Truck i had made a thumping sound like it had a flat tire and transmission seem to slip a bit. However it was very clean.

Philip M.I reserved a storage unit days before arriving to this location. On the day of my arrival I was given a notice telling me my reservation was cancelled. Luckily there was one unit available but had there not been this would have been extremely inconvenient. I was told reservations were not accepted here AFTER being cancelled on, but why then did they allow me to place a reservation? This is a terrible way to conduct business.

Mark S.The truck I rented #DC5424K needs maintenance. A brake rotor or drum is way out of wack and caused noisy uncomfortable ride for 4 hrs. It will fail and leave someone stranded and possibly a fire hazard if it was to lock up. The front steering was pulling to the left as well.

James G.The engine light came on and the truck kept stalling and not changing gears was unable to take it on the highway which caused more mileage. In addition the location did not want to make it right just because I didn't call them during the issue however when you are paying movers by the hour you don't have time to call, I spent more money paying the movers due this issue.

Keith T.This is a complaint about the UHAUL after-hours closing process. 1. I tried to use the UHAUL website application to close out the rental. While trying to upload the required pictures the app 'froze'. This happened 3 times and I gave up. 2. I tried to call UHAUL - the local # goes to the national calling queue. The message stated that the wait would be 30 mins so rather than wait at the drop-off, I unhooked the trailer, stowed it properly. I then left the location and called UHAUL on my drive home. 2A. there is message also that says you can get immediate attention via 'Chat' I tried this but the wait was 30 mins for this as well. I never received any response on this. 3. After 30 mins in queue, someone picked up but told me they could not close out the rental since I was no longer at the drop-off. I explained everything and that person supposedly entered this info onto my still open agreement. She said to call local office during working hours 4. I called local office number the next morning at 10am. Was put into national queue again. Waited 30 minutes. I had same discussion as prior night with another person. THere was no record of my prior call. THis person also could not close the rental. She said that she could contact the local office via some internal message system and that I would get an email once the contract was closed. 5. Now its a day later - still no email. In conclusion, I will definitely consider whether or not I can drop off during work hours and not rent from UHAUL if I cant. The app should work or at least give some indication of a problem. The call queue wait time is way too long.

Although, the charges were refunded. It's something that should have not happened. Inaccurate gauge of gas, but minuscule.

THOMAS U.The rear driver's side indicator wasn't working and the tank was NOT full when I picked it up and the gentleman at the counter who was great by the way informed me of that. I filled up nearby before using the van for the day ($30) and filled up before drop off. I was told that even though they're supposed to be full upon pick up that I still would not be reimbursed for my $30 to fill a tank that IS SUPPOSED TO BE FULL UPON PICK UP. Very disappointed with this because I have never had a problem with this Uhaul location before

Diane D.I rent here often. The staff is a 10 on a scale of 1-10. This time I do have one complaint. I believed the miles to be .99 and I planned to drive 100 plus miles. I had no idea and was not told that it would be 1.19 per mile. It did say it in my contract but I read that after I left. I mentioned it to the staff but she said the rates went up. I was upset that I did not have that knowledge. It is not posted. I ended to paying $30+ dollars more and that was a hardship to me. I do have to say that I will rent again and from the same store because they are always so nice and efficient. This extra cost this rental was upsetting though.

Our only complaint was that it was difficult to read the fuel gauge so when it came time to refill the tank before returning the vehicle we ended up putting more gas in than we needed to. If the truck was totally full from the start we wouldn't have had to guess when refilling. This aspect should be improved.

THEOPHILUS A. | Overall ExperienceI was trying to move my things from the U-Haul in Connecticut to the U-Haul in North Carolina and I ended up needing one extra day to exit the U-Haul in Connecticut and they had no way to work with me on that I tried to get a prorated rate. they wanted the full month and nothing else when I asked if I could just get until 10pm on my last day to have things out they said no I would be locked out of the unit at 7 PM that was not the case when I moved in there. I was for sure loading things at 10 pm. I could not understand if I would've been late on my payment I would not be locked out, but because I was requesting an extra day that I was willing to pay for they could not work with me. Well I'm back in NC and decided not to use uhaul and will not use them again for trucks either.

Everyone else tried to tell me Uhaul probably wouldn't compensate me. But I carried faith with me. Uhaul is one company that still values customer service in a day where it is hard to find. It wasn't easy for me to lose my high school year book or my children's' sentimental belongings but I was respected and felt valued. Thank you again Fred and Uhaul for doing what's right! Godspeed

Alma J. | Overall ExperienceThe facility is spotless, the unit was spotless. I had to use the bathroom, very clean and well stocked. The directions to get in after-hours were not that clear, it took a few extra minutes for me to get into the building. But once inside, you could tell that this facility was well taken care of. The text I received when I booked the unit said there would be a lock waiting for me in the unit. There was no lock, luckily there was a Target nearby and I was able to purchase one. However, when I went to the office the next day to seek a refund for the lock, the person was unable to help me. She was very professional and took down my information. I was told to come back when a manager was available. The lock was less than $14. I would expect that employees can be empowered to make a $14 decision, especially since I had a receipt and the text stating a lock would be in the unit. I have not had a chance to go back to the office, so I am still out my money. I provided my cell number, no call back. That is why I am rating this just average. Frank Ficaro 203-556-4792
