Slow, unprepared, unprofessional staff. No sense of urgency, just drag their feet doing whatever they want. Customers are left waiting at the counter, then instead of asking to help the next customer they walk in and pick people at random. I made my reservation a month in advance. The day of pickup Uhaul did not have the equipment on hand I reserved. That issue cost me time and money. I'm very disappointed with my Uhaul experience.David M.

Return location was backed up, lots of returns. The guy working was on the job for 3 days, did a good job, but had to go inside to fix a fuel charge. Staff was very helpful and took care of everything. I bought the tow safe insurance and it came in handy for sure! 555 miles into the trip a tire blow out on the trailer, called 1-800# and less than 30mins repairman was there and had it fixed!!!! There were roaches in the dolly and furniture pads. When we set them in the back of the moving truck roaches came running out all over the place. I was so disgusted I didn't want to even take the truck but we had already checked in thru the app on phone and my credit card was attached. Will not use this location again.Allison J.

First, I'd like to say Thank you to Miss Katrina, for all her professional help and advice given in regards to road tips for SAFETY. We drove 16 hours straight towing a car, and her SAFETY tips proved to be valuable -- spot on -- in our overall trip. The only thing that I would suggest is to include cruise control, but that might be dangerous to the overall travel experience if a driver falls asleep and causes an accident to himself or other drivers. The final comment was that the inside cabs aren't very sound proof to outside noise -- but that's what tissue is for, I guess.chelsea G.

The reason for the 4 stars is my rental was not checked in when I returned the trailer. I made two phone calls and sent three emails trying to resolve this issue. I finally went into the drop off location yesterday where Irmalys Fernandez made a great effort to resolve my issue. The kid that helped me claims that reservations don't mean anything since the storage units are first come first serve. Instead of spending $95 for a unit, I was left no other choice than to get a unit for double the price. I Rented a trailer for my son to bring his things home from College and because of a poor check done by your technician (girl that also ran your front counter), before he pulled away, he almost got on the interstate (before dawn), with non working trailer lights! This was his first time picking up a trailer on his own. Thank goodness another motorist saw him & alerted him to the issue! He was left on the side of the road trying to figure out how to fix it enough to bring it back to your location! We called ahead & when he arrived, the same person treated him with very little care or concern leaving him outside of the facility with no instructions, causing him to have to go back inside for more clarification! We have NEVER been treated this way by UHaul & we're VERY disappointed & dissatisfied! This could have been a VERY dangerous situation & the lack of responsibility & care that was taken was needless to say concerning & senseless!ROGER H.

U-Haul Moving & Storage en Palm Bay 4703 Babcock St NE Palm Bay, FL 32905 was the worst. When I arrived at this location two team members jump in a truck and left. No one was working out side at the time. I process into the building and I asked where do I return the truck. The young man with dreadlocks told me outside but before I went outside I observed a young lady came in after me wanted to do the something I am trying to do, drop off the truck. I reserved a truck and when I arrived to pick it up, no reservation was found even though I had a confirmation number. Also, the balance due on pickup was 34.99 plus tax and no mention of a 100 cash hold if you pay cash, which I was, so I was delayed with my guys I payed to move me. Poor customer service, tech had difficulty loading military discount. As an Active Army Serviceman I expected far better service rather than some snotty kids that have no sense of appreciation of military. My fee for the car dolly was $53 before he called in military discount and my price was the same after discount appied and he argued that discount was applied. I asked how is that when the $53 is the same as before and after. Is this how U-Haul Corporate defines Military Benefits? I have served 18 years in Army, been deployed to Germany 4 times, S. I'm a little confused on the day I rented at 9:30am there was more than enough workers to facilitate the customers needs. 24 hrs later I'm literally searching for someone to check the return. I had reserved a furniture dolly online AND paid for it before the day of the rental. The location had plenty of time to reserve the truck I had paid for as well as the dolly. I get to the rental location and they tell me that they've rented out all the dollies for the day. How is it possible that I reserve an item and its not put on hold for me? They had enough of a mind to put the truck on hold for me, how is it any different from the dolly? That dolly was a necessity for my move and i relied on Uhaul to provide me with what I ordered. When I approached the individuals at the location about they issue, they were obvious that they did not care. I confronted them about their poor customer service and inability to uphold reservations and they rudely brushed us off without caring about the problem. The lack of a furniture caused me a lot of issues and headaches for my entire moving process.Scott B.
I rented the truck for one day, included about 200 miles-a round trip from Palm Bay to West Palm Bay, returned it full and in less than 24 hours. I was overcharged by about 800 miles. Please fix it immediately and refund me my money.HENSWORTH W.

My sister-in-law rented a truck from the same location a few months ago and warned me not to use this particular place because they messed up her reservation and even though she had a reservation they did not have her truck when she arrived. I figured it couldn't happen again, right? So I ordered a 10 foot truck a week before online. About three days before I got a text saying that my 15 foot truck (that I had never changed it to) had been upgraded to a 20 foot truck because of lack of availability. I called and confirmed like they asked me to and was told there would be a 20 foot truck waiting for me at 9 AM Saturday morning. When we arrived, there was no 20 foot truck and they told us our reservation was now at 9:30 for a 26 foot truck that had not arrived yet. Since we were moving my mother out of her home I really couldn't just walk away, so instead we ended up getting a flat bed truck and using that instead. I'm not quite sure how the reservation system can be so difficult to maintain. If you have a reservation, and the reservation is confirmed, the truck should be there. It's not that complicated. You need to get that particular facility in order. I will not be going back.Steven H.

I did the mobile rental and was given the wrong combination to open the trailer to retrieve the keys. Subsequently I had to wait in line to have the customer support tell me to try it again. Finally, after 30 minutes I went back to the counter and your customer support person tried the lock and then realized I was given the "wrong" code on-line for lock 47 the code provided was "BOLT" this was wrong "SYOS" was he correct combination. I lost over an hour due to this mishap. The seat belt did not latch the entire time I drove the truck which is unsafe. I tried calling customer support but never reached an individual. The pullout ramp on the 26' truck wouldn't retract, the entire frame was loose and off track. I lost another few hours due to this. The truck was also at a quarter tank of gas which didn't get me very far before I had to refill. I have rented numerous times in the past with UHAUL but will check other rental companies after this disappointing experience. John BretzJohn B.

Both the video provided to assist in moving in, and the contract emailed to me specified that a lock would be provided. Video stated to break the seal, open the door and the lock would be inside the unit. There was no lock, and I was told at the store that I would have to purchase their lock. I also had a hard time locating the unit. The layout is confusing, and it is quite a way from the entrance. It is unclear how and when to enter the access codes, especially on a Sunday when it was considered after hours. I finally figured it out. I reserved a 10x15 online 1 week prior to going in. Upon arrival I was told the unit I reserved was already sold and they did not have another one. I had to settle for a 10x10. After completing paper work I went to my new unit only to find it already had a lock on it and a notice saying it had been evicted due to non payment. I then went back and told the associate, who then had me walk back to the unit to confirm what I had told her. Upon arriving back at the check out area I was told they didn't have another unit and they could offer me a 10x8. I reluctantly accepted it because I needed a unit and wanted one at this location since it was convient for me. After going to the unit I realized I would not be able to fit all of my furniture in such a small unit. I notice another unit with a green tag that looked to be the size of a 10x10. So upon arriving back at the check out for a 3rd time I asked for a refund and acquired about the other unit I had seen. The women looked it up and found out that even though the last person had cleared all of thier things out uhal never actually took them off of the unit. That's why it wasn't showing as available. She called the previous customer to confirm they had closed out account and after talking to th gentleman told me they could offer me that unit. I had to settle for a smaller unit but was happy that I had one. After arriving home and a couple hours later I received a call from uhal. I was told that when they kept switching the units from a 10x10 to a 10x8 then again to a 10x10 they refunded me back to much money and needed me to return to the location to give them back the 31 dollars they had given me. I understand mistakes happen but after all I had been through to then ask me to drive back to the location was unprofessional. It was there mess up and they should have owned up to it and taken the loss. Especially after making me wait in line 4 times and having to basically tell them about a storage unit that was available. If it wasn't for the fact that the facility is well lit clean and convientet and the fact that I am also getting a truck from this location, I would have had no issue getting my money back and going to another storage company. Wasted a long time in line, their computer system didn't work, my card doesn't work. No carts, awful parking for unloading. Looks like the entire roof leaks , including over my unit, fans, electric cords running everywhere trying to dry damaged items. I used Uhaul because the one in Totowa, NJ is great. For the most part the location was very clean but the first unit that I was given was not and it was full of dead roaches. The alarm would continuously go off whenever we entered the unit. When we requested help, we were told it was normal. We know this is not the case and we were given the impression the employees simply didn't want to help. Whenever we attempted to speak to an employee, the average wait time ranged from 45 mins to over an hour. The facility is clean, staff is friendly, but we had issues from the beginning. We reserved climate controlled storage rooms, when we arrived there were none to be had. So we ended up having to get regular storage lockers. After about 7 months of storage it was time to move into our home. We found that there was a small leak in one of our units that allowed small amounts of water in. U-haul screwed me up and down all day. (Location 1): My original reservation to store my goods was for an 8x16 at a facility in the Eau Gallie area. That original facility did not even have that size unit on site and all of their largest units were full. They sent me 20 minutes south to Palm Bay (Location 2) where I received a 10x10 unit - a smaller unit than I originally reserved. After packing it as tight as possible and not being able to fit everything, I drove back up north to a family member's home to store the rest of my items. As originally planned, I then went to the conveniently located U-Haul facility around the corner (Location 3) where the drop off my 26' truck was originally scheduled only to learn that the Palm Bay facility (now 25 min back in the other direction) had changed my truck's drop off location without telling. They claimed the truck for their location. (Location 3) Service tech told me they couldn't fit my truck to begin with in their parking lot and to go to the Sarno/Apollo drop off location. (Location 4) I then spent 25 minutes on the phone with customer service to have my drop off location changed without incurring a hefty penalty for "Wrong Drop-Off Location". They were helpful and changed my drop off to Location 4. Upon return of my truck I was chagred $40 for gas because i was a fraction of a needle's width lower than my required fill up level BECAUSE UHAUL HAD ME DRIVING ALL AROUND BREVARD COUNTY. I was just going to forget about it and move on but I've been bombarded with emails every other day asking for a review. Here it is. You burned my entire day and cost me who knows how much money. 0/10 U-Haul has not been cooperative in resolving any disputes prior to me leaving this feedback. I will be loading up another 26' truck and taking it to Jacksonville in 3 weeks.
