Hello team support Actually I always use U-Haul when I need a truck but last time the truck really bad need maintenance and one of the front light not working and I told them before I leave and the customer service told me we don't have time to fix it so take it or leave it and try to find another truck because but I don't have time to find another truck because I have to move my uncle to the new house Thank you MichaelMichael B.

The associate who checked me out was very nonchalant. I was told that i was charged for gas but i brought it back the same when i picked up the truck. The associate wasn't explaining what was going on. It took 20 mins to check out. I will not be returning to this location again. Very unsatisfied.KETISHA W.
I reserved a storage locker, but they had already rented it to someone else. When I asked for an alternate either at this location or another in the area I was told there was nothing. Please take this in the right way... Desk clerk #1 was competent but listless, slow moving rigid. There were half a dozen open trailers of various types on the lot but I was told I would have to wait until my official pick-up time at 1030 and the trailer I was supposed to get was supposed to be returned at 1015. I went back in at 1030, the 1015 trailer hadn't arrived, and Clerk #2 just did what I asked for in the first place, and rent me any of the ones on lot. For what I was moving, a Bowflex exercise apparatus, any open trailer including one for a motorcycle would work. Clerk #1 at 1000 was listless and didn't understand or do anything about that. Clerk #2 at 1030 got it right and picked another trailer. Conversely, the man who checked me in was literally running around the lot checking us all in. Bottom line is that U-Haul has WONDERFUL electronic/web processes but a huge part of the experience is the people who interact w/ the customer. I hope this helps. Warm regards, Capt. Great job U-Haul. You made a challenging local move much simpler. Loved the experience. Only issue was the gas cap was broken by a prior renter. When I went to unscrew the cap it was not attached to the cap to the cover. I managed to somehow open it to refill gas but it definitely needs to be repaired. Bad customer service. I drop in a motor cycle trailer to realize they had charge me for two days when I only rented it for one day. When I spoke to them they said they would fix the charge later, and that later never came.EMMA L.
I reserved an EL 17 ft model and they did not have it when I arrived for 1230 -the person at the counter informed me that the vehicle I was Suppose to get wasn't due back until 1pm. Meaning if I wouldve waited I wouldve got a dirty non sanitized truck or I wouldve Had to wait another hour for them to service the vehicle. We rented the truck at 7:30 AM and did not get the truck until 7:40 AM. We also returned it around 9:30 AM and the staff their told us to leave the truck and we can get a receipt via email. When we received our receipt, the truck was marked to be returned at 11:40 AM which is late and caused us a double charge. This is a horrible practice and requires review. Check your truck before you give them to your customers. Your. Customers coming in to rent a vehicle should not have too, but my case check the vehicle before you take it out!! Your employees at this location tried to blame some previous damage on this truck on me. They had to check there video to verify it wasn't me, if there were doing there job the time it was brought back before me they would saw it. Our trucks gas tank was on empty. We called they said to fill it up or bring it back for a different truck. We went back they said just take it and add gas and to bring it back with 1/4 tank. What??? Also they were rude and just not lot of communication with us. Also told us to drop our keys no receipt or anything. Not even sure what they charged us for.CRAIG B.

I was charged a whole extra day when I called a couple times to make sure I updated my pick up time & I was told it was ok & updated. I picked up the truck a little past 3 P.M. & dropped it off at 3:30 & was still charged a whole extra day, not happy at all & I love Uhaul.Elizabeth E.
The front desk girl seemed lazy and unhelpful. I overheard a conversation between her and a customer about a reservation that he made. But the girl told him that she didn't see that they didn't have the vehicle he wanted. As for my own situation, when I was about to be given the key, she just handed them to me and told me â€œthe truck is outside on the lotâ€. She didn't tell me about the number of the truck or that it was on the keys. What if I needed help looking for the truck? Or what if I didn't know about the numbers? Poor customer service. I also asked for an appliance dolly and did not receive it until after I asked for it AGAIN. Very lazy and poor customer service personPEDRO P.

I arrived early around 7:10 Am , I was the first customer on the store, it was only one employee, paperwork was fast, when proceeding to pay with my credit card , I pulled my wallet and put it on the counter I sign on the electronic pad, they give me my copy, and I walked out to my truck to hook the car dolly, I forgot my wallet on the counter, there was no customers at the time I left, hours later I noticed that I forgot my wallet over the counter, and I made a call to the store, they told me they have my wallet, I thanked the girl over the phone many times, so when a came to returning the car dolly they give me my wallet , I was going to give the employee $50 dollars tip for returning my wallet, but surprised there was no money in my wallet only my drivers license and credit cards, the money was gone $180 , is not a lot but the fact that your employee took it reflects poorly on your company, you should check your security footage. It was clearly not another customer as there would be no wallet leftover to be returned.FRANCISCO G.

I had a reservation for a climate control storage unit of a specific size and bottom floor. When I arrived they did not have that unit and gave me one much smaller, not climate controlled and second floor. The second floor access is a staircase!!! What type of storage facility has stairs to haul all storage items up and down from…most ridiculous thing ever!! The size of the unit turned out to be too small, a bigger unit was available however, the owner, Donnis, wasn't willing to swap out units. He wanted me to rent the other unit out as well. I don't need 2 units. He then proceeded to walk away and just left his staff member standing there not knowing what to do, so then he walks away. He was more concerned with counting his boxes and seeing how many pallets they had to restock. Just left us standing at the counter. The sad part about this is that my husband is disabled and was there with me. He uses a wheelchair and a cane to get around. He is unable to help me in moving. And financially we can't afford movers. So I was doing this alone. There was NO compassion from this person at ALL. I will NEVER rent a storage there again. I only had the unit for a day or two and left. Didn't even use it really. It also had a hole in the door. So people could see what your storing. I had to keep the Uhaul truck rental again and found a storage at different storage company. I will say his staff had more compassion and kindness then he did. They were awesome. But they could only do so much but say I'm sorry.Anthony D. | Overall Experience

First, I wish the individual storage spaces be lighted. Storage spaces do not have lights inside and it is Very difficult to find things or move around inside the storage spaces. There should be an automatic lighting installed inside of each storage space that turns on and off by itself. Every time I, I visit my storage, I hated to be inside the dark space. The ceiling is also low, so I have to stoop around the whole time I'm in there. I am a woman of average height, by the way. Second, I wish the U-Haul employees are better trained. Many of them I have dealt with so far have Very incompetent work skills. On Sunday, 03/14/2021, a female agent who was helping me on the phone was very incompetent. And on Monday, 04/15/2021 a male agent at the Gardena, CA location office was also not trained properly. The female agent did not know how to properly cancel my contract with U-Haul. I had to call twice to make sure my cancellation was processed correctly. On the second phone call, an agent named Joseph verified that my cancellation did not take place with the previous female agent. Joseph helped me to complete the cancellation in the system. The first female agent was NOT professional: Not only she did not do the job correctly, her manner on the phone was very rude, telling me to take the speaker-phone mode off so that she can hear me. I was driving , so I had to use the speaker phone. Anyway, I pulled over and spoke with her without using the speaker phone. Also, she called me "Honey". Somehow her calling me honey did not feel appropriate to me. I wish she called me by my name, and not "Honey". She was also fumbling on the phone a lot while talking to me on the phone. At the end of a rather hasty "help" provided by her, i tried to ask her name. Well, She hung up right away! That's when I got suspicious wherher my request was performed correctly. I got this hunch that she might not have done the cancellation job correct. I immediately called back. Sure enough, the second agent named Joseph confirmed that my storage contract termination did not take effect at all. Nothing was done for it, he said. Joseph was very professional though. He apologized for the first female agent's mistake. What a waste of my time. Also when I try to return the key at the Gardena location, the agent made a mistake in the return-key process. I had to ask his coworker sitting next to him at the counter to double-check. Surely, the key was not returned in the system. If a coworker had to help out in order to make sure a simple key-return was done correctly in the system, then I am not sure whether U-Haul employees are trained properly. My experience with U-Haul with the phone agents and the local office agents have been very unsatisfactory. I would NOT hesitate to recommend some other storage businesses to others.
