Our truck brake light was on the whole time , we had no light , on the truck in the back was very hard to struggle to take everything out , so we could only un load some and had to wait till the next morning .amada M.
Hand trucks reserved were not available. Lack of proper equipment meant my team had to work extra strenuously. In cab someone had a prior spill on dashboard, could not load a picture to U-Haul condition of vehicle site. Mechanics and body of truck were in good condition. Will watch to see if U-Haul bills for spill on dashboard. Have saved picture taken at 9:52 AM with location tag of Beechnut @ Bissonnet should this become an billing issue. Friendly and helpful, but I was given a tow dolly missing the pin to hold the ramp up and it was held in place by a barely holding together rubber strap, which failed 5 minutes after pulling off the lot. I was not warned about this. I had to pull over thanks to a stranger telling me it was down and then tether it with my own supplies.Hannah M.

I would recommend more accuracy in the reservation/rental details. I initially visited one location and was informed that the truck I wanted to rent wasn't available, however, was available at a second location. I traveled twenty minutes away only to be told that the truck was indeed not available there. I ended up renting another truck that could have been rented at the initial location. The checkout experience with the owner was very easy, and pleasant. The return experience was less than desirable. The owner told me in the morning they were open until 8 PM and I was going to return the vehicle before then. I arrived at 7:52 PM and the store was already closed, yet 3 staff were inside. They saw me and didn't acknowledge me so I knocked on the window and door. They said they were closed, I told them it was not 8 PM, and they refused to help me. I struggled for 15 minutes with the online/App return procedure. I would fire all three of these afternoon/closing staff.Edward M.

The truck was very nice, new and clean. But the "dolly", a waste. I requested a furniture dolly, which was on my confirmation, for $7, but when I came to pick it up along with the van, & was on time, the 2 dollies they have were given out to someone else. Instead I was given a homemade dolly with wheels that did not rotate, which rendered it useless. The guy said he didn't charge for the useless dolly, but it was on the invoice which was then removed after I pointed all this out. When someone reserves additional equipment, whatever that is, it needs to be held for the person who rented it, not given out to whoever asks. They need more help and more furniture dollies. I'll go to Harbor Freight and buy one.Kate B.

We did have a bad experience though. We originally rented it from Voss location near 77024 to be picked up at 7:00 AM. When we arrived the lock on the U-Haul would not work so we could not get our van. After multiple calls and holds we were sent to the other location which was 30 minutes away. The communication needs to be clear about the â€œyou can return your vehicle anytime 24/7 and check in in online any time at no additional chargeâ€, but if you return the vehicle after hours and Don't check in online you are charged $20. Furthermore the checking in process Requires the key in your possession, the vehicle turned on AND you MUST be at the rental location. There was NO explanation by the rental agent, NO posters about this on the premises and IF it IS printed at all on the contract how to do it, to save paper the contract is in such tiny microscopic type it's purposely impossible to read. I had trouble with the online return process and couldn't complete it. 2. I was charged on my fonal bill for items i didn't request nor receive. 3. The trucks need 360 degrees cameras! You would think other motorists would see you in a giant truck but i had trouble getting to change lanes. Thanks very much.Paula K.

Charles or Charlie (Manager at Bissonet location) was Amazing. We arrived to unload a Uhaul we rented 1 way from Missouri 45 min before closing and the manager greeted us outside, helped us use our code to gain access and showed us to our unit. The unit was smaller then I expected and I went into office and inquired about a larger unit. Charles was very through and accommodating and found us the perfect size within our budget. He also suggested I call the 1800 number and see about dropping the uhaul at his location to make it easier for us seeing as I would have had to drive across town to drop it off. Once I spoke to a customer care agent it was no issue moving my drop location to the Bissonet store. I was So Happy and Impressed with the customer service Charles gave us and the attentiveness given so close to him getting off work. Thank you so much!Travis K. | Online Move In

This was a very expensive space but Jorden Lewis and the staff were well trained and generally excellent and so compensated somewhat for the excessive cost. They never did get the alarm glitch straightened out and after about a dozen tries I just gave up and learned that after what seemed like eternity, the alarm stopped. Surely the neighbors got tired of hearing all the noise and the police never did come so I would say the alarm really does not work except as an irritant.
