The girls are absolutely fantastic to deal with I didn't get the name of the girl who helped me (Asian decent I believe) but she went above and beyond for me. She went and got the van for me and brought it up front because I was having issues walking that far, so very thoughtful and sweet ! The other girl was so helpful too, she recommended the best moving straps to me and she only overheard my conversation with the sweet girl, she wasn't even serving meâ€¦. She even followed up with me about them when I returned the truck earlyâ€¦. I didn't get to use them and said that I could return themâ€¦. They were both amazing to deal with and gave the best customer service to dateâ€¦. I think I've used your company about 5 or 6 times in the past 5 years â€¦ and will be using your company another 3-5 times in the next year Thx so very much again !!!!GISELER M.

Uhaul Terrible experience. Received a confirmation email after placing my order with detailed instructions for arriving on time for the scheduled install. I arrived on the date and time this email indicated and was informed they haven't even received my hitch yet and that I should have waited for a phone call. Fast forward multiple weeks. zero updates about the hitch install and no ETA when I called. I ended up calling numerous times over the next 8 weeks before the hitch arrived. Each time an ETA was not able to be provided. I dropped off my vehicle one the hitch finally arrived. The installed was not able to figure out how to attached the hitch. I told them it was fine I would install the hitch at home and ask them just to install the wiring harness, as I had already paid for uhaul to look after the install. A few hours later I get a call say they are not able to figure out the wiring either. Frustrating but I said I would look after the install if that was the case. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I inquired about a partial refund for the install cost since the hitch nor the wiring harness had been installed. My request was met with a lot of push back and attitude , even blaming me for the difficulties they encounter when attempting the install. Very frustrating paying for a service that was not provided. In the end, I was refunded $55, although I had paid substantially more than this for the installation which I never received. Returning to my vehicle to leave, even more frustrated. My vehicle had interior trim pieces removed, wires all about, zero attempts to put the interior back together or even a basic attempt to keep the trim pieces and interior connector organized. Literally everything was just thrown in. The next day I realized my taillight had been almost completely removed and was only hanging on by the wiring for the bulbs. The technician didn't reattach the safety equipment they removed before I picked up the vehicle. I could have lost a tail light! The cost to replace this would have been $100s let alone the safety concerns of driving around without blinkers or break lights! Long story short stay far far away from Uhaul hitch install! They will damage your vehicle, jeopardize your safety, overcharge you for service they are not able to provide and blame you every step of the way. Terrible Experience! Never again!Adam S.

Front desk service was great no issues. However, the crew doing the trailer hook ups made a big mistake. Trailer light lead was too short. As soon as trailer straightened, came unplugged. Had to stop in Milton UHaul for them to give me an extension. Could have gotten a ticket or worse.Mike K.

When I called to create my rental of 6x12 trailer they asked for how long. I stated 3. - 4 hrs approx. I go in yo pick it up sat morning for 9am and the girl behind the counter stated it had to be back at 12. I said pardon. I got to push it back to 1pm. She stated that $150 charge would apply if I was late as this trailer was booked for 2pm. It was raining, I had to push out my own trailer, hook it up then drove it over for an ee to flick the wire harness against my truck. I asked him to be careful of the paint. It was 9.30 by the time I left your parking lot. After racing hard with my truck in the rain we made it back by 12.53. When I parked the trailer there were 3 other 6x12 trailers still available. This made me feel the girl at the counter told a lie. Why the time frame crunch. Customer in front of me had it for the whole day until 5pm. This was a very stressful day that didn't have to be.FRANKJJR B.

1 I rented a one way move. One day before I rented I was advised I would have to drive to my destination city to pick up the truck, impacting both my time planning and my fuel costs 2) I rented a furniture dolly as part of my rental, only to be told when picking up the truck that there were no dollies available. So I had to go buy one The staff at the location were great and did what they could. The corporate planning/scheduling process is ckearly deficient. I feel sorry for the location staff who try to provide good service in spite of the scheduling systemTerry G.

The truck was dangerous. I spent an hour on the phone just trying yo get through. Being on hold listening to the same message on a loop is torture. The truck had bad brakes and terrible suspension. They put the transaction on hold and said a manager would call before they proceeded to billing. No one called... Instead they billed me an extra $40. When I tried to call today the phone robot said no one would answer for 45 minutes. Take a look at how many times a year I rent trucks from uhaul. This experience has me thinking I'll go elsewhere. Your phone message says agents are dealing with other families. This makes it sound like someone at uhaul cares about families. A family in that truck is not safe. Nor is any family in any car on the road near that truckDONALDSCOTT M.
Saturday at 5 pm returns were backed up onto a busy Clark St causing a brief traffic tie up. Check in booth with sanitizing station should be further inside the property OR someone should be directing the returns onto the property and off the busy road. Young lady Kayla was super rude and not helpful. I asked questions about quote. Instead of printing it and explaining nicely. She raised her voice loudly and did not explain. I told her in the store infront of many customers. That is NOT the way to treat customers. Print something to show and explain do not be little your customers. She was rude to the man before me. I work for CRA and if tax payers called in with questions I would never ever in my life treat anyone the way she did. I will NEVER use uhaul again because of that.SARAH V.

Checking in was great the lady was super nice and friendly and explained everything to us. Returning the uhaul was a nightmare. I had returned the uhaul 41mins prior to it being due back. I went in to the counter to ensure they knew it was back and while waiting in line the lady was extremely rude to the customer ahead of me who was having a difficult time due to the language barrier and the lady was blowing her off not helping her at all. Then another male coworker walks in this lady put her hand in his face and told him she didn't have time to listen to him or his concerns so he just left out the side door. Then I get up to the counter, the lady is extremely rude to me grabs the contract out of my hands looks it over and tells me I need to put the keys in the vehicles cup holder and says nothing else. I then go outside and do what she says and I asked the male coworker who was now outside if they needed the truck locked once the keys were in it and he said no. I then left since I had returned the truck. I receive a call approximately 1.5-2 hours later and this lady on the phone is extremely rude to me asking me where the uhaul is I then tell her I returned the uhaul over an hour ago. She then tries to argue with me that I did not bring it back. I then explain to her the lady at the counter and the male worker that I had spoken with and she then realized that another coworker was working on the return and the truck was in fact there. She never apologized or anything for being rude on the phone to me. The next day comes mid afternoon and they're calling me again asking me where the uhaul truck is. At this point I was already annoyed as I had to deal with these rude encounters previously and I had thought that it was taken care of the night previous. The lady on the phone apologized for the behaviour of her coworkers as she hadn't worked the day previous and said she would get it all situated and within 20mins of that call she had it all figured out and gave me a proper receipt. I appreciate all her hard work for doing her job and rectifying the situation. Unfortunately due to the incompetence of a few workers at this location I would suggest going to a different location completely, I will never again rent a uhaul from this location in my life.ALISIAN D.

Also I booked a truck for 2 days over a week ago, but when I got there I was told I get a truck for 8hrs only. And if I'm late I'll be charged 150 dollars. Not at all happy with that.Neil T.

I paid the 19.95 base fee for renting the van and returned the car before the scheduled time, but I was charged an extra 19.95 on top because the time recorded on the form was 3:20. I spoke with a rep when I dropped the van off (5 minutes to 3:00 pm designated time) and she said I was good to go and to leave the keys in the cupholder - I assume I was charged an extra 20 dollars because the car was registered as arriving late.Allen W.

My experience with Uhaul has been terrible. If I ever move again I definitely would find other alternatives. We have rented multiple trucks the past few weeks and have spent quite a bit of money with them and then they slap me with a $30 cleaning charge after I swept out the truck and charged me for going over 6 miles is ridiculous, especially when they were to allocate me extra miles for returning their truck to the London location instead of where my final destination is. This means that they add in enough extra miles to their own location because I didn't not take the truck anywhere else then to move by stuff. The real stinger is the cleaning fee as we found in the back of their truck syringes and evidence of someone shooting up drugs in the back. If our move was short distance we would have returned the truck but we were short on time and needed to get moving right away so we cleaned it up and used the truck. I have expressed my complaint about the charge and never received a response. I also have pictures to back this up. Never again rent with Uhaul.HEAMANDA T.

The place was located conveniently, and the person we dealt with was very nice. The system was giving her problems with our drop-off location. The first reservation, I picked the dropoff being on Dougall Avenue in Windsor, but when we got here, it was no longer the drop off. She changed it, but was having problems doing so. In addition, we did not need to pay $30 for extra insurance as it was covered by our existing car insurance. This left us feeling that you were trying to take advantage of us. Why would u-haul want to leave their customers feeling that way? This felt like nickel and dime-ing us.IANM B.

I got a free upgrade in trailer size because they didn't have the small size, that I wanted, available. Return was a breeze. My order hasn't been closed for 4 days and I have to call three times and waited for at least 4 hours in total to get the order closed and the receipt for an order is incorrect than the one they gave me. Worst customer experience, the branch will put you on hold without even talking. There is no feedback nor the call/email for closing so basically, you have to follow up and in the end, you will see incorrect charges so you have to call back again so it's a never-ending process.Nipun B.

Have an inspecteur to go around your different locations and inspect the equipments. customers when they book in advance an equipment for a specific day and time, the equipment should be checked, in advance before handing it out to the customer. Parking was a problem. I believe people other than customers who were renting a unit were parking their cars in front of the storage building leaving me with no place to park except for the disabled parking spot which is considered illegal parking. Found out after renting the unit on 2nd floor and arriving in London with my things there's no elevator on the premises and had to pay extra for a unit on the ground as stairs would have been a problem.
