Avoid having customers having to walk around a maze of moving boxes to get to counter and back out. Also, stress to your employees the importance of personal hygiene.

I dropped my car off at 1pm, was told 2-2 1/2 hours it would be done. Was assured I would get a phone call when finished, even double checked the phone number. At 5 I called to see if it was done, “ya, it was done a while ago”. No one called. Different guy at desk when I picked it up, something got lost in the shift change.

The check in time is aweful. Every time the U Haul employees complain about their slow PC's and they always lock up. It took four attempts to check me in. I also do not understand why they have to take pictures of my divers license to up-load and then tell us not to worry that they delete the picture from their phone. That does not give us any confidence that their are deleting the picture or their phone is hacked or compromised. U Haul is a great product and we use them a couple times annually. U haul must be the #1 truck and trailer rental company. Being #1 means you need to keep doing better. Slow PC's and not using scanners is a patchwork of outdated equipment.

When I entered the building, there were no employees. I stood there for 6-7 minutes before an employee came in. They also made no mention to me about how to record scrapes/dents on the vehicle. It wasn't until I drove away that I got a text message from uhaul saying to click the link to view the current damages or add new ones.

They took 200 for a deposit and he was only supposed to take 100 and they told me that it would go back on my card right away and it didn’t. They need to find people that know what they are doing!!!

Quick, easy, and informational. Total miles were calculated wrong and cost me additional money. Not sure why that happened??

give the inside dimensions for the trailers and trucks. I rented a 4x7 trailer and I had an item that was 44" wide only to find out the trailer inside dimensions were 41"

Add a snack & juice machine. Some customers get so busy moving they don't take time to eat. A light snack is good & a quick source of energy. At Les Paul U-Haul in Waukesha these 2 staff members were very helpful, kind & polite. The G.M.-Tim S. & Ben. That speaks well of U-HAUL.

It took 3 hrs to install hitch, wires were not properly secure to connectors so they simply fall out, several clips & screws were not reattached in the trunk (lost?), also damaged rear tail light lens, the wire running from the engine to the rear is just dangling inches from the road waiting to get snagged. They won't let me come in to fix the wiring for another 4 days. Took about 24hrs for someone just to call me back. No, I don't recommend.

The location is large and staffed pretty lightly, had to look around for help- they were helping other clients and not in the store. Once I found someone, they were super helpful and thorough when assisting.

It was the worst run business I have ever seen. Everyone in the line would agree. They all voiced the same frustration. They wouldn’t even answer their phone. It was pathetic. It’s not the fault of the two employees, they should have had at least four people but they had two. They were unable to safely connect the trailer to my truck. Read the reviews on yelp. The owners of this company CLEARLY do not care

The self check out was not very good. As we tried to use it the system would not except the information. it keep saying that mileage was incorrect.

Poorly managed, terrible wait times, completely disorganized and understaffed. After going to the Uhaul in two locations, it was clear to us that Uhaul doesn’t do a great job of paying or hiring good talent and representatives for their company. Never again. We felt genuinely bad for the two gentlemen working at both locations, it seemed like they were very overwhelmed and poorly trained.

They only cleaned their bathrooms maybe once a month. They were nasty and out of soap and paper towels for a majority of the time I had my storage unit. Everything else was fine.
