The truck and trailer worked as expected. The truck's A/C worked really great and kept me cool during such a long drive. I didn't have any problems. The tire pressure monitor let me know one of the tires was under inflation. So filled it up and completed my trip.JULIO P.

It seems that this location is understaffed. Workers were helping customers all over the place. My crate was scheduled for me to arrive at 11:00. I arrived at Noon and still had to wait for an hour to access it. Also It was not clear that I needed to make an appointment 24 hours ahead of my arrival. Wasted a trip the day before. The y were not helpful. We had to switch out the truck twice due to leaking in the back of the truck and ultimately we had to settle for a truck that rained on us in the cab half the way to Virginia. Once we got to the drop off point in Roanoke the staff there was not without required knowledge as well. We had to wait forever for someone to detach the trailer which no one ever inspected before we left. We had to purchase ratchet straps to secure the truck to your trailer because the ones on it were extremely damaged. Not happy spent a lot of money and felt like UHaul let us down. If you go back and look we have used ur vehicles through all 15 of our moves in the past. Probably going to look at Penske next time. Do better U Haul.CHARLES C.

This has been by far the most miserable experience I have ever had moving. I have moved 7 times in the last 10 years , this is the first time I have used the U Boxes and I can assure you it will be the last. Poor lack of communication, you can't get ahold of anyone to help with issues. They just pass you around by phone to sit on hold for hours on end. I still have a missing U Box. I requested drop off of my boxes 2 weeks in advance and never got notified that they didn't arrive to the location. Then got rescheduled to a future date. I still can't get a number to the corporate office to explain what I have gone through. Extremely frustrated at this point. I don't know if I will ever get the rest of my stuff. If I had true timelines to stick to , your company would have rendered me and my family without furniture multiple times with the failure to pick up and properly deliver the two boxes I had . For starters you can fire the one associate Tyler Higgins. He is a terrible associate. He was of no help to me at all. Once the paperwork was finished he handed me the paper, told me where to find my truck and moved on. I live in Palm Bay. I am NOT familiar AT ALL with the new ways of how U Haul works and he did not walk with me to show me how it works to find where your truck is....My WIFE had to show me how to find the correct truck. THEN once we returned the truck he basically pointed me to the machine to clock out and left.....I could not log in cause it would not take my e mail and I even TOLD HIM and he just stood there....He is an incompeteny bafoon and needs to find another job. This work is not for him. It INVOLVES TALKING TO PEOPLE, something he does not know how to do. This is the worse experience with U HAUL I have ever had and I used to have a storage unit with you guys. I will NOT recommend ANY of my friends go to this U HAUL to rent a truck. I was quoted $93 for the truck and when I returned it and everything, my final bill was $90!!! Oh wow a measly $3 saving....I went way below the mileage I told Tyler I would and yet I got charged $90? For real? You guys need to step up your work and your workers...The girl that works there, I can't remember her name, but SHE is way better an associate then Tyler. And if Tyler is reading this good, he needs to read what people think about him. You are an awful associate for U HAUL Tyler. You need to quit. Find another job. Push carts for Publix or Winn Dixie. Walk dogs.....I don't care but I pray if I ever decide to go back to this establishment, you are not working there cause if I see you, I will walk right back out and go to another U HAUL location. You are a terrible associate and do not display customer pleasantry at all. You are dull and boring and rude......How on earth would I know where to find the truck? You explained terribly and then just walked away! And helped someone else!!!!!!!! Do you do that with all your customers? Do you hate your job? Are you trying to get fired cause if you want to tell me your boss's name and I will make sure to tell him to have you fired........You....I could just go on and on about how terrible a worker you are.........If you can't be let go maybe you can learn and work on helping customers........We go to U HAUL to move stuff......We need help finding the truck, logging in and loggin out and stuff like that........You gotta improve on that buddy......I was very upset and you did not give a rats ass........Well I bet you do now......When your boss reads this review be better if he is smart, have a word with you or two, being YOU"RE FIRED. We know this is not the case and we were given the impression the employees simply didn't want to help. The facility is clean, staff is friendly, but we had issues from the beginning. We reserved climate controlled storage rooms, when we arrived there were none to be had. So we ended up having to get regular storage lockers. After about 7 months of storage it was time to move into our home. We found that there was a small leak in one of our units that allowed small amounts of water in. But it was enough to rust our refrigerator, mold our newer couches, mold our large(expensive) Turkish rugs, and also cause damage to our cherrywood dresser(also not cheap), and also molded our dining room chairs (total of 6 that will need reupholstered or replaced). We haven't gotten into the rest of the boxes yet, but expect to find more damage. My suggestion would be get insurance and photos prior to moving your stuff in and after…Jason H. | Overall Experience

The only reason I gave it an average rating is the way they handled the incident when they broke my cell phone. I had gotten in the van and had left the door open. I was getting myself settled in before I was going to close the door. It was very busy and I was the first in line so I'm guessing I was holding things up. A worker came by and closed my door., not giving me time to make sure I was organized. It wasn't excessively hard but hard enough that my cell phone was smashed in between the door and the dashboard. Not only did it crack the glass on the phone but it actually bent in metal casing of the cell phone. As a result it's unable to be fixed. When the manager was notified he didn't even come out to speak with mine but told a worker there was nothing he could do about it.DEBORAH R.

When I picked the u haul up there was a torrential downpour. They hooked it up for me and he was at the back of the trailer for a while. Figured he was checking the lights. When I got home at wasn't raining so I began to inspect the trailer (walk around while recording video) the back door was wide open and completely soaked inside. I tried to lower the door put it wouldn't move. I worked in it for about 30 minutes before I gabe up and called for roadside assistance. I picked the trailer up 30 minutes before the store closed so I couldn't rerun it. Its took till after midnight for him to fix it. I had two people hired to help me load that I had to send home. Had to repay them they next day to return to help again. I was scheduled to leave the first night at 10pm so I would miss all the daytime traffic. I wasn't able to leave until noon the next day. Had to drive straight through in order to find a storage unit to put the stuff in. I lost an entire day, plus the $200 I had to play the help (twice). They never should have released the trailer to me with a non-working doorTERRY E.

It was pouring rain (not their fault, obviously). I got there and the unit (2036) was blocked by a giant truck. When I asked them to move it they said "we have nowhere else to put it". When I insisted they agreed to move it but couldn't find the keys. I had to pay an hourly rate to movers to sit in the parking lot, in the rain while they looked for the keys for 1/2 hour. U-haul screwed me up and down all day. (Location 1): My original reservation to store my goods was for an 8x16 at a facility in the Eau Gallie area. That original facility did not even have that size unit on site and all of their largest units were full. They sent me 20 minutes south to Palm Bay (Location 2) where I received a 10x10 unit - a smaller unit than I originally reserved. After packing it as tight as possible and not being able to fit everything, I drove back up north to a family member's home to store the rest of my items. As originally planned, I then went to the conveniently located U-Haul facility around the corner (Location 3) where the drop off my 26' truck was originally scheduled only to learn that the Palm Bay facility (now 25 min back in the other direction) had changed my truck's drop off location without telling. They claimed the truck for their location. (Location 3) Service tech told me they couldn't fit my truck to begin with in their parking lot and to go to the Sarno/Apollo drop off location. (Location 4) I then spent 25 minutes on the phone with customer service to have my drop off location changed without incurring a hefty penalty for "Wrong Drop-Off Location". They were helpful and changed my drop off to Location 4. Upon return of my truck I was chagred $40 for gas because i was a fraction of a needle's width lower than my required fill up level BECAUSE UHAUL HAD ME DRIVING ALL AROUND BREVARD COUNTY. I was just going to forget about it and move on but I've been bombarded with emails every other day asking for a review. Here it is. You burned my entire day and cost me who knows how much money. 0/10 U-Haul has not been cooperative in resolving any disputes prior to me leaving this feedback. I will be loading up another 26' truck and taking it to Jacksonville in 3 weeks. Generous monetary compensation is absolutely deserved after what they put me through but I'm not getting my hopes up.Matthew S. | First Impressions

Instead of just marking the amount of fuel (in the office) for the truck being picked up, the staff should check the actual gauge along with the client and then mark the form. Trusting staff that they knew the amount of fuel in the truck, as the client, I forgot to check it against what was marked on the form before leaving. The unit had no lock and I was advised of wrong times to access the drive up bay, so while already having a stressful day and putting everything myself & 2 small kids own I'm storage myself, I had a tall man with a mustache rush me out. Anytime I'm there although other people's children are being loud leaving food behind , he finds something to say to my 11 year old daughter. He was professional, and also seamed sincerely interested in solving my moving needs....very different from the 4 other storage places I visited that day.
