I reserved a truck at a location in Watertown MA, close to where I needed it. The day before my reservation I checked the app to make sure everything was okay and discovered that my reservation had been bumped to Malden MA without my knowledge, adding several miles of driving and a good deal more time commitment to my day. I tried to get it transferred to a closer location but there were no vacancies to rent a truck on the day I needed it, and I didn't have the time to find different arrangements since it was so last minute. All of the employees that helped me through the process were perfectly pleasant and made the experience as bearable as possible under the circumstances, none of the changes were their fault but they had the unenviable task of cleaning up the extremely disappointing change that UHaul made to my move that made the process so much more difficult, without alerting me to it.JOSEPH D.

Worst experience ever. I arrived to pick up a 10ft box truck under my sister's reservation. The female staff member said she needs to change the reservation under my name. I said lets just cancel the whole reservation and put it under my name only. This took 15 minutes to do and I got my keys and started walking to my box truck. The 10ft box truck had no AC and it was 90 degrees out. I had to go back in and tell her that the A/C doesnt work at all. She changes the truck out and says all set. I walk out and start the truck and she runs out saying that my whole order was somehow canceled. Another 15 minutes go by and we had to change the whole order again. I asked her if my sisters reservation was closed and canceled? She said yes and I left. I call my sister and she checked the Uhaul app and it shows that she was renting THREE 10ft Box trucks. How do you mess up this bad? I called the location and told her that my sisters account is showing THREE UHAUL trucks is being rented. She said it will fix itself once I drop the truck off. I called customer service and advised them what I mentioned above. The phone rep told me to hold on and SHE called the store directly. The phone rep walked this employee (same female malden location) through how to fix HER mistake that she made. Worst experience ever and will NEVER rent from this location again.DAVID Y.
The girl who checked me in was not a great representation. Very little customer service energy and charged me for a dolly I didn't use after I said to take it off my reservation. I read a comment about Nicole Taylor the general manager, how she doesn't treat customers with great customer service and I have to agree with that. Nicole treats every person that walks through that door like family. I've seen her time and time again come in on her day off. Greet guest by their first and last name and not only that build a bond with each person. Her team is an award winning team. I wouldn't ask for a better group of people. Nothing, the staff was fun accommodating friendly, had some laughs, easy to work with. During a stressful time in life moving after 23 years and messing up an order on line. The supervisor no questions asked knew I probably wasn't great with technology gave me refund and fixed everything. I also rented one of the newer cargo vans and loved it. Comfortable, clean easy to drive. I just can't say enough how impressed I was with this whole experience and your staff. Better costumer service!!!!! Lady in the office was very rude. She was talking to a friend of her that was there at all times while taking care of me. There where time when I didn't know if she was talking to me or her friend! I had made reservations for the 10 footer for this location and she just wasn't very helpful and kept say it wasn't there until I finally said maybe is you put my reservation # it probably show..... and that's when she actually realized it was the actual location. The only nice thing she did for was not charging me for an orange $7 dolly but before I left she said that I'm not charging you but if you don't bring it back I'll charge your account $80 dollars! My mother was very offended by that! She was with me at the office. I thanked her but, over all a very bad costumer service.!!!!ROBERTA S.

I had the storage unit for 2+ years and I cant speak enough of the staff. Everytime I went they were so friendly. And I hate ti say it but that doesnt happen alwasy at uhaul locations. My only feedback is that I had a top unit. Top unit's dont have an actually ceiling but more like a cage. Sadly when I cleared my unit all my belongings were covered in dust. Kernado Ducasse provided me with a pleasant experience with his excellent customer service for my truck rental reservation and return. His gregarious personality and eagerness to help are exemplary of what great customer service should be, especially when there is a great deal of hardship we are all dealing with during this pandemic. Kernado was swift to provide accommodations to ease the return process and promptly followed up with a phone call to close it out, even with a detailed explanation of the cost rundown in an email that was already sitting in my inbox. This place does not deserve even one star, WORSE customer service. I returned the truck at 2:29 PM but in the receipt they put 6:44 PM. At the time of drop off I requested to check the truck but she said everything is fine also she said she is really busy while there was only one customer on the line. They charge extra $25 for cleaning but I fill the gas and sweep the truck before I returned. Entrance door has mask compulsory sign but lady at the front desk has NO MASK. I call back to ask question about $25 but she was so RUDE to me and refused to explain. Worse experience in my life and I will never go back to this place. I DON'T RECOMEND THIS PLACE.UMESH M.

I went back to return the van and I tried for more than 5 minutes to put the key inside the key dropbox because the open was too small, it was really annoying to try to put the key inside because the buttons got pressed by themselves and I didn't want to damage the key. The only 2 things that probably can be improved are the elevator & the parking lot. The elevator was out of service 2 out of 5 times I went there, and unfortunately it was when I needed to move heavy items. There is no parking lot for customers cars. You either need to park in the bank across the street or on the sideline and if you have to carry boxes then keep in mind you will have to do several trips back and forth. Apart from these 2 things, everything else is excellent. Nicole is very helpful. There are units for every need. Everything is clean and well maintained. They messed up my reservation and no one wanted to fix it I Had to leave with a smaller truck on moving day and I had to spend more money because the amount of trip I had to do. The night before they called me to offer me a deal I hear him out and he wanted to give me a 15ft truck for 10 dollars I said no I can't He said cool the next morning a girl calls me and tells me sorry sir the 20 ft truck you reserved the heat doesn't work so we can't rent it and sorry we can't do nothing for you you have to go to the other uhaul down the street they have it for you. I got to the store and they don't have no reservation for me and no 20ft trucks either and she had left a note about me that wasn't to nice of her to do. So by telling you this so to teach your employees to be mindful off peoples situation and not be about money only I get it's business but don't screw with people on moving day when they expect to be moving. Nicole Taylor, GM, denied service and tried to transfer me to another store, this was due to a change in service that was not explained. Even after I accepted the terms of that store, she insisted in denying me service and was only resolved with at customer service representative that talked to Nicole to help me. Amilcar Ruiz, General Manager, of 124-126 Eastern Ave., Malden, and his staff have been amazing. Amilcar set up our nonprofit with a storage unit for our clothing drive fundraiser and when that one was filled, he gave us another, in exchange for a truck rental. He even coordinated with Luis Cardona, Jr., General Manager, of 420 Eastern Ave., Malden, so that we could have storage units until we deliver the clothing to Savers on August 29. Devine is a member of Amilcar's staff and has also been exceptional. He carried bags from the loading dock to the basement when the elevator was out of order. It was a heavy job on a hot day. It is clear that the staff are well-treated. When staff are respected by their manager, they work efficiently and have a great attitude.
