Two issues when reserving the vehicle on your website: program calculates mileage from the pickup location to the drop off location (one way rental) and no where on the website did it show a .40 cent/mile charge until after you make the purchase. The rep at the pickup location adjusted the mileage allotment when I advised them. Reps at North Port very helpful

Don't lie to customers. Sales rep at the first place I stopped assured me I was eligible for a 10 percent discount as a disabled veteran (Vietnam). This was confirmed by a call center rep when I called to confirm my pickup at another location. When I arrived, however,I was told UHAUL stopped offering that discount at least two years ago.... then, of course, the truck broke about 500 miles before I arrived at my destination.

Everything was bad supposed to pick up trailer in north Port Florida,got call from U-Haul that none were available in north Port had to go to Sarasota to pick up got there early there was no trailer for me send me to Bradington they had none said there is one in north Port,all in all spent over 5 hours driving and 44.00 in gas for my motor home before I finally got trailer,at North Port made the drop off point which was to be u haul in Olyphant Pabext to the Casey hwy with a storage unit was supposed to be one month free then 59.00 per month,they won’t take trailer there plus no storage unit either was able to drop off trailer but no place for motorcycle couldn’t leave bike there had to leave along the road I have been a long time customer of U Haul,you cost me s great deal of money which should not have been,plus an extra 12 hours of extra time which was totally your fault,it still is not even close to be resolved....

I used online pick-up to reserve my truck. When I got there I checked in on the app and was provided a truck number to find on the lot. This truck was nowhere to be found on the lot, so the app provided me with a new truck number that was at the location. I received the key for the truck and was about to pull out of the lot when I was called and informed that the truck that I was about to leave in (that the app told me to take) was already scheduled for someone else and that I would have to wait for the truck originally allocated for my order to be picked up from another location. I was told that if i couldn't wait I could take the replacement truck, however then I would have to have it back hours sooner than the time I had registered needing the truck for. I was already in a time crunch for my move and only had the 1 day to make it happen. I purposely used the app as it assured me that it would save time and ended up costing me more time in the long run. I would like to be reimbursed for the issues that arose, the last minute handling of the issues, and the delay caused to my move. I did my part in making my reservation and I believe that what I had ordered and paid for should have been there for me as promised.

The staff was very thorough and helpful but the truck I rented had extreme wind noise which made it hard to talk in the cab area. There was not even a CD player and I was on a 24 hour road trip. There were hazard lights so I could alert drivers behind me of an extreme slow down and I purchased a lock for the back of the truck door but couldn't not use it for the free storage unit and was required to purchase an additional lock even though my husband is a locksmith.

Make sure to check the vehicle to assure all the equipment is in the vehicle - mine was missing the dolly i paid for and had to go back to get the dolly and use additional miles. Make sure that vehicle is safe and in working order, license plate was not secured and fell off.

Fire the GM there, he's one of the worse ones I've seen been using this location for a long time and the ones before kept things running smoothly but every since he has taking over this is the worse service I have had.. Honestly think I'll be using penske or another rental place for now on spending more for better service is fine by me because it's a crap show over at the location that once was good now is ran by idiots..

I was told that this drop off location was 24 hours I was done unpacking and had hired a driver to drive it to the drop off location i was outside trying to reach someone for 45 min at midnite. finally get someone on the phone and tell them I need a passcode for after hour drop off they tell me this is not 24 hours to return the next day at 9 am after I just filled the truck up more than half way well another 12 miles to my house and I had to pay the driver. The next day the driver comes back I pay him again and we return the truck at the checkout the guy says your over on mileage the driver and myself are explaining to the guy that we had to come back and forth and refill with fuel. He said you can pay now and call customer service or pay in 7 days or go to collection. He was being honest nothing wrong with that but I didnt even bother calling customer service because I know it will just be another headache. A $200 one day rental turned into $450 for me. Please make sure your customer service reps check for the drop off before agreeing and saying it's a 24 drop off location. I shouldve checked it out on my own.

Operator was not aware that my rental pickup was messed up, that on the phone I had been promised an extra 25 miles, and a discount in the total rental. Tried to charge me an extra 205 total for going 5 miles over the original contact. Refused to credit turning rental in for four hours total rental. Charged me the full two day rental. Worst service I’ve ever received from U-Haul, and I’ve rented several times.
