I rented a 15' truck because a pickup truck was not available to pick up a brand new refrigerator, the vehicle was damaged and dirty and was in horrible condition unlucky I only used it locally, you hall makes a lot of money on their rentals and they need to upgrade There are 15 footers and other ones that locally are being used for moving issues issues, most of their pickup seem to be newer but the Box trucks seem to still be older models in implorable condition..JOSEPH A.

The check out was very fast, which was nice. But when I got the truck I turned it on and there was no AC! They said they didn't have another one and I was scheduled to meet people to pick up furniture so I had to take it. It was almost 100 degrees outside and after moving heavy furniture for 3 hours and then getting in a blazing hot truck and driving in that heat we were MISERABLE! Luckily it was only 9 miles each way. But it still felt like literal hell!Rosanna B.
Excellent service, employees were super helpful and even saved me from losing my tools as I was driving off. And upon returning the vehicle I had put in more fuel then needed and they applied a "fuel credit" to my final invoice. Trucks were set to turn off AC any time engine was under load "accelerating". This was not disclosed. So on my round trip to Palm Desert in 105 degree weather the air was off more than on! Not because of my driving but because the motor has to work harder to go up hill and in a head wind. I don't know what moron came up with this idea especially as I was paying for the gas! I will never wast my time with this or any u-haul again.William C.

The van that I rented had bad alignment and smelled like weed (especially in the cargo area) but was otherwise fine. Also, I wasn't aware in advance of pickup that U-Haul requires 1-2 additional contact persons not only on file, but to answer their phones when called right then and there. I've rented vehicles from a half-dozen other providers without this requirement. I assume that its need is legitimate, but U-Haul should nevertheless inform renters of it before vehicle pickup.Derek F.

The uhaul that was rented had a broken gas meter so we ran out of gas, the battery died on us the power steering felt like it was about to go out. The cab smelled of gas and exhaust. The manager was kind enough to credit our account but our experience with this moving truck was horrible.Henry F.

Thanks to the GM Juddy for making my day go so smooth. I had a bad ground on my truck, I waited for the mechanic to get back from a road call. He troubleshot and had my ground problem fixed in less than 10 minutes, at no extra cost. And Juddy went ahead and extended the return of the trailer until next day, but I was able to get back into town before they closed. Thanks again for your great help and assistance.Emerso M.

There was an item left in the truck and no one took a minute out of their day to tell me it's ready to be picked up. I called multiple times and all I was told is someone will reach out. 3 days later and nothing called back to be placed on hold. Waited 2 kore weeks and even stopped at the location....The prices are too high as well. The representative was not helpful. Overall I'm disappointed with the knowledge and customer service.SUHAIL A.

Customer service was awful no discounts, rude and helping 2 customers at once without even addressing it found myself questioning if she was talking to me or someone else! We ended up using the dolly in the truck because it was not tide down with a green zip tie and we knew that it would be impossible to prove that it did not have one. The outside of the truck looked decent but was not washed. I ended up using the windshield wipers which made it worse. I got to the lot t return the truck at 7:02pm but the doors were closed already. There was 2 employees running around putting things away, so I ended up doing the self check out, which is a hard and lengthy process. There needs to be more information also, even though it is lengthy, but there is no where to put what is actually wrong with the vehicle. When I pushed the brakes hard, when needed, the front would shake a bit, but when you brake normal, it was good, no issues. There is no place to put that as it is a yes and no questionnaire.Jose G.

This is absolute worst experience I've had with a moving/storage company. The staff specifically ridiculed my fiancé's payment method during a national pandemic while the storage manager giggled beside her. My fiancé called the corporate number and filed a report but nothing ever became of it and there was no follow up. Afterwards, we still received harassing phone calls from unprofessional staff. I will never deal with this company again after how my fiancé and I were treated. I'd rather lose all my items in storage, than deal with unprofessional staff, uncaring management, & bad business practices. I appreciate the phone call clear up after I got a call saying I forgot my lock on the door several days after I left the unit clean. I did not know the lock was mines. And I told the lady at the counter my husband gave the keys along with the keys to the truck we rented. On the day of my pick which was after hours, my 10ft truck wasn't prepared for self pick up. I called the agent then she referred to me a different location 30 mins away. However, the new location for pick up was closed also. I drove from San Diego to Redlands only to know that my truck was not prepared and have to stay overnight for next day pick up.
