The location was a little jammed, but workable. The guy who helped me was polite and pleasant. No complaints. The trailer was a little dinged-up, with some stuff spilled on the left inside wall, but it was not sticky or wet. Overall for my needs the condition of the trailer was fine.

undecided if I would recommend. The truck was given to us with zero gas in the tank. There was no walk around pre-inspection of the vehicle ( I was concerned about being blamed for existing damage on the truck). We were told where to find the truck and drove off. The returned process was much more renter friendly.

We came 15-20 mins late to pick up a 15 foot UHaul, but were told the 2 dozen blankets ordered were not available. This was essential for moving antique furniture with lots of glass. However, they were able to locate blankets for us once we let them know that we needed them. It delayed the pick up another 15 minutes. The people we worked with were friendly and accommodating in spite of the hiccup, though! The other concern is the cab was particularly smelly, presumably from the previous ride.

Initially scheduled appt. week in advance, upon arrival - part not at location. Was told that I would be notified. A week later after no call, I called - part is available. Rescheduled. Dropped off car at 9am, was told to expect car by 2pm (will call). After no call, I called several times, rolled over, at 4pm customer service said car is ready. Upon arrival, car was on rack, but ready. In summary, poor customer service.

I was given a dirty truck with trash and cigarette butts in the cab and ashtray. I was also given a truck with only a quarter of a tank of gas. Over not positive experience

The application that allowed me to drop off the truck after hours required a lot of information, and when it came to the last step, it refused to process my turn in. I tried the alternate approach and that also didn't work. So I left the key in the slot hoping everything worked well enough.

Con artists! 2nd time renting a panel van in a month and having them list the gas level over a 1/4 tank less than actual then charging us for it upon return. Thankfully I noticed and took a picture to prove my case. BEWARE! Take a picture of the mileage and gas gauge together and thoroughly review and check the details of the contract.

Uhaul was great. I had to call twice and change my appointment because my move took longer on the front end and the back end. Both times your staff was competent and super helpful. Great experience especially with staff at the location and on the phone.

I highly commend the customer relations of employee Mike Tilberry who helped me. He went out of his way to be polite and helpful beyond what would normally be expected when a situation arose which was a test of that type of interaction!

Should Honor the Rental rate is for 24 hrs! Not asking customer to select rental hour usages and then shortened or changed the request rental hours after customer reserved the rental! And not release the equipment if customer does not agree to shorten rental hours! This is not treat customer with respect! Customer paid the full price and could only use the equipment for only few hours a day is definitely like being ripped off!

Was the worse experience of my life. The night before the move they call to raise the price and they call again the day of the move to charge more money . They said if I don't agree to pay more then they wouldn't do the move. I had to agree because i had the truck rented ,when day come they didn't have a dolley thst i have to provide it my self.one of them left to rent the dolle and took a long time, we had to help her with the boxes the whole time, they didn't finish . Very unprofessional

The pick up time for me changed numerous time with min 24 hours of the original pick up time. I was told by two different people I could pick up at my requested time without any issues and that time was changed after each time. Eventually I was able to pick up the truck an hour and a half after my requested pick up time but it was extremely difficult to make a plan. I will never use uhaul again because it was so frustrating.

The customer service was great but that truck felt like it was falling apart. Everything else about the move was excellent but the truck was a major part of the move and the suspension, the rustiness of the cabin, and the overall feel of driving that truck was aweful. I have driven similarly sized vehicles before, drove one from Chicago to Philly once, and I was more nervous during this 1 hour drive for my move than I was for that 13 hour. Terrible truck. Good customer service is what is keeping this from a 1 star

Make sure they have items in stock that you request online to help with the move before you show up and say they don’t have any. It’s making a reservation for the items. If you show up and they didn’t reserve the items they should let you know. What’s the point of online ordering and checking in

The people are great working well under high demand especially at this time of year. The siting and entrance/exit on Rt 30 is an issue particularly when returning at the end of day.

We took the Uhaul and returned on the same day after office hours. After two days, we got email from Uhaul saying that they couldn't locate the vehicle. Spoke to customer care and they said would reach the location and someone would get back on this, but no one reached out to me. Also it's been hard to reach people in that specific location since it is going directly to customer care when we called them. I feel this issue has to be resolved

Better explanation of the after hours return procedure. We had to call and try to get help. Every time we entered the info it stopped and said it was invalid. The person who answered was not helpful. Eventually we were given the correct info and were able to start the return process twenty minutes later. Once I had the correct website and the contract number it was a simple return.

Received a call the night before my reservation (20min before they closed) that they didn't have any Hand trucks. I had to run out and buy a hand truck the sane night so I could move. When I picked up my truck there was a windshield sign still setup inside the cab. Not a huge deal but still an inconvenience. But nothing compares to how terrible uHuals 24/7 pickup and user interface works. Good Lord never again will I use uHaul solely based on that experience. I set my pick up for 6:30am,l and filled out all info that I could days before my reservation so I could avoid any hassles the morning of. Well that was a pipe dream. They require either a pic of your passport, a photo of your lease, an alternate contact, or an employer contact. They should be more forthcoming with what they require, since I usually don't carry my passport or lease with me at all times. Tried calling multiple people until finally someone very confused and tired answered the phone. The website crashed multiple times while uploading the photos they required. Was left unimpressed and annoyed by the experience and like I said earlier I'll be using another moving service next time.

I called the rental location to inform them of my needing the trailer a little longer than originally anticipated. I was not able to get an employee from the location on the line after 2 attempts. I received a call a few hours later from an employee who was abrasive and rude to me in reference to the rental. Rental was returned as agreed however never checked in as returned on time. This is not the first time this has happened. Actually its the 3rd time. Get Organized!!

After we got the truck to our home to pack the truck we realized the furniture pads we ordered were not in the truck. Also the pull out ramp was full of dirt. I ordered blankets to help protect furniture and appliances. I was on a short timeline with the 24 hour turnaround and needed to get our move done so we proceeded with the move because we needed to be out of our house . Because I was missing blankets I ordered some of our dressers and appliances not have dings and marks on them from the move. I was also charged for blankets even though I did not receive them.

When I arrived I checked in and was given a truck number. I asked an employee where my truck was and he told me it was “up in the storage unit.” I walked up to get my truck and saw that another employee was now driving it down to the main lot. I walked back down to get my truck and saw the employee give my truck to another customer. I showed the employee my reservation for that truck and he did not care, he said he would just give me another truck since my reservation never went through. After completing another truck rental I went to get my rental truck. As I went to back out of the parking spot the employee I spoke with proceeded to park another truck behind me, blocking my exit, and then walk away. This shop was completely unprofessional and I will not rent from U-Haul in the future.

Your advertising for cargo rental is misleading. The cost per mile varies at different points (from 0.29 to 0.79 per mile) and the 100 mile cutover to a different rate plan is not at all clear when making the decision to rent a van for one day.

We were supposed to rent a u haul right near west Chester university. I reserved April 1 for a May 11 rental, and called on May 6 to confirm. When we showed up at 9:00 and waited in line for 15 minutes, they then told us that the uhaul we reserved was damaged, and we would need to go to Malvern, so aggravating. Would have been nice if we got a call the day before, or better yet if the location we wanted to use would have went to get it for us, and have it waiting. Malvern location very crowded, 20 minute wait in line to pick up, and again to drop off. Because of the delay at Malvern, by the time we got back to west Chester we hit tons of traffic from graduation, so infuriating. Would not recommend either of these locations.

The air conditioning was inoperable and the vent blew HOT air straight from the engine. 500 miles with the windows down, very disappointing. The detent for removing the key is misaligned so it was a 30 second evolution every time I shut the van down and tried to get the key out of the ignition. It's one of the older vehicles.

.Since I was refused a final Price on my turn-in day.I had to wait 5 days to find out final cost on credit card. I calculated cost at about 1/3 less.The truck was filled and washed and cleaned. No problems occured. I definitely would have gone over and reviewed final cost if given it that day. Hesitant to go back.

Arrived for 9am appt. I was the only customer. I had to wait 50 minutes. Helper disappeared, we could not find them, I have no idea what they were doing. Customer line grew significantly for the hour. Everyone was upset. I reserved 2 dollies. They "did not have any" Was told they are "first come first serve". Gave me appliance dollies, ended up not working - the wheels were broken. I had to purchase my own dollies. This was a real issue for us as our home was far off the street. I think I should be refunded for having to purchase a dolly, after having reserved two.

Will probably ask for a conformation number for the reservation as my name wasnt in the computer at pickup. But that was resolved with a phone call and then everything went smooth that day. Will rent again.

I really believe that the truck I got this time was the original one. I haven’t seen controls like that in decades. The steering and handling were ugly. I’m glad it was just a short trip. I still gave an excellent review because the staff is fantastic and this is my third time renting from there. I’ll be back. Just don’t give me that truck. Is there a U Haul Museum? It belongs in there.

There is a substantial premium to move from a 9' van to a 10' box truck. It should not be more than twice the price. I would have have shopped around if I wasn't up against a move deadline. Also you should have credit card machines to process cc payments. Doing this manually is not efficient.

Total cost was quite a surprise. $ 1.59 per mile plus I buy the gas on a truck with over 93,000 miles on it seemed excessive. Advertised price is somewhat deceptive.

Ok, in the beginning of the rental a little crazy but smooth after I called ! Second the Indian guy is awesome ! Sorry not sure of his name ! But cool dude. When I returned the vehicle it was awesome and quick . The people that want to leave crazy reviews don’t tell the whole truth. Either that did something wrong or something out of place with is different! Anyway everyone so quick to leave bs but don’t take the time to tell what may have caused the issue. So one day I am Going to make a site that reviews the reviewers cause at the end of the day the truth lays in the middle! Peace!

I was not greeted when I arrived. The drop iff area was congested with vehicles parked randomly. There was only one person at the counter. Apparently there was another agent on the property but I never saw him. When the agent on duty finally acknowledged me he told me to drive the trailer to the back of the property to drop it off and someone would help me. No one ever showed ip so I dis the drop off through my mobile app.

I returned the truck late at night. I understand that this facility is a large U-haul facility. Parking was very tough. I am sorry if I returned the truck and parked in a bad spot. I thought I had set to drop my truck off at a separate location closer to my house. I had requested that but it is a 24/7 pick up and drop off locaton. My pick up location was not able ot use that with the bad Wifi

Not accommodating and told me two hours before my move that all my requested equipment won’t be available. Then they said don’t worry we won’t charge you for it as if they were doing me a favor for not charging me for something I wouldn’t have access to anyways. Zero on customer service

I am sorry that their was a lot of mis communication with this transaction. I was trying to exchange my trailer rented in Des Moines for a larger one to haul the equipment I needed back in. the desk clerk could not speak great English and when I could not rent the car hauler without a VIN number etc I asked if I could just then drop the trailer I had there and he said yes. I asked if he wanted to check my paperwork and he said no just drop the trailer where it is on your truck. Not renting me the car hauler incurred an extra $1000 in freight charges to me. I subsequently received a phone call from the Lancaster Uhaul location asking for more money for a one way trailer drop. I disputed that thought vigorously as the misinformation I received already cost me an extra $1000! So that's the sad but true tail. Guess things happen and would still do business with uhaul. The billing was totally screwed up. When I received my email receipt, the beginning and ending mileage was wrong, I was charged extra mileage above what I used and the gas tank level was incorrect.

Don't tell customers an install will take 1.5-2 hours when they schedule then tell them when they arrive that they need all day and the vehicle must be dropped off and picked up 6 hours later. I will never get another hitch installed at Uhaul. I'm going to my mechanic who will cost more but cause me less aggravation.

I had made a reservation days early before my move to have a 10’ truck and the day before my reservation I received an email confirming they would have the right size truck I wanted. When I went to go pick up the truck the U-Haul employee told me they no longer had the truck I wanted and gave me a larger size truck which made me uneasy to have to drive a big vehicle. I wish someone had told me the switch via either by phone or e-mail. The U-Haul employee also had a very strong accent which was hard to understand.

Hi. The trailer that i I received made our moving very difficult. One side of the trailer if you're looking in to the left had very nice rails that we are able to tie with to hold our items in place but on the right side of the trailer had very skinny narrow holes they made it very difficult to even push a piece of rope through to tie with. This made it very difficult to secure a load and make sure everything was staying in place also we notice some water that came through the ceiling of the trailer as we're transporting it was raining and this is why we decided to rent a trailer with a closed top to ensure that no damage will come to our items but that was not the case since it was leaking.

On arrival I was checked in very quickly by Harry and handed the keys. I asked him, is that it, and he said yes. I said I would return it in about an hour he said OK. When I arrive at my storage locker and opened the back doors the inside was filthy, there were chunks of dirt, bolts and washers every where and change (money) scattered throughout the back. The next morning, I received an email with additional charges for 2 scratches and 1 dent. I did not dent or scratch this van! I spoke with Angelo and all he told me was to call corporate. I called corporate and the Rep asked, was there a walk around before I took the Van, I said No. So now I’m trying to defend myself on these false charges. I can not recommend this place. If you have to rent from them please request a walk around before driving off the lot. They are not checking in their cars correctly. Just look at some of the other reviews. Lastly, Angelo pushes everything to corporate but he needs to understand that he is still a local business and here in EW township word travels fast.

Good customer service but vehicles break pads were little loose and also right side mirror doesn’t move making it difficult to adjust as per driver’s driving position. Also, I would suggest to provide third party insurance as well. I am very happy using U-Haul services but these are just a few suggestions to improve further.

The men behind the counter were helpful and patient. They were pleasant and accommodating. On the other hand, you can't see the service desk from the door. No one says "welcome!" or "I'll help you in a minute." You have to wait hoping they see you. A little visibility for the employees and an acknowlegment that you are there would make it a 5 experience.

Would prefer all vehicles have a full tank of gasoline this way the renter has the responsibility to do the same upon return. Plus when you rent you don't want to stop and get gas you want to get to your starting location ASAP.

While there were many newer vehicles on the lot, I received an older, dirty vehicle. I also cut my left hand on a piece of sharp metal in the rear of the van. These vehicles need to be inspected more closely before they go out.

Make sure equipment is checked in when returned. I recieved an e-mail that said I failed to return the trailer I rented. I used the trailer for about three hours and returned it to the same location. I don’t appreciate getting a message like that because someone failed to do their job.

Malver was GOOD BUT YOUR SYSTEM IS VERY BAD I was supposed to pick up in reading they did not have unit even though reserved online the staff, just the woman was rude, she said it was MY FAULT because I did not call ahead, I get why not there, BUT not my problem you system is BROKEN, you need to track you rentals REAL TIME and ONLY PROMISE things you can deliver, asked about your $50 guarnentee HA HA does not apply because um well aaah cause you did not talk to a person.... BS had to drive hours out of way to get trailer because had to pick something up UNBELIEVABLE bad

Drove from Malvern PA to Morgantown PA and back. approx. 60 miles. When i returned the truck the person checking me out was very flustered about something i was un-aware of. when I received my email receipt after i left I saw I was charged for 158 miles, more than twice what I drove. I called to ask if there was any way they got this wrong and they basically told me no way. After the call, I used google maps to map out my trip to get an exact number of miles i traveled. when I tried to call back less than 10 minutes later, they had turned off their phone lines and my call went directly to a call center. Will not be using this location again.

I was told the truck had a half tank of gas but it was dead on empty I had to clean all the snow off of it, windows and everything and then after paying the initial $76 i was charged an additional $250 when I only went 58 miles round trip they said i had driven 176 miles! Good thing I wrote the odometer reading down when I first got in the truck and then again when I dropped the truck off. Not sure what kind of scam Was going on but the reading was completely different. The manager there was awesome though and fixed my problem Immediately I wonder how many people this has happened too:(

The process was easy and the man working at the counter was nice, but the truck we got had a drivers door that wouldn’t shut correctly and the overhead door kept rolling and shutting itself so 2 people couldn’t be in at the same time because we’d get trapped with no way out.
