Truck was in immediate need of suspension maintenance. Location was ok not much explained. Having the truck in miles amd charges in KM is very confusing for customers. They sat just go and we will email receipts but it's extremely difficult to know if you were charged properly. Also Having the staff leave to go get the truck causes operational issues in the store. Overall needs work. I have been head of operations and sales/service for 20 years and this set up could definitely be improvedMelissa F.
I had booked a truck in Aurora location(51 Industrial) for 7am morning when I went to pick up truck they said we don't have any truck while I had booked it for two days before Anyway we went to Newmarket location and right way they provided truck. Was not told about the 1,000km max for week long rental, originally was going to rent for five days then called to extend rental to a full week. Was told by employee when I called for the extension that regardless it would be $19.99 plus km for the two extra days! When I said it would be a week rental with unlimited km i was told "it's fine we will figure it out when you bring the truck back" . "I can't give you a total now we are to busy" call was made for the rental extension on August 2nd @ 6:17pm... call lasted over 4min because employee couldn't find my reservation..... (at that time I was still not informed about extra km!!!!) I specifically stated when I picked up the truck with credit card deposit that I wanted to do final pay by debit and not have my card charged!!! Card was charged when I called for extension even though I was told by an employee on Aug 2nd it would not be and I could do final payment by debit or cash when I returned the truck. Last rental I did I stated the same thing regarding final payment but was forced to have credit card charged a day or two after returning the truck due to your debit system being down and I was denied and told no when I wanted to pay cash If I knew it wasn't unlimited Km I would have returned the truck on the Wednesday before hitting the 1,000 plus Km so I didn't occur the extra charges!!!! Never saw a U haul email either regarding Km or inspections till after returning the truck. With just this rental I was not informed of certain details, was blatantly called a liar, delt with clearly a newer or not trained employee on the phone when asking....in my opinion...........important questions about an extension on my rental time. When I asked why the credit card was charged before returning the truck i was then told almost $500 was charged when i called for an extension and "you should have known that" when I returned the truck the employee said "it's too bad we can't reverse it" When truck was picked up employee asked how many Km I would be doing, I originally said 650km!! That was before calling four days later and getting an extension. This was the only conversation I had regarding how many Km I would use!!! When I dropped off the truck I questioned the extra charge only because my understanding was unlimited KM. Employee asked if I was told about the 1,000km max and when I said no his response was "well I'm going to say your lying because I tell everyone" Previous rental was absolutely amazing from start to finish other then not being able to pay by the methods I wanted too!!! dealing with the blonde lady a few months prior to this rental was an absolute pleasure!!! (Maybe she should train the newer staff at this location to avoid this kind of thing from happening!!!)Peter R.

We got moved around multiple times. We originally booked a truck for Aurora, which we then got moved to Concord which is ~30km away and then we got moved to Newmarket. We were also supposed to drop off our truck in Ajax where we are moving to however when we picked up the truck in Newmarket they told us we have to return it back to Newmarket (which is about 60 km away) and we can't return it to Ajax meaning we have to drive all the way back up and spend extra gas on that. If you can't keep promises, dont make them. I'm very disappointed in this experience and will not be coming back.Eugene L.

Always make sure the vehicle/ van or equipment is clean before renting it out to customers in my case I had to watched and clean the equipment before I can put my things inside which I believe the company should have done before renting out. Overall is not bad.abdul B.

Surprised when I got confirmation that I had to pick up the truck in Newmarket, considering when I was booking the site I was on was for Aurora rentals. Luckily I read the fine print. Luckily I was going in that direction to use the truck. If my trip was south that would have been an extra 40km added to my bill. Had the worst customer service we reserved the 26' uhaul back in march to make sure we had one in place .. we were moving from aurora ontario to Gatineau quÃ©bec the day before our BIG move we get a call that the uhaul was not available the only one we can get was the Tuesday instead the Wednesday plus we had to come back and drop it in Aurora seriously what a JOKE!! we had to rent 2 more uhaul to make it to our move cause of the mess up you guys did â€¦ i would NEVER recommend you guys to nobody very disorganized sooo disappointed we ended paying almost 3000$ cause of you guys mess upâ€¦🤬Achando B.

The only problem with the truck that was pointed out to me was that they may have been a small leak in the roof of the truck which may have resulted in a little rain leak through a getting some of my cardboard boxes a little wet. Luckily it did not rain very hard an the leak was obviously extremely small so that the rain did not appear to have caused any significant damage and when I returned the truck and brought it to the very pleasant and polite staff member Suzanne she indicated that the truck will be examined extra carefully as part of the post return equipment inspection prior to it being rented out to the next customer. The truck pickup was very difficult as the website was giving us difficulties delaying the move. Our month free storage unit was put for the wrong date (24th) when we were moving in the 27th so there was only a small locker set aside rather than the one prearranged which could accommodate everything. I emailed several times with no response. I rented the unit for two years and when we moved out some of belongings were water damages from a roof leak. Also they changed the doors at some point and whoever was the installer broke our glass vase by the door. The vase was only 60 dollars so I won't cry about that but it would of been honest if someone just let us know. Lastly they kept raising the price every few months. You implemented a price increase a month into my lease, which your company told me if I prepaid you would hold the rate I agreed to in the first place. Some would consider this a slimey business practice and forcing a customer to prepay. I would have if I had the money. Great service but was charged for a gas penalty. I returned it with the same level, but the sheet that had the gas amount written down was wrong. All went well except the returning of the truck! It was a long day & late night. I did not expect to have to go thru a mission debriefing to drop off the Truck! Watching the video does not explain exactly how, where & when the pictures should be taken! I ended up checking out 3 times before I got it right & that took almost 30 minutes! Even then I didn't check the right box to pay a outstanding $8 - but after 3 tries thankfully the app just pushed it thru & I could drop off the keys! Not so bad once you know how it works but would have been nice to have a heads up as to what to expect!
