Upon entering the store we approached the first worker to rent a 9' Cargo Van and help us reserve it. The worker said that there were no 9' Cargo Van available but I told him that the website said there were available for that same day. When I told him that, the worker with a terrible attitude and humiliating me said "then do it online". Later, he attended to some clients and treated them well and kindly. When I finished my online reservation, another worker helped me and was kind to us. In conclusion, my experience was the worst, I felt discriminated and humiliated.Carlos H.

I want to be clear hereâ€¦ I rated poorly not based on my continued experience, but on my last experience. When u got the truck, the paperwork said it had 1/4 tank of gas. I submitted photographic evidence that the tank was literally empty. The truck ran out of gas, leaving me to walk to a gas station, having to buy a gas container, and walk the gas back to the truck. This also completely hindered my productivity for the day, as I wasted hours remediating the situation. I usually have a great experience from this location, and I rent fairly often, but this was a deplorable experience.Ulysses L.

Hello there, I would love to thank you U-haul for such an easy and affordable way on renting the vehicles and equipment necessary during a relocation/moving/etc process! Great costumer service! The next customer will return after the first experience there's no doubt about that. My personal experiences with U-haul showed me that most of the trucks are unfortunately scratched and slightly damaged. Camera systems on the back of the trucks will bring considerably improvements. Trucks with â€œback liftsâ€ will improve the business! So far you guys are amazing!MariusOvidiu D.

The female that checked me in is rude and disrespectful at best. I advised that I had filled out the data online but she demanded I renter it all over again. Then the link she sent didn't workâ€¦. The bottom line is the reservation system you have stinks. I spend the required time to fill out the reservation request and that info does not make it to the location. It creates redundancy and doesn't allow the clerk to provide the customer with vital aspects of renting. Now, after returning the truck earlier, I receive a final invoice. What started as a $19.95 rental became $146.55. I understood the rental and mileage charges and even knew there would be a premium price for fuel but to charge $75.00 for fuel is offensive. You have made renting a vehicle out of reach for many Americans and have made it an obsolete requirement to deliver a service. I could have had my parcel delivered for $100.00 but I chose the $19.95 mistake that became a $146.55 horror movie. I can somewhat understand $100 for the rental and other charges but an additional $46.55 is simply going too far.David L.

I was waiting in line for over an hour to get my vehicle. The parking lot was flooded and the attendant parked my car right in the middle of the puddle so I had to get my shoes and socks completely wet to do the walk around. The vehicle had extensive damage that was not documented in the app so I had a lot of photos to take and descriptions to write. This is my first time having such a bd experience there. Service was ok. Long lines to Checkin. Took over 30 min to get truck. Once we did get truck the photos and the state of the truck were way off. Had to spend significant amount of time documented the unmarked scratches and dents to ensure I wasn't later liable. Also inside of truck was unpleasant. Reeeked of cigarettes and it was poorly cleaned. Dirty cup holder with some goo like food left over. Trash behind and under seats and dirty dashboard. Yuck. I was in a rush to because my service elevator reservation was about to end. I called the service on the number 8004684285, and the representative was very helpful and reserved a truck for moving a studio or one bedroom, which is very convenient to me. When I went to that location the front desk employee finalized the paper work and gave me the keys and I was shocked when I saw that he gave me something else. It was a truck that can move 5 bedroom apartment. I had to go because I was late, but this was great inconvenience. Maneuvering that huge truck, fitting it into the spaces and more importantly not giving me what I signed up for is very inconvenient. Plus, it is way more expensive, and way more than what I needed. This is why my rating wasn't that high, but in general you guys are amazing. I can't thank you enough for making such a stressful process easier. ¡Gracias!Hussein A.

The customer service is terrible. They should call people before canceling their reservations. The guy next to me was having an issue because someone decided to extend their rental so his truck was not available for him even though he reserved it. And for me, she was rudely telling me â€œit's canceledâ€ even though it wasn't and she hadn't checked. Moving day is stressful for everyone and you need to have excellent customer service reps to handle this. I couldn't help but notice she would go above and beyond for not just myself, but everyone she came in contact with. It took me over 45 minutes to sign for my storage unit and after driving from North Carolina and having made my reservation 4 days earlier they didn't have my unit available. The solution was to give me another unit that was smaller and ended up not being able to fit all of my stuff. Once I finally got a unit which was now on the 7th. Floor vice the first I was promised the elevator was down for maintenance. It was a routine maintenance they decided to do in the middle of the day instead of waiting until hours when customers weren't coming in and out needing it. I had to move meetings and extend time blocks because of all of the above mismanagement and even more frustrating couldn't store all the stuff I had driven states down to put away for my military move. Lets start with the unit location (which no one explain to you how uncomfortable could it be), unit was over another unit and my couch (which is not huge at all) couldn't fit in the hallway (not on the storage unit that it was super difficult to get in), I tried to talk with a girl there super rude because she was on a call and she didn't have time for a customer. Elevator will start closing and making noises after the first 2 mnts (because everyone knows you go to a storage and pay 150 dlrs just to keep 2 box and go). The same rude girl from before when I ask her if I could change units because we didn't fit on the sh..t they gave me she told me they didn't have any (which it wasn't true and we had to go back to get another real answer and she didn't even know how to charge us correctly, but of course they did). We took double time doing this in the storage that what we spend from my apartment (in an 11 floor) to the elevator and then to the truck and all that time with everything in the elevator because there is only 1 elevator and we didn't have space to go or to put things. First, the size demensions I confirmed were not what I got,, and the website does not explain about having to use a ladders steps to access your unit.. After this deception, the girl that changed my unit after looking at a few units. Was super Lazy, rude, and would not detach from her phone to give me instructions. I had to return 4 times. Once for the code, once to figure out I had to use it for both doors just to find out I needed a card to do this, plus, was never given a lock...the van I rented did not have a dolly so I had to go searching for one and get the ok to take it...this burned up about 2 hours of my rental time. As I was finally moving in there was a huge rat trap in my unit which makes me very nervious of having my belongings infested.. there was a strong scent of Marijuana on my floor and 2 unit with people bathing and sleeping in the units like a hotel. Water damage inside my storage unit along with a cockroaches infestation.... lost many valuable items due to the water damage and end up with cockroaches IN MY HOUSE!!! Overall I'm satisfied. I had to store my stuff for one week. I paid for a month however. There were two guys pretty much "living" in one of the units on the floor where I was assigned. I felt nervous initially as there was a guy using a step ladder blocking the way and was rude about letting me get by to my unit on the day I was moving my stuff in. I am now aware now that Miami is 85% Spanish. The storage in Miami wasn't climate control. Climate control should be mandatory in all of Miami units. The staff knew only Spanish. They need interpretations or hire someone native that speak English. Jacksonville was okay. I had to call corporate to fully comprehend my reservations. 3 locations were not able to explain anything to me . There was a rat trap and a live cockroach in my unit. The rat trap I can live with. It indicates there are rats in the building, but at least you're doing something to deal with it. The live cockroach seemed like more of a problem. When I asked staff about this, one person didn't know what to do and the other person suggested I get a roach bomb. I don't have a car so I walked to the nearest CVS, but they had no cockroach killer materials. That facility is awful! Highly inconvenient and unsafe! I wouldn't recommend that place to an enemy much less a friend. I gave them a "Below Average" because the workers are nice but they could never problem solve. The elevator is always broken, not just this year when they upgraded. What's the point of a storage facility where you can't get to your stuff? The last approximately 5 months I've had to walk up 5 flights of freight stairs and walk through dark hallways where often times I'm encountering vagrants. At one point a couple years ago the elevator was broken I asked that an employee escort me stairs because yet again the elevator was broken and they refused due to their own safety too. Is the worst facility that I have used, dirty, full of roaches, hot, elevator first was extremely slow and it has not work for the pass three month. I need it to get my belongings on the seventh floor I had to use the stairs and was not able to move because the elevator was not working Few months ago I put a claim for items that were stollen and when I asked to see the film to see what happened I was told there was no security film. I consider this to be a major problem due to the fact that if anything happens to anyone there is no security cameras according to the office. I lost over $2500. worth of items including my diving equipment, coats, cloth..... and have no way to prove it.margarita m. | Overall Experience

I have paid this storage for a year. Hired a moving truck and crew to put some more items and pick up some of what I had there and found that the elevator wasnt working. Couldnt get my furniture out plus, I couldnt put the new stuff in this storage. Wasted a lot of time of the movers who charge hourly and had go to a new storage. They had to come back yesterday to get the resf of what I have in the storage get it down by the stairs with several movers in order to put everything on the same storage. I have been calling, texting, leaving messages and havent been able to talk to Hector the manager. I left my number, email and no reply. I had a terrible experience with this facility. I got stuck in the elevator for 30 mins with half of my things. Finally we got out, but my things stayed at the elevator for 5 days, until they fix it. I had to leave the rest of my things in the moving truck and hire new people for the unloading when elevator was fixed. I reserved my storage on the 7th floor, without letting me know that was burned a year ago and you still can breath the smoke in the floor. I needed to use a face mask every time I visit the storage. The unit was full of roaches, when I move out of the unit, it was infected of dead roaches. The place is disgusting, hot (not air conditioning) and dangerous due to the smoke. They I only stayed 2 months, and never got any discount or consideration after all I went through. It was the worst storage experience I ever had. The storage closes at 7pm, but there are access through the outside stairs leading to the floors, where homeless people come to stay for the night. Very dangerous. I don´t recommend this location to anybody. It was a nightmare for me dealing with the elevator, that breaks all the time according to people going there.OLGA P. | Overall Experience
While I would recommend this facility for renting Uhaul trucks, I would not recommend it for storage. It appears to have a mouse problem and I worry that our mattress will be attacked by mice.
