Everything was pretty good; the only concern was that I was told I would be okay to charge my rental through my corporation having provided the credit card information over the phone. I was clear that I would not have the card in my hand when picking up the vehicle; tax exempt number was provided as well; however, I was asked for the card when I arrived; thus, I didn't have it…. Therefore, I had to use my personal card for a business purpose. That was unplanned due to the information I received over the phone. Otherwise, everything else was very good!
Kenneth L.I got charged 10.50$ for a gas charge. I filled it to right above the 3/4 tank like I got it but was still charged. The employee told me to go without verifying things right there. I put gas in the truck beforehand and still got charged. Bad experience.

I was charged $25.00 for a filthy vehicle I rented on Sunday for returning it dirty, the vehicle was very unclean when I took it. I never took any photos. Next time I'll do . I'll rather try another company . Thanks for your poor service and please refund my $25.00 to my account.

Both the Manager Henry and his assistance Jonathan lack professionalism and ethics to deal with customers in the right way. My rent was raised after a month of renting a unit and another increase in my one year of renting. So I am moving out with no accommodation for dumpsters to dump trash when moving out. Also when I rented the truck I was charged twice into my account and when I made enquiries Jonathan was rude and abusive for being vocal driving me out of the office. Your management team is a sham with poor customer service. You can call me to discuss further

I gave up on that when I started trying to call my mother for some kind of verification before I could pick up the truck. The touchless app checkin is worthless. Once I went inside, the people there took great care of me.
Richard D.The representative at the front, the older African gentleman was very rude during our interaction. I had just driven 8.5 hrs from the Carolinas to move in with a JH and AV worth of things after packing my whole house and leaving at midnight. He was not very friendly and did not seem to want to be there. He was very combative with me when asking for alternate contact information and seemed to not want to explain exactly what or why it was needed. He also told me he was doing me a “favor” by providing me with my free one month storage for my contracts which were separate. As a former recent Uhaul employee I knew I had the right to my units for the month. He also tried to give me a smaller unit than requested specifically when I asked for what I needed and asked that it was on the same floor which was already shown to be available. This type of behavior was not customer centered and did not provide me with a good check in experience.

They needed trucks at the Hyattsville location. I arrived to the location and had several issues returning the truck. The system was not updated to be able to return the truck to the new location. I waited an hour outside in the cold and in the dark until I was able to speak with a representative so they could update the address. It was a huge inconvenience and would like a representative to contact me regarding what you can do due to the inconvenience.

Sheila S. | Overall ExperienceMy storage facility leak in this from the ceiling and it was infested with rats or mice or whatever they were who ate into one of my furniture pieces, a large and comfortable chair that had to be discarded outside of that the staff was fine but my storage facility was in adequate. I do not have any dispute with the staff or U-Haul. I agreed to settle my account and that’s the end of it. The staff was cooperative and didn’t work with me to resolve my issue. I left the chair in the storage room so that they can see where the rat have a hole all the way through animals living inside the chair.
Nathaniel S. | Overall ExperienceI was not informed either via text or email that my order for equipment while renting a truck had changed. I paid for an appliance dolly along with a box truck. When I came to pick the truck up, there was no dolly in the back. When I asked the U-Haul employee where my dolly was, he stated they didn't have anymore available. The issue is I reserved the rental weeks ago, I needed that type of dolly for heavy furniture moving. Again, no heads up or email prior to inform me they didn't have what I paid for. He refunded me for the dolly, but I still had to figure out how move/carry a very heavy piece of office furniture. So the customer service and consideration at that location was non existent. Hence the low rating of my experience.

It is not safe trying to move items, esp heavy or bulky ones to the second level. Storage facilities without ramps / elevators are the only ones I would consider for future storage needs.
