The staff were very helpful when I picked up the truck, and the truck was reasonably clean. Driving easily on city streets the truck seemed fine, but when loaded going downhill on the highway putting more pressure on the brakes cause massive shuddering to the point where I was loosing control. I've driven for 55 years and may rental vehicles and truck, but never have I had a frightening experience like that. The response when I returned the truck was indifference. Stay away, and pray you don't get that vehicle next time you think about renting from u-Haul. Go elsewhere.Mark W.
Very upset with the self return system. I spent over an hour trying to understand how it works. I dropped the keys. Got charged $20. I've Been renting uhauls for 18-19 years. Several hundred rentals. The young lady who process my original contract should not of been at work due to her cold, sniffles, running nose under her mask. Covid is spreading, employees displaying flue symptoms should NOT be dealing with customers!! When I returned the van I made sure the fuel was exactly where the original contract displayed and followed the chart you provide customers as a guideline. My fuel should of come to approximately $15.00 to assure I fuel up with $20.00 the fuel level was exactly as per the contract. The young man who process my return outside tried to tell me the fuel was not according to the sheet he would be charging fuel charge ??? I pointed out and showed him the receipt for the fuel for the gas station next door. I OFFERED TO return to the gas station and add $5.00 of fuel and the fact I COMPLETELY DISAGREED ! The clerk the asked ifninhad the $5.00 cash to give him instead. ?????????????? HMM are you kidding me now you are trying to scam the customer ??? WOW DO I LOOK THAT STUPID ?? I declined his request to pay him directly at which point he stated would wave the $12.00 fuel surcharge .. Sorry this is a way of internal theft and completely dishonest action on the part of the employee.!! Please review your sick policy employees displaying flue, cold syntoms should not be at work.. The equipment ran fine, but the truck had the knob on the window crank missing, ran out of washer fluid as I was drawing on salty roads. I would say that washer fluid should just be refilled when a truck gets back from service, especially during winter months. The windshield was smeared on the inside so when you get a bright sunny day reflecting, its hard to see.MARK P.
I reset the fuel litres counter when I left with the vehicle. It said I burned 21.3 litres. Before returning vehicle I filled it up and put 31 litres in it. I rent very often from this location for my landscape company as I am always renting trailers. I was disappointed with this.REHMAN R.

You have no snow brushes so the vehicles can be driven with out cleaning, which take my time. No snow tires in Canada is DANGEROUS, and by not changing them your putting peoples lives at risk.ADAM B.

The point is you get allured that it is a cheap service like 19.99 â€¦ and at the end of the day you end up paying 100$ after gas! I only used the truck for two hours yesterday and 35 kms â€¦ i had to refill tank for 17 liters!! And ended up paying 75$ to U-Haul and 25 for gasSYAVASH A.

when I picked up the vehicle the dash showed the yellow low tire pressure warning light ON. I asked the attendant to pump up the tires as 1 corner looked low. The attendant told me the tire pressure sensor was faulty but added some air anyway. After driving away 10km I noticed that the dash read out told me the right rear was at 50psi vs 80psi for the other tires. I returned to u-haul and asked the attendant to fix the problem as I was driving 100s of km on the highway. After some time the attendant managed to hook up the air to the tire an inflate to 80psi. Also, for the duration of the hire the wind sheld washer did not work, though it did work at the end of the day when we got back to the u-haul depot.paolo A.

The rental went very smoothly. Was a little upset with inside of U-Haul. It was musty, wet, and hadn't been cleaned out very well. Had mud, dirt, and leaves all that had been swept to the side, but we're still in trailer. Caused some of our furniture to get dirty. Glad we paid extra for blankets to keep our stuff clean.HANS B.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating but seem to lack direction or understanding of the winter road conditions in this area. To have M+S tires on (instead of a proper snow tire), no chains available, no shovel or any other materials for dealing with snow and ice is irresponsible! I made the staff aware of where I was travelling, asked for proper winter equipment and was told this was not available. Due to this equipment not being on the truck we had a very difficult experience that required an unplanned hotel stay in Lillooet (but could have been much worse). If it were not for an extremely helpful passer-by we would have spent the winter night, on the mountain pass, in the truck! My recommendation would be to include proper snow tires, chains, shovel and other materials with the rental during the snow seasons.LESLIE K.

Happy with North Vancouver location but the one in one in 1766 Renfrew was the owner very dishonest he canceled our reservation and rent out our cargo to someone else in front of us he said this person is renting for two days. Then he told the uhaul customer service that we were late and he called us and we didn't answer his call which is lie. I sent the screenshot of my phone miss calls to your costumer service Sharon. Stairs only, no elevator. The passcode I was emailed is incorrect and I was given a card and it doesn't work. I was told on my second visit not to worry about the security code and just walk up the stairs . Parking for personal vehicles at this location is a significant issue. Spaces should be provided for people that are renting trucks or vans. Renters should be warned ahead of time on this issue. I spent 30 mins looking for street parking for my car.RYAN D.

The driver's side sun visor was broken so that it hung down when I went over a bump, and would have been very easy to fix before I rented it. Also the inside of the box leaked quite a lot. Fortunately, contents were moved before the pooling rain water did any damage. Otherwise, easy to drive, and the whole experience was easy.LOIS S.
When I received the car the gas was half full and when I returned the vehicle I made sure it was exactly half full the way I received it. The employee who took the car from me had a very bad attitude with me. When I tried talking to him he would not respond to my questions properly or he would answer them very unprofessionally. The receptionist would avoid telling me the employees name as I asked multiple times. At the end the receptionist provided me with a name for the employee, Dinsion. I'm not sure if this is the right name for the employee and the receptionist name as she provided was Angel. At the end they charged me extra for gas about $11 and wasted my time when there was no need to do any of this. I hope you guys are able to figure this out because this was a very unpleasant experience for me.Mohammad A.

Have been fairly disappointed with Uhaul the last 3 times I've used you guys. This time I was promised a 26' Which was not available as I learned by a phone call the following day and I had to get a 15' foot. This caused me an extra 4 hours of moving due to multiple loads and extra fuel. I was told I wouldn't have over charges and there were in fact over charges. Not much, however it's a false promise. The last time I rented a truck it had massive front end issues and when I notified the attendant upon my return all he had to say was â€œwhere's the keys?â€ The time before that I was overcharged for the Uhaul, the attendant was also not comfortable bringing the truck out as it was sardined in the lot, I have zero issue bringing it out as I do drive for a living but it would have been nice if he stayed and spotted me as I brought it out. As well I'm sure there is some liabilities on having customers pull the trucks out, especially if they are not used to driving something bigger then a caravan, I attempted to contact Uhaul but I couldn't be bothered to sit on hold for ever to sort it out. Overall pretty disappointed, I will likely continue to use the service as it does have many convenient factors, and in fact I'll have another one at the end of the month. However, I am rather disappointed and it would be nice to have a smooth rental just once.CHRISTOPHER S.

Steering has a hilarious amount of play smelled like cigarettes and air fresheners as usual dirty truck inside and out cup holders gross door handle to close door had allot of water in it and was dirty shoved my hand into it dirt in the back of the truck literal dirt. Drivers side door did not work with key so had to unlock passenger door climb across every time I' got into the truck gets better transmission refused to shift up so driving at 4000 rpm accelerating and compression braking hard like a race truck burnt 22 dollars of fuel in 12 miles that's 4 miles per gallon how can the injectors even inject that's much fuel is this truck leaking gasoline ? Ohh yea let's not forget ordered a dolly / hand truck got to the house realized it wasn't in the truck I should have checked right but I did order it. Then when you drop off the truck after hours you have to use a app to do a list of tasks including allot of photos of the truck in many places in the dark ? Turn on location services prove location which will tell you location can't be found then they charge you 20 dollar fee for not filling out the after hours drop off form then you call U-Haul the next day to dispute and they tell you that you tried to use the app while at home and I wasn't at the location not true also so I asked ok then where do I live and she replied I'll put you through to customer service on hold for awhile then registered number for a call back Which is hilarious cuz the call back puts you on hold for another 5 minutes until you speak with someone who mentioned to me she has gotten pretty used to these phone calls about the application not working and people getting charged extra. The truck we rented was not running well snd needed engine work the way it ran was terrible and made us nervous to drive. Engine light on, etc. Got in and said battery was low. Windows were very difficult to roll down and driver side had no knob on it! We came from Vancouver Island to rent it to help our daughter move. Just felt nervous it was going to break down on us in the middle of a move. Definitely needed mechanical work.KENNITH E.
When it comes to the actual check in for the storage unit, everything was fine. But the problem was that I also rented the uhaul van because I was moving. I was informed the morning of my move that the van is no longer available. They switched me to the pickup truck. I called uhaul and said that I can't use the pickup truck, as it's too small for some of my furniture and it was going to pour rain all afternoon. I canceled the pickup truck (and the rest of my day was a nightmare as I scrambled to find ways to move my things) and asked for the $50 I get if my rented vehicle isn't available. The woman on the phone said that I couldn't get the $50 because they're offering me the pickup. She was argumentative and dismissive. She eventually agreed that I should get the $50 but she was rude. If you look at my file, she's the one that canceled my rental of the pickup truck. I recommend you listen to that tape.Ryan C. | First Impressions

Sorry no comment to improve, this is my local and favorite uhaul location. The attention to customer satisfaction and seamless rental experiences. From a special action a week prior and a generally bad day for myself to try and make me smile to going above and beyond on this rental to making an exception to exceptional circumstances that caused me to need to drive an alternative route that wasn't planned and not be penalized for it. Outstanding just outstanding, keep doing what the teams is doing and this will always be my first choice for truck rental needs. GraciasJohn W.
