I was double charged on all fees. The safe tow, safe move etc. I had the equipment for 5 hours and was charged double what I was quoted. I have used uhaul for years and I won't be back. This is ridiculous. I will be disputing all charges with my card until I get some resolution.Chad F.

Return check-in was a bit confusing, only because the phone message told me to use the link to verify the return or U-haul would verify it for a $20 convenience fee, but there were employees at the return tent who said they'd handle the return details and I'd get the receipt via email. When the receipt didn't show up for a few days, I was concerned that I'd be charged the $20 fee, which turned out not to be the case.James K.

I did check in via the app and that went fine. The challenge was when I was returning I couldn't find any prompts to see how much fuel to put in it. I know I hand checked the actual fuel leve against the app during check in but couldn't find that as an option at the gas station to remember how much to add. Either add that as an option for an â€˜In Process' rental or prompt the customer to take a picture during check in.MARK B.

I was maybe 30 minutes late on the return and later found I was charged an extra day. This is the third U-Haul truck I have rented in the last 30 days plus a storage unit. I dropped this 15' off and picked up 10' at the same time. Traffic and wrong turns affect arrival time when you think you will get there in time. I think this is extremely poor customer service and U-Haul will not be my first choice next time I need a rentalEdgar H.

So, we had a problem with getting the running lights working when we turned on the headlights. The employees did as much troubleshooting as they could with what equipment was available, including trying another trailer. Mike and eventually the girl working the counter came to help. They had to turn us away from getting the trailer until we had the problem fixed. Yes, this was an inconvenience and very frustrating. However, they were more concerned with safety and even avoiding getting a ticket. They continued to do the right thing.jacob H.

The gas gauge was broke, it was not at 3/4 tank and the amount i had to put in to get it to the level it was supposed to be at was triple what the fuel tank capacity estimated gallon replacement. When I picked up the equipment I asked if dropping it off after hours would be alright. They said it wouldn't be a problem, it's done all the time. So I did. Now I've been charged $300.00 for some imaginary damage! I have photos of the thing where I left it sitting and there clearly is NO DAMAGE! Uhaul went ahead and charged my card the $300.00 without even speaking to me first! (Maybe I wouldn't notice?) VERY underhanded! NO WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!! I am without those funds until the dispute I filed is processed. Even with the photos I took and submitted! Corporate gives the store 72 hours to reply. U HAVE STOLEN MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT AND GET TO PLAY WITH IT FOR THREE DAYS???Steve R.

I would only recommend this location to a friend because it has a large variety of trucks and it has a lot of hours open compared to other locations in the area. I would not recommend it because the person training the staff member was phoning her over the walk-ie talkie when I was standing right there saying things like â€œtell them they have to clean out the back of the truck and they better fold those blankets or we will charge them a lot of money.â€ Tell them there's a sign that says we will charge them if they don't.â€ There was not a sign on the back that stated this the trainee and I both looked and couldn't find it. As a business owner myself I found the whole experience with returning to be an unprofessional mess. Hopefully this helps future customers.Jacqueline F.

We had to move from Lenexa to Leavenworth and the damn truck has a governor and we could not drive over 55 miles an hour. The truck itself needs work on. It took us almost double the time to drive there and it was a hassle. I recommen that the truck be worked on.Richard N.

There was initial confusion between the call center and the locationâ€¦The call center sent over the wrong information so they weren't prepared for us the first day but once we dealt with this location everything went smoothly and actually was done more quickly than we anticipated. The representative who helped me get the trailer did an outstanding job! The tail lights on the trailer were not working and she found that one of the fuses in my car was blown and she helped replace it. She fixed the problem and got me on the road.Tom W.
I was greeted by an employee who was filling air into trailer tires. He stopped his task to complete the drop off process for me, and he gave my guidance on how to handle my complaint of being upcharged by U-Haul for their atrocious pick up process that refused to accept my ID photo, caused my phone to die, subsequently registered my pick up process complete (it wasn't) thus losing the option to pick up which forced me to modify my reservation WHICH THEN CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $60 TO RESERVE THE EXACT TRUCK ONLY MINUTES LATER. Still have not received a call from the regional manager. But once again, this location was great.CARL B.

I have been doing business with the Marshall Drive location, even though it is a few miles out of my way, because of the team at this location. The manager and his team are friendly and helpful. One suggestion: It's not always easy to keep receipts, so a little improved understanding would be helpful, when a customer needs to return unused boxes. I had misunderstood the sizing online. So we went to the office in hopes of getting a bigger unit. I feel awful I didn't catch the guys name, he had blonde hair and black glasses. When I rented the U-Haul truck to move one way, I was explained that I would have one 10x15 unit. I said to myself great this will work. I can get through and work with my stuff. That didn't happen when I got in. They gave me three five foot units. No place to put a table to work with things or anything else. It was disgusting. Yeah I was just number. How about that famous saying? Oops, sorry about that. Staff was polite. Walking from the office to the storage units. Talk about trip hazards and hazards. Building was clean. Lights worked. They didn't fix my 24 hour access, so three nights in a row, after having surgery, I was forced to move myself due to movers getting tired of not being able to unload my truck. No one answered the 24 hot line, emergency line, nothing. I've been trapped in their elevator at least 3 times. First two times, no answer on the ejector emergency line, not the facility, nor the facilities emergency line. Took 3 calls on the elevator just to get someone to answer, then they act as if it was just normal. My work schedule didn't match with their facility. To keep me from getting more frustrated with them, trying to just get me out of his face, he told me I would be reimbursed for the days not used, if I excited before the next bill. Then the same guy turned around and said he didn't say it upon my move out. NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THAT FACILITY AGAIN. but the one on BLUE RIDGE, NOW THAT'S MY SPOT.Ronnie M. | Overall Experience

I like that I didn't need to check in with anyone but the check in and out keypad system was unclear and confusing. I could barely read the words on the screen and ended up accidentally setting off an alarm because I didn't understand what to do. I think an app (with very clear instructions upon download) that allows you to tap in with your phone instead of having to use a keypad would be better. It's also going to be difficult to keep track of the code since it's not something you get to chose yourself. Elevator was broken, there are 3 keypads to get in, but only one is the correct one for registering unit, unit was located in the farthest corner without any notification ahead of time. Wasn't able to switch to any other nearby locations due to availability. Waited a long time to check out because staff seemed unable to help people ahead of me. Many customers were frustrated....one of U-Haul's clerks kept repeating she ''was new'' and couldn't do that. Staff was under-trained in my humble opinion. In Feb. communication w/Uhaul drop-off sites was not well stated. On-line and by phone only info we could get was that there was NOT a drop off station near my new address.
