Every time I used my storage unit I'd have to bring a blower bc whomever does the blowing of lot if done at all always blows debris in front of my unit. When I emptied the amount of roaches was ridiculous especially bc I had nothing to attract them. Also they lewve trailers all over next to building so at times when trying tk use unit since I'm corner and trailer against wall I'd have to move for ppl to get by. The staff did not provide U-box beforehand. There were several people that had to wait for there box to be moved out of the warehouse. Another thing was I moved my belongings out from U-box since August and I only reserved it until August, but U-haul still charged me until December. It was also my fault that I noticed it that late but why would I have to check out and put in the reservation date if it did nothing.Tanapol L.

One wrong fastener used on the bumper cover. Both pop rivits which replaced the upper clips have come out. When I was leaving my rear automatic braking was disabled due to wire not being reconnected. Don't know what else may be wrong under the cover. I'm trying to find the proper fasteners now.I have no confidence in this installation.Ned S.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. Stopped midway through getting me my rental to chat about what they had for food and that someone had ordered pizza. Actually when I walked in, the person who assisted me was sitting playing on her phone and when she saw me she let out an audible sigh. The truck was great, well maintained, good condition etc. just would not want to deal with the staff again. I use the location on Main Street for propane and will now take my rental needs there as well.Michael C.

Make sure the consumer understands that there is a drop off fee if you do not return it to the location listed on the contract. I did not specify a drop off location when I made the reservation and somehow the system designated a location in Groveland FL, which is 55 miles away (1 hr and 30 minutes) away from Beverly Hills, FL. I definitely wasn't going to drive that distance to drop off the truck. Furthermore, the attendant told me that it wouldn't be a problem to drop it off at a different location. She surely did not say anything about a $15.00 fee.John P.
Second time here and I used to work at a uhaul location nearby. This time I was on the other side of the counter and there wasn't a moment where I was happy with the experience. No utility or appliance dollies available for a local rental, garbage signature devices that don't work which I can only assume is the result of people being frustrated with the attitudes of the employees. After hours check in app didn't workâ€¦for device location issues on the app not my phone. I have more sympathy for the people that work there because they are dealing with stressed out people that are moving but most of these issues are a company problem not an employee problem. The employees probably need a raise and motivation to deal with asshole customers which I was very close to becoming. Only thing I was mildly satisfied with was the total price of the rental but I guess that's what it's all about. Hope I don't have to move anytime soon or need uhaul. And whoever reads this I hope you get a good laugh cuz I know it's not gonna make one bit of difference. Merry Christmas and happy holidaysBrian K.
Windshield was dirty and no washing fluid...very difficult to see at first. My wife also noticed a couple of inside back tires had very little tread. Both minor issues but potentially safety hazards...? Otherwise, the staff was helpful and friendly and everything went very smoothly...UHaul is my ONLY truck rental company!Mark C.

The equipment was clean, however the older trucks are slightly confusing and quite honestly a safety concern. The truck I drove did not have an accurate dashboard gear reading according to the actual gear shift I was performing. For example, the truck's dashboard showed that I was in neutral even though the gear was actually in reverse. This is not only confusing but dangerous were someone not carefully watching what the truck was doing. Updating the trucks or just making sure the dashboard read is correct would make it more accessible for the next customer.Nathalie D.

The worker was super rude about our transacation. He wore a hoodie and sweatpants as a "uniform". We rented a dolly and they ended up not having a single dolly. The guy drove the truck up to the front and didn't say a word to us upon departure. He also said the truck was at a quarter of a tank. Mind you, we had to drive 87 miles to our destination with a 3 month old in the other car....didn't have a whole lot of time to stop and get gas before we reached our destination. So that was a fun trip. Overall, a terrible experience considering we've used U-Haul several times in the past and have never had this sort of experience before.Rusty H.

Nice place but pretty much got fucked over for my storage reservation. Free month storage with truck rental seems to be a scam. I understand space is limited and equipment is also limited but don't let me reserve a specific storage unit only to find out when I go to unload my uhaul truck that it's not available. Had to make other arrangements somewhere else and pay. Not the end of the world but uhaul prices and convenience seems to be not so convenient. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. You got the feeling that you were inconveniencing them by even being there. Tried to turn in trailer at uhaul in Chiefland and Fanning springs, Florida. Neither would accept trailers. Had to drive all the way to Gainesville to turn in trailer. Cost me $35 in gas!Eugene P.

Not only did they misplace one of my u-boxes, they rented out a â€œrotationalâ€ truck to me to drive over 1,000 miles in. The girl at the counter seemed to give me the most recently returned truck. She gave me the keys and said â€œit's the one with the back door closedâ€ only for me to walk out and have the check 4 different trucks to locate the right one. The check engine light came on after three hours of driving. I called the roadside assistance service and the guy tells me to keep driving and stop when the vehicle is hard to drive. I had to ask him to send someone. Luckily I didn't do what he saidâ€¦ because there was no transmission fluid, low oil, and low air pressure in the driver rear tire. I thought that would do it, but the truck broke down again, forcing me to spend money on a hotel room and extra gas to get a new rental the next day. The delay caused an additional delay because I ended up getting caught up in a bag storm as well. I would've missed the storm if the vehicle was checked before rented! Overall, you made my move the worst moving experience I've ever had. I will always tell how horrible your service is and I'll always choose your rental service as the last option in the future. You should reimburse me for the additional hotel cost, gas to drive out of my way to get another rental, and the delay of not finding my box.SOLOMAN T.
The guy who did my installation was super helpful and friendly. He even updated the locking pin for me. My main complaint is that I had to take time out of caring for my dying mother to drive the hour to this location (which was the closest) only to have to wait over an hour past my pre-scheduled appointment time before my vehicle was worked on. It's kind of pointless to have appointments when you have to wait an hour longer just for the workers to arrive.Penny S.

The storage unit experience was great but it was really painful and not an easy process to cancel. We had called the facility several times, we emailed on several occasions. We were ready to pay for them to break the lock for a fee but we ended up having to drive there all the way from NC to take care of it. At the end it was done, but we ended up paying for at least 3-4 months of extra unneeded storage. We also had issues with the recurring payment option on the website. Got a dirty smelly vehicle, wrong mileage was reported and gas amount. When I brought it back the worker named yahtia Edward's had a terrible attitude. And since I told her about the difference in mileage than what was provided and showed proof with timestamp she decided to charge me a 25 dollar cleaning fee for a vehicle that was dirty already and I even documented that when I first got it in the checklist as best as I could. Then she argued with me saying if you have a vehicle on it increases your mileage on odometer even if it's in park. I ended up paying the bogus 25 dollar cleaning fee just to not have to deal with her for another second. I had the worst experience and for something advertised to be so cheap I ended up paying 102 for a one day rental. Please do something, I am so disappointed with my whole experience.Karah G.

From the moment I stepped up to the counter, the employees acted like they were just there to get their paychecks. They took forever and seemed completely distracted, they handed me paper and my key and then I left. They did not come out to do an inspection of the truck. The truck was full of trash I'm the cab and the back from the previous person that rented. They forgot to give me my dollies that were booked ahead of time and I had to travel all the way back to pick them up. After I was completely done moving, i filled up the tank. I was unaware of how much gas I was to put back in because the employee did not tell me. I let the manager, TJ know that I was not told how much gas to put in it and needed up putting more than $20 than what I needed to fill up the tank. He acted like I should have put it in and did not even thank me or offer a discount. I needed up paying way more than I needed. Very upset!Cassia S.

The storage unit was fine…but the office. Why have a direct number if I can't get ahold of anyone there?! Every time I tried to call the office it rang out to customer service offices. I tried to call the day before to cancel my storage unit. I couldn't get ahold of the office and had to talk to a customer service representative who had to send a message to the uhaul office. They couldn't close out my unit and had to wait for the office. The office did not reach out, did not cancel it. I called twice in one day to check if it had been closed out (it had not) I called the next day and the customer service representative had to find the number of the regional manager of the units and conference him in to cancel my unit and write off the charges for a new month because they didn't close it out when they were suppose to. Ebony and Janna were both very helpful. While looking for a specific U-Haul storage location in Newberry, I found myself unable to get through by phone (full voicemail box), so I drove there, putting additional miles on the box truck. The units in Newberry were fenced up, and there was no one around to help me get access to the unit I'd reserved. I asked some ladies who were power-walking past the units, and one said she hadn't seen anyone there in a long time, and another said she thought maybe they were closed down. If service is completely non-existent for the Newberry location, why was I even allowed to make a reservation online? What a waste of time amd gas and truck miles/money! So I headed toward Gainesville, and saw another U-Haul location in Newberry, called Midgard. So I stopped there to check prices and use the restroom. Their restroom door wouldn't shut properly (I felt if I dropped my pants that I would be exposed to anyone who tried to enter, since, no matter how I tried, the door would not latch), and their unit prices were high, so that eliminated Midgard as a choice. It was getting to the point where I was going to look for storage providers not affiliated with U-Haul. Then I went to the facility managed by Ebony. I was tired from driving and disappointments, and hungry on top of that. I explained to Ebony that I had never used an indoor storage unit before, and that I was confused about access and unloading/loading. Ebony took the time to show me around the facility, and located a suitable unit for me, despite limited availability due to it being the end of the semester at UF in Gainesville. She showed me how to use the access card reader, and was patient and polite throughout the process of getting me into the facility. Working with Ebony was a dream. I am currently caregiver for my loved one who has cancer. Moving was traumatic for me - having to move in two days from St. Petersburg FL to Gainesville to be with my loved one here in Gainesville. She tolerated my angst about your terrible website that charged me $89 for moving supplies I did not order. She reversed the charges, and proceeded to help me setup the storage unit I needed. From the day I arrived until the day I left I have had nothing but a great experience with the staff and facility. Staff rude on several occasions, keep double doors locked, don't answer intercom causing long walks to the front, didn't process auto pay so lock was on the door and took a week to have it removed because the girl who usually does it was out. Facility was nice, but the company seems very money hungry. Every time I called with questions, either they were not very knowledgeable or never called me back. Sneakily increased the rate and then said "it's just $5" when it's actually an extra $60 a year. They also told me it was because of demand but said that it would never go back down again no matter the demand. Also was unable to get reimbursed/prorated for an entire month after move out.
