Gentleman working the check in pointed at me while I was standing in line at the counter and does the “come here” gesture with his finger. I come outside and he’s pulling on the door handle to get into the cab. He then tells me something to the effect that if I want a receipt I have to go back inside and wait on the back of the line again. Not a great encounter. I know things are difficult but the experience picking up the truck and dropping it off were dramatically different.

Truck was not clean. Staff were not pleasant and did not go out of their way to help. Employee who checked me in had a strong African accent and was hard to understand and he became more rude and short when I asked him to repeat himself. Would not come back to this location! The truck cabin was just sprayed with some air freshener. Seats and windshield were not clean. Staffer did not come out to check the truck with me.

Guide your employees through a better customer service process, if it weren’t for the rude employees I would’ve rated this place high ranks. A customer can’t ask a simple question without getting a stupid response back with sarcasm. They definitely need a serious motive to start providing good service , maybe their pay at Uhaul sucks .

The front desk staff did not accept my driving license card because the system could not read my driver's license barcode, even though I had a long record leasing U-Haul moving trucks. Consequently, I had a lot of complications associated with moving, including delays, spending additional money, and stress. U-Haul website or advertising does not give any warning of the barcode reading to customers, only on the same day of moving when the cashier person states about the issue.

I was displeased with the online pick up service. When I logged in I was told that I didn't have a reservation 3 times. Then, I when the reservation was found my drivers license could not be verified and I had to go into the store which I did not want to do during this covid 19 crisis. what is the purpose of the online pick up if it does not work? I was trying to stay safe and avoid human interaction. Also the truck's check engine light came on during my move, and the truck was very sluggish on the highway. Lat the ramp was not in the truck. I had to lift everything myself without it. The young lady who helped me was nice, but the overall rental experience was my worst at Uhaul.

Please inspect rental trucks at least monthly to make sure they are safe to drive on the road. I was given a rental truck with the engine light on. Then when I exchanged for another, I was given another rental truck with stripped windshield wipers, which made it dangerous to drive during the rain. I mentioned this to the staff return person that seemed unconcerned about me letting him know. Customer service is important to success. Thanks.

I waited in line for 15 minutes before being waited on, and then had to wait another 10 while the customer service rep confirmed my reservation. After signing the documentation, and driving away I noticed that the gas was lower than what I'd signed and the odometer was 8 miles lower than what was on the sheet. I did not have the time to go back to the location to fix the issues. I did try and call, but nobody answered the phone. While I was still below my estimated mileage even with the lower odometer, I still had to pay additional money to fill up the gas tank so that I wasn't charged an ridiculous rate. I will use Uhaul again simply because it's needed for my business, but this is shady and completely unethical behavior. This is simply a way for this location to make more money at the expense of the customer.

Maybe provide a check-in Kiosk for people who do pre-check in online? Or maybe create one line for all who already have reservations and have done the pre-check in online? I stood in line for over 20 minutes waiting on three people reserving vehicles for the very first time.

The UHaul app does not work very well sometimes. It has problems when you need to take a picture to verify the cleanliness of the cab and cargo bay, and when you need to take a picture of the gas gauge to correct information that was in the system. On this rental, the system thought the gas gauge was at 5/8 but it was actually at 1/2. I kept clicking on "Add a photo" and the app was doing nothing. When I went to return my rental, using the app, it would take the picture of the cab to verify cleanliness but upon uploading that picture it would send me back to the first screen for returning the rental. I had to start the process over. This happened 4 times and I had to get someone from inside the location to complete the check-in for me.

Overall it was good. Office was open at 7 am as we requested. The manager was helpful but some improvement on customer service won’t be excessive. The truck was fine, but has some suspension issues. The inside box was kinda clean and had some dust and some little debris. The gate needed to be washed but because of the weather conditions I understand that office might not have enough time to prepare it. But again service was great overall. Now the only thing what bothered me was the actual level of fuel in the truck and readings in paperwork; so there was a slight difference. But we didn’t mind to put extra few gallons as I overall liked the service. Thank you!

The equipment was available on time and the staff assisted me with identifying needed items give my truck the ability to tow the trailer I rented. The 24 hour return had a glich in night time return so I called the number and was able to talk to a employee who assured proper credit for my return. Great equipment and customer service made the rental easy and effective!
