After making a reservation at the Groton Uhaul customer service called and sent me to Pawcatuck Uhaul to pick up a different trailer and said I could put my motorcycle in it with a ramp and wheel the day before I was going on my trip when I got there there was no way to load my motorcycle and they didn't do anything about it I would never go to another uhaul agin

First of all it wasn't even the location I wanted to have to go get the equipment. I made a reservation in Warwick RHODE ISLAND and was told it will be there but there is a possibility that I might have to pick it up a little further. I DID NOT expect you sending me to CONNECTICUT into another STATE to pick it up. COMPLETE EFFING BULLSHIT on uhaul. I understand people are flocking out of New England and you get short on equipment but you still have a responsibility for reservations. Why don't you spend a little to pay a flat bed and load it up with trailers and have a big delivery made to the low area?? At least WITHIN THE STATE OF A RESERVATION. Everthing else was a good experience.

Customer service could be improved. When I picked up rental, the associate was rude and didn't want to help me, as if I were interrupting him. Upon returning the rental, a different associate wouldn't look at me while helping me and could didn't seem to know much about the rental return process.

While picking up my cargo van, I requested to instead rent your smallest box truck. The clerk said none were available for the time period needed. She rented me a larger truck (with Grandma's attic) instead. Before I left UHaul, I asked Noah, another employee if one of the smaller trucks on the lot were available. He said, YES! And, he immediately helped me by getting my contract switched, switched rig keys, and offered to help me move over my packing materials from the first truck. Noah is a superb customer service agent. Please acknowledge his great help and service. I so appreciated having a smaller truck. When I returned the truck, Noah greeted me and said he was happy to help park my truck for the check in. The female clerk, sane person who said the smaller truck wasn't available, was unhappy she had to make contract changes the previous day and said “they had to make a lot of changes, and that she couldn't give me a receipt because of it. I had to wait for the email and she didn't want to know my mileage or fuel amount left. She didn't thank me for my business, was indifferent to my standing there at the counter. Terrible customer service, as I have previously experienced with the “manager”: Ryan. This location needs training in customer service big time.

With the exception of one young woman, the attendees are unprofessional. They act as if you are annoying them when you walk in. Most of the time I get rental equipment that hasn't been cleaned or inspected. In fact, a few weeks ago I was charged for damage that was absolutely not mine. I called U-Haul to dispute the charges, which took considerable time on the phone, and I was never again contacted (even though I was assured that I would be contacted within a few business days.) And as if that wasn't enough, when I rented another truck from this location I had another incident. As I was returning the truck, I pointed out some damage on the top of the tailgate and asked about it because I didn't see an x sticker near it. The attendee paused and acted as if this was going to be attributed to me (again.) When I realized this I immediately mentioned that I had taken extensive photos when I picked up the truck. He looked at the pictures and then changed his attitude entirely. He said 'oh okay, I'll have to put a sticker on that..' And to top it all off, I reserved a truck for last Sunday (my only day off.) And as I was in the process of picking it up I was told that there's an outstanding issue which prohibited me from completing the pickup. Unsurprisingly, there was nobody who could resolve the issue on Sunday. I'm assuming that the issue stems from the disputed charge in which uhaul failed to follow up with me about (like they promised.) I work too much right now to deal with this fully, but I am determined now to be refunded the fraudulent charges they got me with. I'm of the opinion at this point that uhaul should have to compensate me for time, costs related to a second broken reservation at the last minute, and emotional stress.

I would like you to know that I made a mistake on my dates for pickup at one pickup place in Norwich. This meant that they didn't have a truck for me. The clerk named Chase made arrangements at another store in Groton for me. Both stores and services were fantastic customer care. Thank you both for going above and beyond.

We were given the wrong truck in the first place therefore the mileage was off and the gas. we took photos before and after and while trying to out the mileage in to let them know we got there, it said the mileage amount was less than what we started with. (because it had it in the system that we had a different truck than what was given.)

The U-Haul corporate office changed my pick-up location. The lady on the phone did not point this out. She simply read the new address like it was the one on the email. She was "confirming" my rental rather than actually informing me that it WAS CHANGED! The people at the old location were helpful and pointed out that I had a text with the new location. But the email was never updated. I had an email with the old address and a text with the new address. That was VERY confusing and it could have been handled much better if the lady on the phone had actually EXPLAINED that the pickup location had changed.

We returned the equipment as we received it. An employee inspected it and then said we were good to go. When looking at my bank statement, I found that I was overcharged. After waiting to speak to a customer service rep, she told me we incurred a damage fee. We did not damage the equipment and were never notified of this accusation. The representative we spoke to could not help resolve the issue. We are extremely frustrated.

I got charged for 3 gallons of gas. When I picked up the truck it has less than a quarter tank and the refill gas light on. The dashboard indicated it had 39 miles till empty I returned it with a quarter of a tank and the the dash boar indicated it had over 80 miles till empty.

Make sure the vehicles have gas in them. Mine had 1/16th of a tank, though I was reimbursed for fuel. They did try to make things right. Overall a very good experience. Decent truck.

Your process involves inspecting the van… but you did not disclose the problems that already existed on the van (dents, scratches, cigarette burnt seats, dent on roof, etc. ). I had to go back in to the rental desk, & she said she already knew the problems. Then why not tell the customer!!!!

Day of trailer rental charged $26.54 for a 6 hour rental. Trailer was returned 2 1/2 hours early the same day. Next day another $20.00 charge was posted to my card for late rental return. Several call to the location was diverted to central call center. Was told this happens when the local location doesn't answer their phone. Terrible customer service!

Upside: hours of operation are the most convenient in the area Downside: staff were not especially friendly (lethargic and disinterested) and they didn't check the trailer lights. Turns out most of the lights on the passenger side weren't working.

Don't be hesitant to use the men's room when u return after a long drive. It was spotless with shiny toilet & sink. Paper towel dispenser was full with towels that flowed out flawlessly. The soap dispenser worked & the room had no foul odors but cleanliness was a 10 out of 10.

The two gentlemen who helped me were very polite and guided me through the process. Great employees!!! I was happy that there was a bathroom after i dropped one of my boxes that had soy sauce in it and it broke. I had to take everything out if the box and clean it up. Thanks to the staff.
