Staff very pleasant. Pick up convenient. Had supplies I needed in stock. I wasn't told to look for a text to check vehicle out. Gas was 1/8 of a tank, not 1/4. Back of truck had lots of loose dirt- hadn't been swept out. Truck rode VERY rough, but don't have anything to compare it to.Lisa H.
I waited 15 minutes for someone to come out and disconnect the trailer. Yes they were busy but the had no one available for customers who just needed to drop off. I finally had to use the unhitch tool myself to remove the trailer.MICHAEL G.

Customer service was gruff but kind. Lord only knows what these people have to deal with on a daily basis, so I don't blame them one bit. Once I showed them friendliness and good humor, they showed it right back, and there was no bull corn and they were helpful and informative. Was given a contract stating rental total would be about $102 for 150 miles driven on the rental. Actual mileage was 134. However when I received the final bill, total was $145+. Called customer service (on hold for 39 minutes) Was told I was not given the "Best Price Guarantee" Was also charge an extra day rental for being 29 minutes late, I has estimated that I would return the truck 6 hours after I picked it up at 10AM. I did return the truck, a couple of minutes before 4PM, however the one employee in the shop, was across the parking lot helping another customer with the wiring on the trailer. Shop was left unattended for over 30 minutes while I stood there. 2 other customers came in, waited a couple of minutes and left. By the time he came back it was 4:32 and without saying a word I was charged for a 2 day rental. So now I fight for the correct rate given to me by U HAUL. Who needs this aggravation in their life?Keith H.

Good evening I want to leave a review to dispute a damage charge that I do not believe belongs to me. I returned the vehicle in the exact condition I found it in. I was never afforded the opportunity of a walk around inspection when I dropped it off and never did I sign any paperwork . I was told to just leave the vehicle in the parking lot and that it would be taken care of. An hour later I was told that there was a brake light missing. That did not happen when the vehicle was in my possession and the vehicle never left my view. I hope we can resolve this as I have always had stellar experience at all different uHaul locations.Francesca B.

We ended up in Kingston after the truck we were scheduled to pick up in Catskill at 8 AM was unavailable. That location does not honor the 24/7 option, despite that I was able to book it online weeks in advance. unable to log in on our mobile devices, we waited on hold to speak to a live person. Flew to Kingston when your phone operator changed my reservation. Our moving crew was set to arrive at 10. We were beyond frustrated, angry, and late...Marisa T.

Service was done promptly and professionally. I was a little irritated that when I showed up at the location to return the equipment, the associate quickly turned off the lights and went in the back room until I left. To be completely honest, I did show up at precisely 6:58pm when the location closes at 7. This did cause me to receive a $20 after hours fee which was charged to me at 7:19pm last night, meaning the associate was there to process it. If I was the associate, I would have come out and said ' you just caught me right in time, let's put that trailer over there" and then told them goodnight. I am not sure why this happened but it didn't feel right.Steven F.

While the overall experience was satisfactory, there was much room for improvement. As we entered the office we could not see the customer service person because he was hidden behind a tall pile of boxes and had not greeted us as we entered. He called out and he answered. He was however, very pleasant and helpful and definitely knew how to coach me through the sign up. The van I rented had 2 warning lights come on as I started it. Tire Pressure Sensor Fault and Oil Change Required. As I knew the sensor was not working I simply checked the tires which all looked OK and proceeded as I always have (never having had a car that notifies me of low pressure). The oil change warning was more concerning but I know that the gauge is often not reset even when the change has been done. I did mention this on returning the van, however, as I think for those less familiar with driving it could be worrisome. Since the CSR verified that the gauges are often not reset I thought it concerning that they do not address known issues. The van itself was very clean and drove well. I will continue to rent from U-Haul when a rental is needed but wanted to make note of what seems to be a less than professional approach to maintaining a good reputation.Elizabeth C.
Your phone system/ communications are terrible. Trying o contact you is unfair in the fact you have our stuff and its next to impossible you get any information. I have a billing problem, if I wait an hour maybe I can talk to a representative IF I get the right person on the first attempt.William L.
I would have been totally satisfied if they didn't milk us for 2 gallons of gas. We were very careful to bring the truck back with the same amount of gas we received when we picked it up. The 2 gallons was just a way to get money from us and of course we did not get the electronic receipt until after the truck was returned. sigh....Mark F.

The woman behind the desk was tapping away at the keys on a computer for several minutes while I was standing there waiting for service. I understand she was busy but a simple phase like â€œI'll be right with youâ€ would have made me realize she knew I was not being ignored. She was pleasant for the 8 seconds I needed to speak with her otherwise. I think some customer service training would be helpful I have owned a small business for the past 25 yrs and my customers are important to me. Doesn't seem that way to with UHAUL . Only reason I rented from UHAUL is my truck broke down and there wasn't a PENSKE nearby NEVER AGAIN UHAULtony G.

As it was my first time at this location, I had a little difficulty finding my rental van. The desk attendant told me in was in "row B". I went out the door and saw rows of vans to my right, on the side of the building, which is where I started looking. But I couldn't find the right van, so I went back inside, and the attendant walked out with me to a single van sitting on the other side of the building. I guess he thought I knew the layout, but I didn't because I'd never been there before.Michael O.

The U-Haul U-Box experience was great! From start in Southern New Jersey to Ulster County, New York, then finally to finish 10 months later in Westchester County, New York the experience was great! While I was pleased with the way the staff treated me, I was appalled at the state of the storage unit. The four was left open when I arrived, which I thought was to ease my move in. However, I quickly discovered that the door was off the rails, and bent, making it difficult to close. Additionally, the unit was absolutely littered with trash, especially a ton of broken glass and ceramics. I expected it would have at least been swept and checked before I moved in. Had I known it wouldn't be, I would have brought a broom to clean up before unloading. The broken glass was a safety issue, and the damaged door is at best disappointing, and at worst will make accessing my belongings difficult.DIANNE W. | First Impressions

When I moved out of the unit I went to the office to notify them I was on my due date when I moved out they were trying to make me pay for another month that my stuff wasn’t there they were very young courteous staff I had to explain to them blindly what was happening as far as maintaining those water leaks throughout the building the plywood has water damage and moose I think you need to look at the staffing in the maintenance staff of that building fixing problems and may be Relocate all the staff or re-train in better customer serviceRichard A. | Overall Experience

This facility had one large unit available according to their online inventory, I reserved it, and i paid for it upon arrival. Though there were only two free units left on the lot, the one I had reserved had mountains of garbage in it that had not yet been cleaned out, rendering moving in impossible. I did not move in to a uhaul storage facility, and am unlikely to try again. The staff arranged a storage unit reservation at another facility and that is the most I can say for my experience at Uhaul's storage facilities.Christina K. | First Impressions
