Craig K.When I picked the truck up, the fuel was below 1/8 of a tank of gas (roughly 30 miles to low fuel per the warning on the dash). I called UHAUL and documented that the fuel was much less than what was provided on the paperwork (1/4 tank). I was informed that I should not have left the parking lot without reporting to the attendant. Apparently there was nothing that could be done since I accepted the truck in the link they provided. Two things - (1) When I accepted the truck, my focus was on reviewing the condition the equipment (scratches and dents) and not on the fuel level. I incorrectly assumed that would have been reliable. I understand that I did click through and confirm the indicated level, but when I immediately called to report the situation, customer service stated that they couldn't do anything. (2) Why would the fuel level be so low in the first place? At the counter, the attendant indicated that the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. When I pick up the equipment, I didn't expect to have to get fuel on the way back (and try to estimate how much I would use during the move). Of all the things that I had to coordinate during the move timeline, immediately getting fuel was not on my list. For fear of being charged a penalty for returning the truck with less fuel than was states, I put in several more gallons of fuel than I used. When I returned the truck at the end of the day, I spoke with the attendant at the location about the fuel situation. Again, nothing was done even though I had the photo of the low fuel indicator and the fuel receipts. For my next move, I'll definitely look for another company in hopes them having better documentation of the status of their equipment before renting it and better customer service.

Knowing that we were moving out, I never really pushed harder for it. Both times there was flooding, the staff was very informative about the incident and they were as accommodating as can be with removal of ruined property, settling, etc.

The app was down and so I couldn't upload pictures of the fuel gauge which was different than what the previous user had logged and so I was over charged. Made several calls about this and have yet to be reimbursed. Ratty old truck, not worth $.99 per mile. Gas guzzler.

KENNETH D.Quite rude, welcome to U-Haul. 1. It all started with employee gossip about how the workplace sucks in front of myself, the customer... 2. At drop off, I pulled up to the drop off section and an employee told me to do a drop off in one location, which I did, to another employee being nasty and telling me to re-hook the trailer and move it to another location across the parking lot. 3. Finally, I rented an enclosed trailer vs. and open trailer because of rain, needless to say, the front right corner of the trailer was not water tight.

Sally C.If a customer reserves a truck for a 24/7 rental and the location doesn't have the truck at least 12 hours before the rental time, notify the customer. I needed to pick up the truck at 7:30am and had movers coming at 8 and they sat for an hour before I could ever get the truck. Wasted their time and my money because Uhaul wasn't prepared. The $50 rebate was nice but did not offset the cost of the wasted hour. Do better.
Amanda M.On the whole the experience was positive; however, the pricing is a big issue and I am still awaiting resolution and the delivery of my Upod to Florida was very poor. The delivery window was missed by 8 or so hours. I had ordered 2 containers but only needed one, there is no cost for the unused container. However, the estimated cost of the container delivery to Florida was approximately $1000 for each box. Only one box was delivered but I was still charged over $2000. I have been trying to get this rectified for two weeks but no resolution as yet!
Ray A.I would recommend however please be aware they do not credit you if you overfill the gas tank, please be sure to put the same exact amount of gas you picked up with when you return or else they'll keep your gas and your bucks.

It was booked for two boxes and quoted, then entered by the representative incorrectly and needed to be augmented and the price doubled. Additionally, the mover in Newburgh price gouged me and held my belongings for hostage. Originally was quoted $260 for the mover, they then charge me an additional $620, highway robbery. In New Orleans there was a lot of chaos and again I went from a $230 quote on the movers to pay $590. So basically, my original quote was more than doubled. Ripoff, scam, bait and switch, don't waste your time!

Was in line to buy a hitch related item, had to wait ten minutes for the person in front of me to finish his booking process. Would have left the store if i didn't need it right there and then. This being said, I do like this location. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, equipment is always clean and mostly available.
GABOR K.I’ve used U-haul for the past 10 years and have always suggested their services to clients and friends, until now… I’ve had the worst experience at the Newburgh, NY location! The customer service/client care does not exist! While moving in someone tried to steal my plants and the women who attempted to steal them said that the representatives inside the office told her she could have the plants - very well knowing the plants belonged to me. I was supervising them while unloading/sitting in my vehicle. Aside from that, a previous representative told me if I didn’t move my plants they would put them in the garbage! While less than 20 ft away is a huge mess of garbage, furniture, and a plethora of discarded junk sitting in the loading area! But a beautiful plant ( living thing) is what they said will end up in the trash if I did not move it?! How could U-Haul treat their customers like this, tag their credit cards for whatever additional incidents and then expect to have repeat customers?! Please think twice before using any type of U- haul service. Use Home Depot, Hertz, Enterprise, Edge, C&C, Penske or Budget truck rentals. In my opinion U- haul is no longer the reputable/respectable company they once were! I forgot to mention, while I was unloading my belongings, I spoke with other customers moving their belongings out, and they too confirmed that the customer service (rather one specific person) was extremely unpleasant and not friendly/cooperative at all. So, it just wasn’t me having the bad experience.

anter f. | First ImpressionsSorry but I reserved a 10 x 10 locker and that is what I receive. However, the 10 x 10 locker has a door that’s maybe 3 feet wide. Due to such a small door on a large locker I had to go through so many complications to try and get my stuff into the locker. there is no way a 10 foot locker should have that kind of a door and it not be made known to the customer and allow them to have the choice on rather not they wanted to except a locker with such a small door. I have to take and most of the stuff out of the truck to see the end of the locker has such a small door and you might not be able to get the things into the locker , that is very wrong. In addition to that to find out afterwards that you guys have no lockers, it is now 5 o’clock at night and most of the other facilities are close so there’s no way to get another location to put my stuff in it just seems like very bad business. if it wasn’t that time of night and I had most of the stuff offloaded from the truck, there’s no way I would’ve kept a locker. Communication needs to be better so that the customer would have choices and what they want to do not have them sign a contract and offload the items only to find out That what they signed a contract for. He’s not even something they want or something that works for them.
