The Appliance dollie that I rented had worn wheels & we had to be very careful as it kept falling when not in use. The first time was a close call to being knocked out. That dollie either needs to be maintenanced or replaced. Also, it would be nice if these Appliance dollies had quick release straps instead of the current buckle straps.

Truck was low on transmission fluid. The person who assisted us was extremely polite and trying to help. He could not find transmission fluid anywhere on the property. We previously rented trucks which were very low on engine oil. Lack of service of vehicles at this location AND the Kaliste Saloom location seems to be a chronic problem. I would recommend this location to a friend based on the young man named Solomon at this location. Service your equipment better - it will save you money.

This entire rental experience was horrible from start to finish!!!! I reserved the truck at the location closest to my house. I received a call the day before to tell me that my reservation was transferred to another location way on the other side of town! I was really pisses because I am convince that this is poor customer service and just a way for the company to make more money because I end up paying way more in mileage. I was told the location to pick up was in front of the Acadiana Mall. When I arrived there, they were trying to send me to another location even further away!! I refused and asked to switch to a van. I called customer service several times to get compensation for the additional miles. The first guy said he was going to change the rate to 79 cents per mile, which is what I was already locked in for when I made the reservation. I looked up my confirmation email and confirmed that I was correct!!!! I called customer service back again and she agreed to put a note and email to have someone call me! No one was able to resolve my concerns even asking to speak with a supervisor several times! I would like someone to call me as soon as possible regarding my concerns!!!!!!

I showed up at my scheduled time, 9am on Sunday, which is apparently right when the location opens. I waited in line until almost 9:45, due to the fact that there were only two employees, and it was first come first serve, regardless of reservation time. I elected to get a ultimatum dolly and a dozen furniture pads, but they were not put on my truck. Upon returning the truck, I let the employee know and he said “yeah, I noticed that, I’m not going to get into why they didn’t put it on, but we have been busy all day”. I assumed I would have been given a refund for the items I did not receive, but it showed up on my receipt anyway. I had a busy day of unpacking ahead of me after my move, so I did not have time to go back and get this rectified.

I made a reservation two weeks prior to the date that I needed a u haul. I received a text message stated that I would have to go to a different location 2 days before my pickup day. Long story short, poor customer service and they gave me the wrong size truck.

Customer service at the location was great. However, my particular vehicle needed to be taken out of commission. Suspension was shot, and when I would drive over 55 mph the A/C to include the fan would cut off. So for 4 hours I drove with no A/C.

I rented a trailer and a appliance dolly. I pulled out the parking lot and was notified the reason I needed the trailer had changed and I didn't need the trailer. I turned around less than 5 minutes later and asked that they refund or partially refund my rental. I was told no because I pulled off the lot. That is ridiculous and with that kind of service I will find some other source for my moving needs when the time comes up. It was obvious that nothing had been used and the ink was still wet on the paperwork. Will not be going back.

Trailer was too small. I tried to get in contact with this location and was rerouted to main office. The main office helped me with my situation and the local dealer in New Iberia was willing to go above and beyond to help us. The Lafayette location would not provide information when I said what the equipment was being used for but New Iberia location helped us out

Perhaps being honest with customers would be a good start. I was overcharged for miles I did not drive. The reason? Your clerk had the wrong starting mileage on the contract. I was told I drove 244 miles in a five hour time period. I only drove 115 miles. However, I did not take a picture of the starting mileage. So your word against mine. I am disappointed in this, but I will pay. I will also make sure to let everyone I know about my experience. Erin the girl behind the counter needs to learn customer service. She wouldn't even look me in the eye because she knew she was in the wrong and your company was in the wrong. I wish you well in future business endeavors. I thank you for pretending to care about what I have to say about my experience with what I thought was a reputable company.

I rented a truck on a Friday afternoon. They told me it had half a tank of gas and to return it with half a tank. When I got into the truck the guage was at 1/4 of a tank but I didn't want to cause any headaches and I filled the tank and went about moving. I made 4 trips hauling furniture and such and drove 80 miles. I originally paid for 2 days and got everything accomplished within 24 hours. I brought the truck back and apparently their odometer reading was incorrect as well. They tried to charge me for 221 miles which ended up being $311 (considerably more than the $178 I was quoted for renting the truck and dolly for two days and quote of driving 50 miles). I told them I was not paying for 140 miles that I didnt drive. They told me the manager would take a look and get back to me. The manager finally contacted me trying to "give me a discount" and charge me $230. I told him I was not paying that. I already paid extra money for the gas. He told me he could either charge me the discounted price of $230 or just keep the original $178 (which should have been less considering I did not keep the truck for two days). I will not be using this location again in the future. They can not keep their records correct and try to fuck over the customer. The worst service I've ever been given.

Train employees better. Took over 20 min to get checked in, and I had already reserved online. Guy had no idea how to put in a gift certificate and called 4 different people and no one answered. Finally got it taken care of when we checked the truck back in. Also, rates are higher compared to other companies. But we went with uhual only because we had the gift certificate.

Uhaul truck was rented out with a bald and blown out tire. Cost us an entire night of moving while waiting on roadside assistance to come and replace it. Rented from this exact same location in the past and had no issues, totally dropped the ball on this location and it could have been very dangerous if we planned to take it on the highway right after rental. Life threatening potentially. Joke of a rental location and will not rent from them ever again after this incident.

The part for my wiring harness wasn't in stock. They discounted installation of a different harness. This was good. After being an hour and a half longer than promised, the tech told me he was testing the install. He said all was good and I left. 2 days later, I went to get my trailer at a different location. Lights didn't work. The owner checked the wiring and said it was installed incorrectly and there was no possible way it could have been tested successfully. He corrected the problem and after a 45 minute delay, I was on my way. Mistakes happen. Lying is inexcusable.

I rented a trailer on May 7. Brett was absolutely amazing! He was super knowledgeable about the rental procedure and went out of his way to assist me. He always had a smile on his face, and I was very impressed with him. I ended up not being able to move my lawn mower; it was about 3-4 inches too big. I was not able to return trailer the next day. So I ended up keeping trailer 2 days. When I went in to cash out, the CS rep asked if I had any problems I told him that I actually couldn’t use it at all but unable to return previous day. He took one day off for me when I was expecting to pay both days. I wish I could remember his name. Super impressed with overall experience and professionalism of CS reps, and will continue to rent from U-Haul at this location. Thank you

The pickup location I originally picked did not have the truck I wanted. So I dont know why I was able to choose that location in the first place. Secondly, the only location with my truck was 30 minutes further than the one I chose. I don't understand why I had to drive to a different location instead of the truck being moved to the location I was able to choose in the first place.

We reserved a car trailer an appliance dolly on Tuesday. When we arrived on Saturday am we were told no dolly available that the location doesn’t look at the reservation until we arrive. Then they ran my card 4 times. We had to rent a dolly from Home Depot. Not professional at all and we use this location a lot. Well not no more and will tell all my friends not to use this location again.

The customer service representative I spoke with to rent the van was excellent and really went above and beyond to help us. Picking up the vehicle was quick and easy. Vehicle was in good working order but interior was smelly and dirty. Overall great experience though.

I recently rented a 15' truck and an auto transport at the Lafayette Ambassador location. After returning the rentals, I was charged over $330 after the original $105.95 was already paid. I called the location to inquire why the charges were there (and so astronomical) and was told there was damage to the auto transport trailer. I was not notified that they found damage nor that they would be charging this large sum of money to repair the claimed damage. After further review, they realized the damage was there prior to my renting the equipment. While I will be getting a partial refund for the "damage" charges, I am very displeased with the way this situation was handled. I find it very unprofessional that they first did not feel it necessary to contact me when the damage was found and they would be charging me over $330!, and that it was later found the damage was there prior to and was not noticed or noted on the contract or to me-the customer before the equipment was rented out.

Everything was good today. It's just that I wanted to rent it last night to get my furniture from across the street at Big lots to the house on Aster Dr. And bring the truck right back. But they didn't trust me enough to let me do that. I guess because of previous customers experience it wasn't happening. Everybody is not the same. But I understand business is business. Even though I had to take an extra day off work to do today what I could have done in less than an hour last night. I had good customer service today. Thanks to the crew!!!

Actually, my issue is with Uhaul as a whole. I am going to attempt to explain the cascade of issues I experienced over a few days. 1) I called to rent a covered trailer. I wanted to pick up at the Ambassador location. Originally, I was going to rent a 5x10 trailer, but they did not have one at that location and they wanted me to pick up at the Kaliste Saloom location. I did not want to drive there, so I ended up reserving a 6x12 trailer because they had that available at the Ambassador location. When I opened my email the next morning, I noticed the reservation was for the 6x12 trailer, but had been either changed to or incorrectly reserved at the Kaliste Saloom location. I promptly called, and was told they did not have a 6x12 at Ambassador. I cancelled the reservation. 2) the next day, I called and reserved a tow dolly to be picked up at the Ambassador location for 7:30am. I got the email, and the reservation was for 10am. I called and made sure it was changed to 7:30am. I picked up the tow dolly the next morning. It had oil on the area where the front wheels of the vehicle being towed would rest. There was orange plastic from the gender ground onto the inside tire wall on the right side. And later I found that although the turn signal and brake lights worked, the lamp on the right side did not illuminate when tow vehicle headlights are on. 3) I received a call from the Ambassador location that evening which went to voicemail. The message stated that I had reserved a tow dolly with them and their computer system showed that it was still on their lot. I was asked to call them back to clarify what was going on, or if I still planned on picking it up. When I returned the call, the person I spoke to stated that everything was fine, it showed up in the system that I had picked the dolly up, and they were sure whomever had called me had probably figured that out by that time. 4) I was scheduled to return the tow dolly to the Pollock location. I called that location to get landmarks in order to find it for the return. I was told that they already had several tow dollys and could not accept my return. I was told to try either the Ball location, or the Pineville location, but since it was before 9am and the Ball location was not open yet, I would be better off going to Pineville because the Ball location had a narrow entrance and the only place to leave the dolly would be in the way once they opened the gates at 9am. So, I go to the Pineville location. Before I can get out of my vehicle, I see a man walking out to meet me. I think,” wow! Prompt service! I got out to meet him, and I am told they cannot accept the dolly. The man stated they don’t deal with those. I got on the phone to Uhaul and expressed my discontent with the situation. I was placed on a brief hold while the oporator tried to find out what was going on. While on hold, I noticed the man get in his van and leave. The oporator came back on the line and st
