Brandon R.I reserved a trailer on 5/2 in Castle Rock and then the pickup location was changed. The email that informed me of the change went to my junk folder The email said 5pm pickup and when I called the new location at 230 they were closing. I message was left for me at 11am that morning but i didn't have my with me. So I had to call scheduling and they found me a trailer at Highlands Ranch. Pickup was fine although completely out of my way. The drop off lot attendant was unprofessional, bitchy and I won't go here again.

Hal S.Clerk there told me at 6:54 that I had six minutes until they opened. When I said I signed up for a 24/7 checkin, but my app now said I had to see someone there, she said they don't have that, sat down and lit a cigarette turning her back on me. She was late opening, when she saw my reservation time of 7 she pointed in out, when I told her it was now after 7 she told me she should have not used the ladies room and sat and pissed her pants. Her comments were so offensive even another coworker came out while I was taking photos of the truck to apologize for her conduct and treatment. A miserable experience by a buzz cut having having loud mouth gal with a tweety bird tat. She also told me to complain about no 24/7 to 1800 u haul. Will NEVER go back there. Horrible experience and will share it widely - look for the expanded yelp version coming soon.

After about a full minute the gentleman asked how he could help us but the lady continued her personal conversation. Second we reserved 4 dollys as we were moving a four bedroom house with appliances we were told they were out of dollys and proceeded to say very rudely “well you can move without dolly'sâ€! This was the second time renting from this location and will be the last!

scott R.The lady was rude, I told her we needed the truck for 24 hrs. Then she sent me a text telling me the truck was due back at 2:30 pm the next day and we didn't pick it up until 5pm. I called and the gentleman said no problem 5 pm was ok. Then I called and ask if I could keep the truck an additional day and she told me if I did I would Be charged an additional $50 plus the 39.95 because they were the busiest U-Haul in the area and they had reservations. I told her I had a reservation also for 3 dollys and had to go somewhere else to get them because she didn't have them. Her reply was well you can move without a dolly??? Really I will start renting Penske or another company from now on. Maybe you need to replace her due to how rude she is to people. I even had movers move some of my stuff and they said the same thing, to never rent from that location due to her!

The staff and site manager in Englewood CO were doing a very good job of keeping flow of equipment being rented going out to as short amount of time possible. The staff in Bozeman MT also handled the return quickly with ease.

Kaylea B.This location and employees were amazing. However, the U-Haul reservation system COMPLETELY messed up my entire moving plan. I had to pay to extra to get movers to help on Monday due to time constraints of not being able to return at the location I had reserved. I also had to wait over an hour to pick up my U-Haul due to me being reserved a truck that went out of commission in 2011. Then I didn't have the dolly I reserved so I had to drive back and get that too. Thank goodness this was not a farther move and I was able to make adjustments, but this is absolutely unacceptable when you are dealing with someone moving their entire life and just being told sorry the computer made a mistake. I so appreciate Candace and Durrell trying to make things better.

Truck wreaked of cigarettes and body odor. It was awful!!! I had to leave the windows open for duration of rental in order to breathe!

Donald L.The experience today at UHaul was very disappointing. We made an appointment online on Tuesday, April 26, and we even got a text message reminder / confirmation that the install was at 8:30 AM. I arrived before 8:15 AM to make sure I was early. The three ladies (who were NOT wearing name tags) at the front counter were quite rude and not very helpful. Lori was one of the girls working. I then asked how long it would be to get the hitch installed on our Nissan Pathfinder and she said there is currently ONE (1) car in front of you and that it shouldn't be more than four hours but this is a drop off only location. I came back three hours later and the car still had NOT moved. I walked back inside and of the three ladies still at the desk, only one was working and the other two were complaining how slow the system was. There was a line of people and the other two ladies wouldn't help the people who were in line. I noticed that a car was being removed from the hitch install bay and I saw the installer walk to the counter and look at a few of the paperwork folders to see who was next. Now there were about seven (7) on the rack to be installed and there was no particular order on which goes next. Very disappointing because I got there early and they go ahead and pick and choose which car goes next. As of 11 AM, after saying would stand there the entire time until our car was taken in, our car did go in. Wayshaun, the installer, was the one who did help me and get the car back when the next opening happened. I did ask to talk to the manager and didn't seem to be helpful either. Lori ended up yelling at Wayshaun for not being fast enough and it was in front of customers, myself and Wayshaun. Please answer this - Why send a confirmation of time when you just ignore the process?

Hard to find what i needed. Never received a final email invoice for rental. No one was there to greet me upon return. Waited 20 minutes for receiving to inventory my return and issue a receipt. Parking lot spaces for customers are hard to decipher. Overall, very unorganized and dirty and messy. Not customer friendly at all.

Gregory C.The front desk staff was incredibly obnoxious and complained about the company equipment. They had numerous phone calls and would put them on hold so they could finish ordering food first. They did not have an appliance dolly available even though I had reserved one. The first gave us a truck no one could even possibly get out of the spot without moving another truck and then made rude comments about we just couldn't do it. It was a bother to them we had to ask to have a different truck. The truck suspension and breaks were awful and we had to return the truck early because of it was a risk to our safety. This experience was frustrating from the beginning and quite disappointing. I will not be using this location again.
Martin M.A month later you charged me $60 for a $10 quoted rate for a furniture dolly. I will dispute with my credit card company if you don't correct the error immediately.

On a previous visit, my reservation couldn't be honored due to lack equipment. I was sent down the road with a shrug. Honestly, I endure the poor service and experience because of the location and price.

They engaged in lengthy personal chit-chat when the goal should be to complete the process as quickly as possible. The truck also has a cracked windshield across the entire width of the window in violation of Colorado law.

Worst customer service I have ever gotten your company should be ashamed.

Josue M.They gave me keys to a truck that wasn't in the parking lot and the truck they finally gave me had no gas in it. The person behind the counter was very passive aggressive. I also checked in online to avoid waiting in line at the location but that didn't work and I had to stand in line anyway.

When arriving to pick up the truck, I was told by an employee that was cleaning / maintaining vehicles that this location did not open until 9:00 AM, and there was no 24/7 pickup. She expedited the cleaning of my truck and checked it out to me, but this still cost us approximately 1 hour. This needs to be updated to save both the customers and employees time and frustration.

Was not able to access MY stuff needed and caused anxiety attack with my autism. If you need storage I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere and don't do business with Mr. Middleton

John W. | Overall ExperienceCustomer service was great at the storage location and it is a good deal with the first month free; however after the first month anything bigger than a 5 X 5 is very expensive. I will pay over $185/mn for my 10 X 10. The other problem I had with the physical location was how hot it was in the storage facility. The A/C was on but it felt very warm when we were moving our items in the unit. UHaul can make the temperature more comfortable for their movers in the facilities. Customer service on the phone was awful with long wait times, disconnection, drop off location confusion, and poor willingness to clear up the problem. Because of that I will not use UHaul again.
LaTonya H. | First ImpressionsThis was all a huge mess. I reserved (2) 15'x10' storage units to arrive at the site and find (6) 5'x10' units as if that is the same thing. Things do not fit as well into smaller areas, and they cost me more for the same space. The general manager of this location did nothing to make it better and I was unable to ever even get ahold of him. The general manager also seems to be a bit of a gate keeper so it is a bigger issue than it might otherwise be. The staff is super helpful when they have the power to be, but getting the proper price rate is not in their ability to provide. I failed to get ahold of him for 8 weeks while I was renting those 6 storage units. I was told that he was the only one that could honor the price I was quoted when reserving online. 6 office visits (he never works) and 3 unreturned voicemails later, I overpaid by a couple hundred dollars, so I don't really care about how clean the facility or friendly the staff is, they can't get it above average. You failed.

I did not enjoy my time at uhaul. Probably won't ever rent from uhaul again. I found storage rates at $66 for a indoor 10x10. Uhaul is $180/month.

He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, each of the three times I encountered him, and he's the reason I'm choosing above average. One of those times, involved a problem. He was incredibly busy that day, but didn't let that affect his level of service. We pay attention to customer service. Good service can be so hard to find, especially when tips aren't involved. Honestly, 3 of the above questions should be made into two, because the facility can be secure, but not well lit. Staff can be helpful, but not friendly. A question pertaining to safety should be added as well. The code to access the building containing the storage unit did not work on either of the two occassions we needed to access the unit in the early evening.
David C. | Overall ExperienceFor a few years, we were very satisfied with U-Haul. For the past few months, the security system has not been fully functional. We have not been able to have after-hours access and exits/entrances have not being fully monitored/tracked making us trust the security less than before. We found another facility with a jumbo storage unit equal to the size of our 2 large U-Haul units, costing $160 less per month than U-Haul, and with fully functioning security plus after-hours access. Unfortunately, U-Haul did not cancel our units when requested. We moved out, cleaned our units, removed our locks, and cancelled our units in early Feb 2021. It took repeated attempts through mid-March to get the charges and late fees to stop being charged to us. I rated overall experience "Average" based on our early years. Most of the staff are "Average" or lower and a few are "Poor" but there is one manager who is "Above Average" and he was very helpful to us. I'm sorry I can't remember his name.

Pat L. | First ImpressionsEvery time I've had dealings with this facility its been a train wreck . I purposely drive out of the way to patronize other stores rather than go here. Due to past experiences ,I prohibited my business from using this location since 2009. A sudden and temporary need during a recent move made using this location most convenient . Maybe it was just a fluke day, but again- train wreck. There was a new store manager starting and the tension was thick. The cashier wanted the new manager to process our order but he said he didn't know how. He didn't real seem interested in learning. She rolled her eyes and had obvious contempt for him. We were told the storage unit building was open until 10 and given an access code . I confirmed we would be able to access the unit after the office closed since we had required trips that would happen after 5pm. We were supposed to get an access card but was told the machine was down . When we returned later with a load of material ~5ish the entry code we had been given would not work. The manager was just leaving and was obviously distressed. I explained we had to get into the unit so we could complete our move. He said he didn't know how to get in and that he had had " a long day I wouldn't be able to understand". I explained that me not getting into my unit was not an option. He said he had master keys at home and it would take him 1.5 hrs to go get them . I tried to troubleshoot options with him asking who else may have keys, etc but he got very emotional and said in frustration " Fine! I'll go all the way home and get my keys !" then recklessly sped away from the lot. To quote my stoic 18 year old son who was helping me " That was CRAZY." I did receive a call about an hour later from the manager who informed me his assistant lived close by and would come let me in. This happened. THANK YOU . A gentleman on a motorcycle showed up and happily let me in. Very professional . He explained I was not only not given an access card, I was not given proper instructions on how to operate the security system. The delay resulted in my moving crew leaving , forcing me to complete the 3-man load by myself - about 4 hrs of solo work for me. As your manager complained to me about his day, he had no perspective that I had been up for about 27 hours at that point, working in the smoke filled summer heat , and had an 11 hour truck drive to complete before my day would be over. It wasn't a minor inconvenience. All told, not being able to get in my unit cost me about 6hrs and $225 in wasted labor. The insinuation by tone and body language that this was " my problem" is just the cherry on top of a horrible experience. The facility is nice, clean, safe, and conveniently located - yet every-time its a cringe worthy ordeal. 3 for 3. At least they are consistent. Around 2005 they made my 74 year old mother cry ( really) over a $12 lock she couldn't get the key to turn in due to a sticking mechanism. Then, in the last experience they smugly charged me an extra day rent on a truck for being 13 minutes late after i waited in line IN THEIR LOBBY for 50 minutes to return the keys. This is only the 4th customer survey I've completed for ANY business in the last 10-15 years. I would avoid this place like the plague.

On many of those occasions, we could not park because UHaul trucks were parked in the load/unload area. We had to ask for them to be moved each time. We think it is wrong for UHaul to use those places for truck parking. They should be left for the convenience of paying customers. The actual storage facilities were very clean and nice, but the parking situation was very frustrating.

The login pad had visible dirt, it was black. They eventually cleaned it, but especially during this virus, it should have been cleaned daily. Everytime I came it was super busy and people everywhere and it was almost impossible to find a spot to park 80% of the time. Might have been the timing. Not worth the price or location. Management was very great. Very nice and remembered who I was but nothing was worth the price when it was >$30 for the same size unit down the street. I moved out because of the inconvenience and the traffic. I still like U-Haul for their boxes and supplies but I'll never store with a U-Haul again. Overpriced for sure. They wouldn't give me a refund after 1/2 a month so I was forced to stay until my month was up. Sometimes I would walk through the dark and have to jump around for the light to turn on. It felt sketchy and I didn't like being in the dark alone. There were times that I would be at my unit organizing and an alarm would sound down the hall and no one would be there.
olivia B. | Overall ExperienceI was charged twice and still have not received a refund. I had a receipt showing this and spoke with the main manager and he was so rude and aggressive. They charged me for my unit and another unit that I did not rent. The main manager then decided to put a lock on my unit so I couldn't get my stuff. He said he was doing it just to "mess with me" I went back on a different day to speak with the assistant manager Les and he was the only one that helped me. He could see my unit was paid for and took the lock off. I'm still owed 69 dollars of over payment that the main manager refused to give me. With everything going on in the world and being treated so aggressively from the main manager makes me sick. The only nice person there they knows what he is doing is Les. I can't remember if it's Les or Lex but if it weren't for him I would have been afraid to get my belongings because of how horrible the main manager was. It also not temperature controlled it was close to 90 degrees and I had an entire box of stuff ruined because of it. Frankly I would like the money extra money charged given back and a refund for the abuse I had to endure by the main manager with his picture on everything
