The had a time that I needed to be for my location for pick up. When arriving to pick up the U-Haul I was late. With only one person checking people out and the person in front of me desiring the U-Haul rep to resolve all her life's issues was problematic. Then the U-Haul had NO brakes! I drove over the state with having to listen to the brake warning and my foot to press completely to the floor to start engaging the brake system. As a person who doesn't drive this size vehicle often this was a lot to deal with and great disappointment. When returning the vehicle the technician told us the vehicle was not suppose to be on the road.GREGORY D.

Ensure employees are better trained on rental process and customer charges. The app needs a lot of work as well. It's no fun sitting in a parking lot at 6am trying to get it to work - only to learn it canceled your reservation. Most importantly, PLEASE STOP UNDERQUOTING YOUR SERVICE. I don't understand why but the equipment was present on the lot but not in their inventory so they were unable to assign it to my rental contract. It took 1.5 hours to arrive, rent the equipment, and embark. The process was long and complex. They handled it but was a big inconvenience.TRAVIS W.

Not very well staffed. Arrived on time in AM for reservation, but had to wait 20 minutes for the vehicle because one staff member's customer had an issue, and it took that long to get through the line between them. Ended up dropping it off late as a result of delay on their end in AM, was told â€œdon't worry about dropping it off lateâ€, and was charged double. Not using this location again. Truck was also supposed to be automatic, but did not change gears without manual assistance.ROBERTO M.

My storage unit was given away and based on the time frame I had to get two smaller units. Not only was this a huge inconvenience being that we drove 6 hours just prior to unloading, but I was still charged for the unit. The gentleman that worked that day was phenomenal and if it wasn't for him, I believe I would have protested about the lack of transparency when reserving something and it being given to someone else. What is the point in reserving if U-haul will simply give it away, even after making the reservation a month prior. During the past couple of years I have used different U-Haul storage facilities in several states along the East Coast. This is by far the best managed facility of them all. The staff went out of their way to help me and they were always courteous. The storage unit was clean. I chase usual because I was moving to another state and needed temporary convenient storage which they provided with the first month free of cost. When I arrived there the storage was inside a building and not outside like they told me. I am 80 and my wife is 76 and we couldn't unload our truck until we found storage ourselves thirty miles away. I think we were deceived by uhaul and overcharged because we rented the truck based on free first month outside storage convenient to our destination. It was a traumatic experience to say the least after putting our trust in uhaul. The entire staff was very accommodating, helpful and understanding. I'm really grateful. The only issue I had was with one of UHaul's rules about storage rental, which has nothing to do with the staff or their performance. The rule is the "alternate contact" rule, which states the alternate contact a renter provides must have a different address and phone number than the renter. I noticed a lot of empty units in the same size I rented so I ask why was I put so far away when there were available units closer. I was told that those were rented but had not come in yet. I want to know why someone who has not come can get a closer unit when I came first. We as customers cannot pick a location so how does that work. I have a heart condition and feel that if the space is empty it should be rented first come first served. Going forward if I rent from you again I will want to see where my space and hope not to see as many customer ready tags as I do on my row but cannot get closer yet they are empty and you have me as a customer not an expected customerDebora F. | First Impressions
