I can't remember what the owner's name was that helped me, but he was very polite and pleasant to deal with. I reserved online and the pick up and drop off process was quick and easy. Very satisfied with the experience.

Big place, very orderly, staff is polite and seem to know what they're talking about, but..........if you're going to go here bring your pillow, a blanket, and have a Netflix movie at hand because you'll need it. 25 minutes waiting on line to get to the counter, another 8-10 minutes with the paperwork, then another 25-30 minutes waiting for the truck. I asked two employees outside what's going on here I have to get to work!.....Nobody knew Anything, then I got the owner, he said the truck was buried, "in the back". Polite guy but not too enthusiastic to make sure I goit help.If time means anything to you stay away from this place.

Upon check in the process was way too long. Person did not have any respect for my time and that I was on the clock to return the truck by a certain time. They also did not take the time to check if pads were in the truck, which were not. Upon return, same thing. Person did not seem to respect time. Just lazy. No greeting, not one smile the entire time I was there and a real lack of respect for the consumer. They seemed like they did not want to be there and would rather be fishing. There are plenty of other U-Haul places in town. Choose those.

my main problem is not with THIS location but with U-Haul online reservation. I reserved a trailer online. The system allowed me to reserve a 5x10 trailer which it said was available at 376 N Harbor City (2 blocks away). When I showed up at 376 they correctly told me they are a storage location - not a trailer renting place. The trailer renting place is 2 blocks away at 438 N. Harbor. When I went to 438 after a long wait, the people there were kind of rude telling me that 5 x 8 trailers are not used in this country but they had a 6 x 12 for me. I guess is was my fault that the U-Haul online system tells me to pick one up (of the non-existent size) at a storage location where trailers are NEVER rented out! To add to the fun, I had rented a dolly and purchased and paid for 8 boxes. the purchased boxes could not be found in the reservation. After 15 minutes of screwing around they discovered that the online system had "assigned" that the boxes were to be picked up at the other storage location i.e. TRAILER AND DOLLY HERE, BOXES OVER THERE! LOL. Finally I left there with my 6x12 trailer and dolly, went picked the boxes at the other place where the man smiled and scratched his head at the wonderful online system. but we are not done yet. I returned 23 hours later to make sure it was only 1 day rental. But of course they billed me for 2 days. After showing contract and evidence they spent 30 minutes cancelling and re-checking. I left there with a promise that a credit was issued and in 2-3 days the bank will credit me the wrong extra day. What a screw-up operation!!

The team at the Melbourne Uhaul was extremely helpful. I wasn't scheduled to get my stuff until next Wednesday. After speaking with Chad, the customer service rep, he offered me an alternative solution. Working with Tony and Howard at Melbourne, they worked extra hard to get me my order ahead of time by providing a trailer and working quickly to load my pods under limited time. Stacey, the ubox coordinator in Palm Bay, also worked to keep me updated on any changing schedules. Very impressed with the staff. I would recommend this location to anyone interested.

Equipment was fine, but your system is really bad. I spent at least 30 mins trying to download pictures to verify equipment condition, returned the equip that afternoon and girl said system was down. Got an email today saying I had not returned equipment and spent another 45 minutes on the phone to close out contract

The day before arriving i called and confirmed I was all set to pick up the trailer at 9am the next day. I arrived 20 minutes early for my reservation and I was second in line. I completed the online check in while in line. I did not get helped until I had already been in the store for 40 minutes standing at the counter. Once Tony, the owner, finally appeared to be helping me, he started helping people who were further down in the wrap-around-the-store line. I was at the store over an hour past my reservation. Everyone in line was livid. Later that day, I called the store to try to get assistance with taking the trailer hitch off. I called multiple times and waited on hold multiple times with no answer. Returning the trailer was fine and quick. But my view of this store is beyond repair. I will not be recommending this store to anyone.

We had a hard time finding entrance from street. Office is set back on property. Only parking is for trucks. No "entrance" signage. Entrance looks like it is for trucks only. Customer service was terrible. Ignored by staff when in office and looking for help. Paperwork took a very long time due to needing to speak with contact person. My contact was at work and unreachable. It took 15 minutes for the U-Haul rep to suggest using the person I was with as my contact. In the meantime, the line built up behind me waiting for this one available rep. I liked the photo technology when getting to the truck. However, when I noticed a scratch that you couldn't see in the picture, the app timed out when uploading my photo. There was no notice given to that time. After "inconveniencing" a U-Haul rep outside by asking for help, I went back inside. After waiting in line again (I wasn't waived to the front despite being recognized as someone who has been there already and has a problem/question), all it took was resending app. Should it take 1 1/2 hours to pick up a truck that was ordered the day before? There was "no" parking at the business. There was about 8 spaces that looked liked employee parking. Luckily, someone left while I was looking for place to park. When returning truck, I parked it where I picked it up. Wrong. I was told to move it. No return signs, and not told when picking up truck. I "inconvenienced" the person checking the truck back in. So, terrible U-Haul reps. One that couldn't manage and help customers in office, and two that were "inconvenienced" when asked to do their job. Never again.

Customer service was horrible. They let people stand while they had conversations, took personal phone calls etc. Took over an hour to rent a trailer when only 1 other customer was on site, who was also waiting. All staff, including the general manager, who was there when I returned, were extremely arrogant and rude. I will never use this location again.

The customer service wasn’t the best, and the wait time was horrible. I had to wait a little over an hour, and there was only two people in front of me. The one person in front of me had been there for over an hour as well when I first had arrived. The wait time was unacceptable, specially when I had a reservation made and confirmed, and was doing the mobile pick up. Even the wait thru the mobile pick up felt extremely long after waiting so long in line. The service there wasn’t the greatest either.

Prepaid amount plus itemized charges on screen totaled to a $100 difference that was explained by owner as a deposit but reflected several additional items instead of listing the difference wholly as a deposit. This was very confusing and poorly communicated/explained by the manager. I had to take his word which is fine and he was right. BUT itemized charges listed on transaction screen did NOT reflect the verbal explanation of charges. Also, equipment covered in love bugs but doubt store had time to clean as it was returned just before I arrived. Front windshield was smeared slightly reducing visibility. Inside of box compartment clean, inside cab clean! Thanks for your great truck rentals and low prices.

We were supposed to be able to drop anywhere so our first stop couldn’t take it. Then we went to the assigned one and it is just a storage unit and wouldn’t take the truck and trailer sending us to a third location. 4 hours later we finally got someone to take the truck and trailer but it was difficult to access with a 26 foot truck and 12 ft foot trailer

The manager stated that I damaged the truck that I use for 2 hours on the roof of the truck and charged me for damage that never happened when I drove it for 2 hours this is ridiculous it's almost criminal he sent the truck to get fixed before I can come back and inspect

Took 40 minutes to check out after I did everything on line . Credit card terminal was down . When returned guy asked me about the cardboard and I said it was in the trailer when I picked it up. He told me to use my phone and take pictures. I don't work for u haul. Take your own pictures and get a I T system that works . Capt. Bob

I went to U-Haul @ Palm Bay road n Babcock, they didn't have a trailer so they referred me to North Harbor City Blvd. Luckly they had one trailer left when I got there. Why couldn't your rep @ the palm bay location call harbor city blvd location & have them reserve the last trailer they had so I didn't have to race there before it was rented to another customer???

Process is slow. When I arrived in the morning, this was not an issue. Returning later in the day, there was a long wait. The two workers at the desk also worked the yard prepping the trailers and trucks. However, they did a great job and I will return.

We dropped this truck off after hours with a clean back end and had to leave one cub in the cup holder due to there not being any trash cans on this site (conveniently it seems) and I was charged $25 for someone to pick up a single cup - and was told there was some plastic under the seat of which was not mine. After calling this location to discuss this charge I was told rather rudely that they would not refund this unconscionable charge. BEWARE of every dropping your truck off at this site after the office is closed - they take advantage of you and will charge whatever they feel like. Shame on them.

We checked in online but we were still for 1 hour before walking out the door with the keys. Only two people working on a Saturday morning doesn’t not seem logical, as this is a busy day. The computer program was somewhat slow also.

When I went into the office on returning the vehicle, there were 2 employees, each assisting a customer. After a wait of 40 minutes, I still hadn’t been taken care if. I went to the counter, dropped the keys and paperwork on the counter and walked out. It appears that long and very slow lines are the norm, according to other reviewers

I took trailer to 575 N Apollo Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935... I was told by. A female working behind the counter.. was rude and said she couldn't take the trailer I had to take it down to another dealer. Which I was told I could take it to any U-Haul dealer and drop it off.. other than that the other two locations were awesome. Customer service.. those two locations were the easiest part of my whole trip.....

Every business has an occasional bad day, I suppose. I arrived on time. After waiting in an empty main area a few minutes, I glanced in the office door. I got a very surly "be with you in a couple minutes" from the apparent manager. It was ten minutes later that a clerk came in from outside; the guy at the desk never budged. After fifteen minutes, I was told that the work would take two hours, not the 1.5 hours I was told when I arranged the deal. In the event, it took nearly 2.5 hours! Then when the job was finished, another clerk tried to charge me $20 above the quoted price. I refused and demanded to see a manager. Then the first clerk showed up and claimed it was for "brackets" to keep the wires from flopping around. I still refused payment, believing that it should have been included in the quoted price and amounted to nothing more than a few tie-wraps anyway. The clerk abruptly walked out, then returned after a few minutes and said the installer did not use any brackets anyway, so I didn't have to pay. Note that if I had not refused to pay, I would have paid $20 extra for nothing! Midway through the installation time I told a clerk that I wanted to see how the hitch was bolted onto the frame, so please show me before the car was lowered from the stand. Some time later the apparent manager walked past where I was sitting and called over his shoulder "Come here", as he kept walking. As I followed he stated that if I didn't look now, I wouldn't be able to see the bolts. At least I was given a chance to take a quick look at the bolt configuration. So: 2.5 hours wait for a quoted 1.5 hour job; rude manager; attempt to overcharge me by $20, avoided only by my refusal to pay. But in the end, the price was still the cheapest option I found, so I'd recommend UHaul, maybe a different location. Or maybe they were just having a bad day.

I do not care for the new procedure of having me (the customer) have to photograph the rental truck and such. This is not my responsibility. This I feel is something the Uhaul employee should do with me. Reminds me of self check out lines in other stores - which I do not use at all and if self checkout it is my only option, I will go elsewhere.

Your employees did their job - no complaints on employees BUT you do not staff enough employees first thing in AM which is THE most important time instead of a line-up to get a truck which is already reserved a month in advance!!! Then one of your employees upgraded the man before me and gave him MY 26' truck when he paid for a 20' and you did not have one - he got mine and paid the 20' price. Then when I walked up you did not have another 26' for me until one of the men figured out there was one somewhere on the lot. BUT your software did not allow him to void the original truck which you gave to someone else. I got a very late start after he had to delete my reservation and start over TWICE. As a result the movers cost me more money, I was also late arriving, movers went home, had to call them back and we unloaded all night long with flood lights, I almost had to be taken to hospital was so exhausted and blood sugar low, no food etc because of the delay. U-Haul needs to change some policies and software issues. In spite of this I would recommend U-Haul.

Don’t charge folks for stuff they didn’t order and be more helpful in figuring out charges when customer has concerns. The uhaul lock we bought had the key break off with no force.

If by location you mean proximity, that is a great location. If you mean overall service, not so good… From check out to return it is clear that U-Haul is more interested in the bottom line then customer service. Someone called in sick on Saturday and they refused to call anybody in to help as the line built up it was the customers who suffered. Then upon return we were having some difficulty understanding how to use the automatic online check-in system to return the truck. It was apparent we were annoying the person inside the building who had to unlock the door to assist us. From the over complicated debriefing on the best way to check out that benefits uhaul only, to the process of tasks we had to complete when we brought the truck back, it is clear that Uhaul needs a lot of work on Their self service procedures and customer service in general. To be fair, truck ran great did the job pricing was good just not pleasant to deal with.

Have more employees at the counter so the customers are assisted in a more timely manner. Also, while my husband was standing in line to pick up a reserved pickup for 45 minutes while the counter representative was doing all tasks including checking vehicles that were returned, helping with counter purchases and trying to get rentals assigned, i was in the car watching a middle age man working at a snail pace cleaning out a returned moving van. Other returns backing up and blocking parking spaces were customers could not back up and leave until uhaul vehicles were moved. Poor design of return vehicle staging area or employees need to be trained on time management and/or hire proper workforce.

Scheduler blames others for his own lack of time management and web scheduling vehicle in coordination. Uses a blaming and crises management style apparently waits to the last minute to coordinate and change appointment times and blames you for using the website to schedule when his people are not there. This was my 4th hitch at this location over the years but something has changed with the attitude recently. Not nasty bad just blah with a I don't got time for you customers type attitude..

These guys are great - clean, sharp, and pleasant to deal with. A great help when I needed supplies while renovating my house and packing things up during several phases of remodeling. Looked for the best deal and fixed me up with a vehicle so I could pick up a piece of exercise equipment that I had purchased this week. Gave me pointers on moving and loading it. Had the van back in a couple of hours. Will use them again, I am sure, and I have recommended this location several times to co-workers and friends.

My reservation was change from my location on New Haven to US one nobody called and I receive no emails in regards to this which push back my move an hour more than what I allotted. Then I get to the U-Haul facility the girl up sells me on a handtruck or Dolly and pads tells me that it’s $10 at a flat rate fee not per day and when I go to return the truck I’m charge per day which is a $60 charge more than what I had agreed to. When we picked up the truck there was no Gas in the vehicle and we barely made it to the gas station they did offer a credit for fuel but it did not cover what the truck needed so I end up paying more for the gas and also more in mileage because I was at a further away location. I always use U-Haul but I will never bring my service there again

The management at this location is very poor. We were charged for 2 rental days when the truck was only used for one. The truck was returned after hours and checked in by the staff the following morning. We were told that this was an option by the staff during check in. When the additional charge was disputed the manager refused to budge. That is just plainly treating your customers unfairly.

This business gave me a quote for a hitch and emailed me a invoice. Upon arriving at the location the invoice was not honored and was charged more money. The owner seemed unconcerned that I was unhappy. Although the hitch is installed nicely the business itself was should honor the quotes given to the customers or more accurately give their quotes.

The billing process is a nightmare the store manager was very rude to my wife yeah they took money out of the account that they said they weren't going to take an hour, is overdrawn because we didn't transfer enough money because they don't know how their billing them actually works

This is the second time in the last 6 months I have used this location. The service is very slow for pick up. I checked in online, then was told to do all these things including: finding my own truck, taking photos of truck, mileage, and gas, then had to go back into the building to get the key only to walk all the way around the building to find a guy to get dolly we requested then take it all the way back to the truck. Took over 25 mins to just pick up the truck. There is not enough staff helping to get people in and out.

OVER 2 hours to pick up a pre-rented trailer. My Rental pick-up time was at 10AM..knowing that it was a weekend I showed up at the location a little after 9AM. When I arrived there was an extremely long line. Again, understandable for a weekend. What was unacceptable was the urgency in which both Howard and Nicholas were moving to help both me and the other customers waiting. Once I was finally helped it took over an hour from the time I got to the desk to the time the trailer I rented was hooked up and I was able to leave. This was after I had to point out that the 4 point plug on the trailer was half ripped off...even though it had been inspected. After wasting more time and eventually getting everything squared away I was finally able to leave after 11:15. In addition your website told me to go to 376 N harbour city blvd and not the 438 address listed above.The final trailer I received was clean and had not electrical issues. My dropoff location in Manassas VA was great with helpful employees. I think I was there a total of 5 minutes. Great service on the back end.

The tracking of the containers and administrative part of the u-haul rental experience seems to be disconnected. Multiple phone calls to uhaul about on 9July lead to eternal hold or disconnects.
