The lady that helped me was very nice to start with. Other staff members however came up and interrupted us multiple times about stuff that had nothing to do with uhaul or storage. I had ordered moving blanketsâ€¦ they were not ready for me when I was ready to leave. I had to wonder around two different parking areas just trying to put my key in random doors because my truck was in a totally different area then I was told. On top of everything the gas was not at the level that I was told it would be. I went back inside and requested the staff come verify the gas gage was inappropriate, was told to take a picture and I would be able to prove it later and was given no other help. I repeatedly asked the staff to come help me resolve the issue and was basically ignored. I received the text message to verify equipment 10 minutes after I left the property and when I attempted to fill it was told the link had expired.Abe R.

Although it was a smooth rental I was told the fuel gauge was on 1/4 tank. This by itself is an inconvenience to the customer putting the pressure on the customer when replacing the fuel before turn in. In addition, the fuel was actually on 1/8. I had to wait in line for the clerk for another 20 minutes to resolve this. Vehicle should be rented with a full tank.Harry S K.

The car dolly that we rented to go from Port St. Lucie Florida to Jackson Tn was portly repaired in the past. The passenger side lights on the dolly didn't work and The wheel well was rubbing on the tire and ate a hole in the wheel well and carved a valley in the tire 2/3 of the way through the trip. The issue added a lot of extra, unneeded stress to an already stressful move. The dolly should have never been issued out at it was not legal for travel on the roads. First the check in process was awful. I was Asked the same questions over and over. The women seemed like she had no clue what to do and mumbled under her breath the whole time as if she was talking to someone else. Then the truck we received was horribly maintained. The back door was wide open when we walked up to the truck. Trying to close it we figured out why it was open, the latch was lodged into the top of the trailer and the seal caught in the latch. After figuring that out we started it it sounded like a massive semi truck due to the horrible exhaust leak, my fiancÃ© is a mechanic and even to me it was obvious. When we found these problems we immediately went to the front office and brought up these issues. The only thing they had to say was â€œYeah we know, it came to us like that, we don't have anything else though.â€ And then walked to the back of the office. Once finished for the day and traveling a total of 24 miles we used almost 8 gallons of gas. Averaging THREE MILES TO THE GALLON! That is ridiculous considering we only took two trips to a storage unit with half full trucks. This is our first experience with U-Haul and to say it was disappointing is an understatement. Will try my hardest to NEVER use its services again.Jessica W.

Poor communication noted. First they could not find my reservation, luckily I had my email confirmation. They did not have my truck at location I booked it at. Had to drive to another location and my reservation had to be pushed back. Then I did not get the rate quoted to me at first (had to advocate for such). Upon return, I had difficulty checking it in after hours as they kept sending verification access to the wrong phone number, so I had to call wait on hold for 30-40 min to be checked in via phone. Then at the end I was charged another day when being told as long as the truck was back the same day or before open hrs. Poor service, even poorer trying to contact SOMEONE.latonia B.
I requested to pick up in Collierville Tn. I was later assigned to Jackson Tn. That's an hour and a half away. Also selected to return to Buckhead Ga. was then reassigned to some town in Ga. 2 hours away. I made the change and returned to Buckhead. Don't even think about hitting me w some BS fee. The lady I contracted with stated that if I brought the trailer back a day early (2 day contract) I would not be charged for the second day. She stated she needed it back because she had already contracted it out. Reserved trailer and morning of reservation we were told there were no trailers. We had to drive from Memphis to Jackson TN which is over an hour to get a trailer. Uhaul made no attempt to help offset costs.Tyler L.

U-Haul must improve your telephone communication system. I was on hold for a total of 45 minutes before I was able to talk to a person after I had a mechanical issue (battery). That is not acceptable. My strong suggestion is to either train your labor force to act like they care about the customer or to get employees that do.JOE D.

The truck was extremely dirty. There was another 10' truck that was clean right next to it, but they gave us the dirty one.Trevin J.
We had trouble finding both a 20' truck and tow dolly at the same location. We got a quote for this location and they tried to charge almost 700 more than the quoted amount which was valid for 48 hours. The customer service girl wasnt very friendly and her supervisor tried to tell us the rates can change at any time. So we called Uhaul who found us a different truck and thought they had the dolly. The lady where we went was very sweet. But the dolly wasnt the right size. So, we had to still get the dolly from this location. The general manager was nice and made sure we had good straps. But because of the other 2 employees, i would not recommend. I would recommend the location on E Chester instead or Jessica on the 45 bypassBrian P.

This location post operating hrs to 7pm. I arrived at 6:52 to observe the staff closing up ( looked right at me) get in his car and leave. This was 6/1/21. 1st of all they didn't have the storage unit I needed for my stuff, so they gave me 2 5X5's and limited the stacking compality due to the wall in between. I could not get a hold of anyone on the 800 line (on hold for 20mins at a time & tried several times)to ask about keeping the truck longer & didn't realize the protective charge & I tought It was only 2 days late and was charged for 3 days.PAULA M.

They girl that helped us (Kiki?) was super helpful but she had to call her manager for help because it wouldn't let her check us in and her manager said I'm busy doing something and she said well I need your help and the manager again said I'm busy and hung up.
