The physical location itself was fine. The 24/7 truck share was absolutely ridiculous. Kept giving me error messages and would not let me proceed with my transaction for no apparent reason. Then not only was getting someone on the phone from U-Haul the most time consuming it's ever been, even after someone got on the phone they still could not assist me and I had to wait 1 and a half hours until the store opened up to get my equipment. I think there should be a 24 hour 24/7 truck share team ready to assist at all times since this service actually is 24 hours a day. They also should be able to assist you to get your equipment over the phone if the person isn't able to do it themselves. I've gotten over 150 trucks since this time last year and have never had this problem before. Really makes me 2nd guess using you guys in the future.Jerome L.

Hello, the back of my Uhaul rental truck had a puddle of water in the corner. When I got ready to start my moving job I had to spend time cleaning up the water. Upon returning my Uhaul rental truck I notified the employees. None of them seem concerned and cared about my experience. I was also charged a gas fee after filling the the truck tank the same way I picked it up.Quentin B.

Took an hour to pick up truck â€" and that was only after I figure out how to check in using the online reservation system (please make it clear your location privacy settings need to be adjusted to check in!!). Never even made it to the front of the line. Horrifically slow line, no help, and when I finally got the truck it did not have a full tank or the equipment I paid for. Was disappointed with the lady who we get to help me at first. She made several mistakes in our reservation and if I did not try to double check for myself I would have been in a huge mess. Worst thing is that she was not interested to help at all, would also say she was rather rude. After I figured out what she did I went back to the store and was helped by Kandace, who thankfully was free at that time. She was just great. She listened to me and cleaned up the mess of the the other lady. Never saw the name of the rude and incompetent lady, just remember she had glasses and pony tail. Maybe Kandace can give her a lesson on how to do her job and not be rude when she can't figure things out.Alexander K.

The employee could not find my haul location in the system after I gave him the address. I was renting a one way trailer and I wanted to drop it off where I was unloading it, which was another haul location.Carol Anne M.
1. The pickup location was changed to this location which added over 25 miles to my total mileage. At $1.20 a mile and gas gauge that moves lower quite freely that jacked my bill up. This isn't the first time. Little sneaky way of getting a little more from the customer. 2. Upon arrival, I logged in to get the truck and follow instructions. There is no reason to identify where the truck is on the lot and then have to go back inside the facility to get the Keys. Dumbest idea ever! The facility was large and the truck I was renting was at the end of the parking lot. I had to find it, then go back to the facility, wait on keys, go back to open and finish checkout. After all that , still had to get items out the car which was by the building. Bottom line, checkout was over 20 minutes. I don't believe it saved anytime. I could have waited in the line at the building and checked out quicker. I rent large trucks regularly from Home Depot because of the checkout turnaround is faster.Dejuan M.

This location attempted to charge me hundreds of dollars for alleged damage to the truck, despite the fact that I was extremely careful and returned it in the exact same condition as when I rented it. I have moved with U-Haul several times in the past without incident, but this was absolutely ridiculous. I was redirected from my first U-Haul stop where I was unable to locate the keys properly and there was no equipment or manager to contact. I thank God to the next location which I was referred to by U-Haul associate and on the final bill they forgot to subtract a dolly that was not part of my deal and they charge me extra. I've used this location on many occasions. I used the mobile app for the 1st time. I brought the vehicle back 17 1/2 hours early so that they could put it back in fleet to re-sell. The app was having problems connecting, and it had a button in case that happened. I used that and went home and used my computer as well to close out the reservation. The next day I was still charged $20 for after hours service fee. So why use the app and why bring in back early?!?chris W.

He did try to get our agreement set up then informed us that there was no locker available even though we reserved one, more than a week earlier. The staff was very helpful. The wait time at the counter was over 10 minutes, mostly because there was only one person there most of the time. So first off, the storage facility was not the size advertised. The advertised size was 10x13x7. It was not 7 feet in height, it was more like 6 feet. This factored into my ability to store things and I wasn't able to store everything I had. This needs to be corrected on the website and reflected accurately otherwise I will report this facility and U-Haul to the BBB. Secondly, when I went to pick up my goods from the storage facility I found the process somewhat unwieldly. First, trying to park my 20 foot u-haul trailer in an area that wasn't blocking anyone and wasn't too far from the door was difficult as the pick up area was being used for truck storage and parking. Why were there so many trucks blocking the pick up entrance? People should be easily able to park and use that area to pick up their stuff. Also, the fact that the exit was routinely blocked by people returning trucks was annoying. Also, why were your employees using parking spaces for customers to access and pick up their goods from the storage facility. They shouldn't use these spots. Employees should park elsewhere. I rented specific sized unit because it was listed as 7 feet high. When I was shown the unit I reserved online, I mentioned to the representative showing the unit that it was not 7 feet high. The representative asked "Did you measure it?" That was a rude and condescending statement since he knew full well I had not pulled out a tape measure in the 30 seconds it took to walk into the unit and see how low the ceiling was. I'm not even 5 feet 5 inches tall and the ceiling was just above my head. I did not need a measuring tape to know that the unit was NOT 7 feet high, as listed. I again protested that the unit was shorter than listed. He said I would have to talk to the manager if I had a problem. Instead, I found a storage unit with another company that was the size listed and cheaper than the units offered by UHaul. The units are extremely small for the amount of money being charged. Door and lock constantly jamming and hard to open and close. Pinched skin and fingers several times. Marcus lost our reservation. He booked it over the phone and then failed to finish entering it on his end after the phone call. There was no record of the reservation when we got there (with movers waiting on us), but luckily they had a unit available of the same size. It still took us close to an hour from when we first arrived to when we could begin unloading the truck since we had to fill out a new contract, which messed up due to the credit card reader and we had to fill out all the information twice. There were lots of people waiting in line and many complaints that we heard from other customers about their storage units or truck rentals (we also had a terrible truck rental experience with uhaul - they kept changing and cancelling our truck in the few days prior to the move). Overall, I would never use uhaul again for truck rentals or storage unit. However, the person who checked us out for the storage unit was kind, so I don't blame him.Elizabeth B. | First Impressions
The truck was stolen. And it sat at towing storage for a couple weeks after finding out who stole it. I called several times to get information about where truck was at and everything. They were was supposed to call me back several times and never did. Then take truck back to there facility somewhere in Hyattsville Maryland with all of granddaughter belongings and expect us to go get it. Without them even calling and letting us know they were getting it when it was close to home in the first place. When I asked for a manager she pointed at the window and told me the number is on the door when I asked if she had the number she pointed at the door again despite the manager actually being in the back.
