight to The UHAUL facility. Even though I opted for a quick check in, I sit with an employee who while checking me in, says "we don't have any 26ft trucks". I reply so that means I leave thousands of dollars in personal belongings at the curb? What's the point of a reservation then? No response, while he proceeds to check me in, I have to initiate solutions. I ask are there other facilities close by that have 26ft trucks? He says there is one an hour a way, (which I passed coming into town). I said, had someone at UHAUL told me, I could have easily stopped there as I passed it and had rented there recently. Again, no answer. He then says they are closed but have 24 hour, after hour check in. I did not feel comfortable taking this chance as I had movers scheduled to meet me shortly after. Also. I did not feel confident this solution would work. It was a good thing I didn't as when I passed them hours later, there were no 26ft trucks. Needless to say, I left thousands of dollars in personal possessions behind. I have to take more time off work next weekend, I had to pay for additional time storing my belongings in the city I was leaving, pay for another truck and drive approximately 750 miles round trip to fix UHAULs simple mistake i.e. simple communication. I had a confirmed reservation. Given the fact that this scenario could have easily been avoided with simple prior communication and the fact that UHAUL's mistake is going to cost me valuable time and money, I am strongly considering legal action. Furthermore. U have spent a considerable amount of money with UHAUL over the years. Not the best business practice in this highly competitive capitalist society we live in and an era of social media to illustrate poor business practicesMichael M.

We had to wait over an hour to pick up our reserved 26' truck and then we were told that we would have to take a 20' truck instead because they did not have the 26' truck available. We paid the same price for the 20' truck but had to pay for extra miles because we had to take 2 trips with the 20' truck rather than one trip with a 26' truck.Justin R.

First, I had a reservation and when I arrived my reserved unit was unavailable. They did have one available in climate controlled but wanted me to pay additional $ over my quoted price. The manager then offered me 2 smaller units to make up for one I reserved but when we got there one of the 2 smaller units was full. We went back and the manager found another unit for us. A couple days later I went back to get some items and U-haul put a padlock on the other unit. I had to get with the office to sort out the mess as I was getting 2 smaller units for the bigger unit I reserved. I guess no one followed up on the proper paperwork. Concerned how the billing is going to work out as I had a monthly quoted price for 1 bigger unit and they put.me in 2 smaller units. Manager assured me it will be correct. To be honest, everything has been a hassle from the trailer to the storage unit with U-haul. The manager did give me a 2nd lock for the other unit as I was planning on only having to buy 1 lock since I was only going to have 1 unit. The employees did seem to care about making things right just not the best follow through. I would recommend for convenience and fair pricing.Miles C. | First Impressions

Have your smart phone check in app work. Make it easier to rent moving blankets using your app. I could not find where to do this. Your truck rattled, and shook very bad, bounced all over when hitting uneven pavement. Had loose steering, felt like trying to maneuver a boat. At 63 mph there was a shaking of the truck like unbalanced tire.. A tail light was out on my trailer. Your "gentle ride van" was not.Randall R.

First I would allow a customer to book a truck when the location originally booked online does not generally ever have trucks only trailers! Second, I would make more accommodations for renter when these situations occur not require the renter to have to drive almost 30 miles out of their way and require them to have to wait an additional day to pick up rental. The company should never allow you to rent something at a location that does not ever have items available! This is a company wide issue that should have been resolved in the beginning! It's sad when you pull up at a location and the individual tells you that corporate does not have a clue! We drove 6 hours expecting to pick up a truck load and leave! Not drive 6 hours and have to make accommodations for a place to stay especially on a holiday weekend like Labor Day! I am anything but happy with the issue! Then the location I actually was able to get truck from gave us wrong keys, wrong contract, was rude and not very pleasant to deal with! The staff certainly acted as if they had better things to do! With a company this large you would think customer service should be top priority! I am very disappointed! Staff needs to remember that the customer is in all actuality paying their wages!SHANE T.

Improve knowledge. I asked about the ability to take the tow dolly back to a different location than my U-Haul and she said any location would be fine, however, once I went to drop it off I was told they would have to charge me a large fine to drop it off at a different location. I had to pull and empty tow dolly from Florida to New York, resulting in numerous headaches, higher gas usage, and wear and tear on your equipment. I also tried to call customer service and was transferred to 6 different people over the course of 45 minutes before I finally gave up. Really, a pretty bad experience with you guys.Donovan F.

I've rented from this store before and they even installed the hitch on my Jeep. Always neat, clean and well maintained. Even the bathroom was immaculate! I was greeted immediately upon entrance even though the agent was already with a client. I liked being acknowledged in the brief and professional manner. This facility calls for 15 staff according to the two I met. According to the overworked and tired 2 staff there are only 3 currently employed. I arrived a little after 4 pm. I ended up having to drive 140 miles round trip to return a common sized trailer that I'm sure any location could use. The facility was clean, but the staff were VERY RUDE!! I was locked out of my unit, NOT DUE TO PAYMENT, but an oversight to the lock I bought. I NEVER received a call about the issue either. Then I was DOUBLE CHARGED this last month and again, NOT BECAUSE I OWED, I have ALL my bank statements, I can show that I was ON TIME, EVERY MONTH. I had never had a storage unit before and was so surprised at how clean and well kept these U-Haul Storage units were. They have a very good restroom which is large and clean with the paper toilet seat covers. I had one of the inside units and I felt my belongings were safe and I did not worry or feel like I needed to go by and check on it. I went to get a Uhaul in order to empty my storage unit. The doors to the climate controlled units were locked and the attendant had a difficult time getting them unlocked (no fault of him). We are given a time limit to return the Uhaul but waited almost an hour to get in. You need more help. When a customer comes in to check out, the employees shouldn't ask them to write their information down to be taken care of later. I was asked for my information, and was told it would be taken care of by closing that day. It was not. I had to make another trip to make sure it was, because no one would answer the phone or their email. It was an avoidable inconvenience to me, the customer. Never take advantage of someone's time. Surprisingly this is the first above average experience I've ever had with U-Haul, the other few times I used you, I had horrible customer service & vowed to never come back, unfortunately, I was in a jam & had no choice but to rent from U-Haul & didn't have any problems until 2 hours after we turned the truck in when my credit card was charged for the additional mileage on the truck, which isn't an issue, except for the fact that it should have been done at the time of the return or a quick phone call to let me know that there were additional fees being charged. Me and my mother spent all weekend moving from Memphis. We took advantage of your self storage because it had after hours. My facility closed at 7 and we were there at 7:15. The code pad to enter the unit was "out of service" and it said to call a manager. When we called the number provided, it went to the call center. The woman in the call center called the number for the "manager" and it went straight to voicemail. This facility is very understaffed. My first time there was returning a 26' truck and vehicle trailer. I pulled into the wrong driveway, but there was no signage directing me to a different entrance. After I stopped because I couldn't go any further, I was scolded by the guy on the golf cart for going the wrong way and told "next time come in the other way" As if there was going to be a next time and I intentionally came in the wrong way after driving 850 miles. Call and in-person waiting times are very long. Climate control storage doors were often propped open, of course reducing the effectiveness of the climate control. After the free month, I moved my stuff out, because it cost me too much in time and related issues. BTW the A/C didn't work in the 26' I rented. The only problems that I had was gaining access to my unit because there were a few problems with the outer sliding door was sticking. Otherwise the staff was very helpful with any questions or concerns that I may have had. It was virtually impossible to get to your unit because of all of the unused/unrented trucks and trailers lining the roads and blocking your way to get to the units. No clear pathways. The last month I used the shed, I was notified by one of the staff members that I didn't need to use my card because the unit I had "wasn't secure anyway".
