Honestly , the comment section is what's most important . The fact you got rid of the 17 foot trucks , makes it very obvious that you did it for the money so people would get the 20 foot trucks instead. Bad call. I'll be using another company from now on.

Reserved a 17', than was called to say it wasnt there but a 15' was. And than when I got to the location no truck was reserved for me so I had to take a 10' which turned what would have been 2 trips into 7 increasing the gas and mileage, also I requested a furniture dolly that was not given to me. Terrible experience all around.

I spoke to several UHaul sales representatives on the phone prior to renting this vehicle and informed the reps I needed it to move a piano. The check engine light was on, the truck was very reluctant to start and there was a thick layer of ice on the inside of the windshield so it took me fifteen additional minutes in the parking lot trying to get it to melt before I could drive away. Worse, I got to the location and then learned the truck didn't have a ramp as advertised on the website, so we weren't able to move the piano at all, and it was a complete waste of everyone's time and money. The UHaul representative reduced the final price of the rental but I still wasted several people's time, lost $50, several hours of my life in stress and planning, and now the piano I was supposed to be bringing my mother is scheduled to be destroyed. The salespeople I had spoken with on the phone might have mentioned the truck would not have ramp when I told them what I needed it for, and saved us all a whole lot of grief and disappointment. This was a really terrible experience.

Very small yard for a busy place. I waited an hour to pick up a trailer with only 4 people in front of me. The yard was congested and other customers were getting agitated. I returned the trailer to that location the same evening and then got a call the next day that they are inquiring about the trailer I still had out. I told them I retuned it to the exact parking spot I picked it up from.

Neither the person that gave me my key, or the person that checked me out, were wearing masks. That is a problem. I don't feel confident taking a key from somebody who doesn't have the common courtesy to wear a mask. Public health safety should be enforced.

I wanted to return boxes that weren't used and I was told no because I didn't have my reciept. The boxes have U haul printed all over them. To me that's dishonest. I said on your website that I could return Boxes that I didn't use and get a refund. Because of this I will never use u Haul again

Truck I had requested and confirmed wasn't available which presented serious problems. It was resolved by allowing me to rent the truck I originally wanted (15' instead of 20'). Had very helpful response from person in corporate.

U-Haul does not fulfill the terms of your reservation. I recently reserved a storage unit with them and upon check-in was told that there were no units available in the size that I needed.The staff couldn't have cared less and suggested I look elsewhere, so I had to find alternative arrangements on my own. I will never do business with them again.

The guys at the 848 Ulster Ave location were LIFESAVERS. After booking the truck and a storage unit online after our PODS unit came up short, I came back to store my stuff only to find out that the ONLINE service had overbooked the storage units and there was no place to put my stuff while my family and I waited to be able to move into our new place. The guys there worked hard to find any possible way to correct the mistake made by the online service, and worked with me to sort everything out to my satisfaction, even offering to help me look for other storage options. Because of their hard work and ingenuity, we wound up not needing to spend all the money on another storage unit and were able to complete our move with their truck just a few days later. I couldn't have made it through our move without the folks at 848 Ulster, and I've already been passing on our praise of them to local realtors and anybody we know who might need to use their services in the near future. I know I will not hesitate to call them next time I need to move.

When I called to make reservation, I asked for a pickup. One was not available, so agent offered a cargo van. I gave him measurements of item I was moving; he assured me it would fit. It didn't! So I spent $50 for nothing! I request a refund, please.

I could not find the key drop off box. I performed all of mobile return steps but ended up needing to go inside the location to return the truck keys.

Generally I have no issues. I generally rent a truck at least once a month for my business. Twice in recent months the trucks were poorly maintained and dirty in the cab. Today's truck had 113K miles and it took so much energy to keep it in lane on highways. It was barely able to go up elevated roadways... not mountains... just higher elevations. When I complained, I was offered $20 off the bill. I just want to know I am renting a safe and clean vehicle.

The key-return box was broken and I was Unable to securely return the key. I ended up entering the location to inform the staff that the box was broken. They seemed aware of the problem and told me to leave it in the box anyways. A bit dubious. Just fix the box.

I received a broken taillight with an out reverse bulb and fully packed the van before we noticed it. I had to deliver items to New York and would have most def gotten a ticket. I had to wait for roadside for an undetermined amount of time (girl was not able to get that it mattered) I was 5 hours late and when I returned it my rate from my quote went up.

There was a + - on the gear shift with no explanation as to what they were. There is a button for trailer towing . . unsure if it was on or off. I think a little walk through of the features would be nice. Truck was in great shape and a easy drive.

Talk to the woman running this location about customer service. We were not given much information about the charges in relation to the miles driven and I found it especially surprising that she did not ask to see the license of the driver...she did not have much of a pleasant attitude either.
