The original location for drop off was the next closest location on Murchison. I would never send clients to that location. I'm glad we were re-routed to Gillespie.

They do not inspect their vehicles thoroughly upon return and supposed cleaning. Then they will try to charge you for previous damages. The link for damage report didn't work so thank God I was smart enough to take my own pictures. They over drafted my account charging me for previous damages. Taking up my time calling customer service to report them on top of still having to go back to the location to finally have them remove charges but not getting reimbursed for them over drafting my account. Most likely will never return to this location unless it's my ONLY option.

When I got the truck there was a dolly inside . I did not need nor did I use this dolly . I did not ask for it . Yet I got charged an extra 20$ for it . I HATE that the insurance is automatically added on even when I placed my order online and said no already .

Excellent service and attention; Mrs. Easely was very professional and answered all my questions, showed me the facility, which helped me to reach my decision. All representatives followed COVID procedures and made me and other patrons feel comfortable in the area. The only flaw was that this particular location does not offer a military discount, but Mrs. Easely explained to me the company policy, which should be revised, Fayetteville is military all over. Thanks for the good service.

Had a reservation for a storage unit about week out maybe longer than that and wasn't informed about the lack of availability they had for me. We went there with the intention of downloading our stuff in the same location as the rental turn in. But couldn't because they didn't have anything available, even with a reservation something that was promised on there uHaul site. They redirected us to another uhaul place with yet another promise of a storage unit there. They didn't. So in the end got storage unit in a non uhaul company and the experience was easier than that two hour poop show that was uhaul.

The wait time on line was to long. My pick up time was 10:30am and I was there early but I lost an whole hour of my time so I really only had the truck for 3 hours and I feel that was not right. Other then that my experience was good

Everything was fine except the cost it's too high in my opinion I found another unit somewhere else that is twice the size and cost less much less than what I was paying at uhaul so if I was to rate my experience from 1 to 10 ten being awesome I would rate it a 5 because cost matters a lot if you on a fixed income and I only get SSI I struggled every month to pay my storage fee so I will not use or recommend uhaul to my friends and family

I was charged for 2 days when I returned the vehicle after 3 hours and charged for a dolly that was still zip tied when i took the vehicle back. I have documentation and witnesses. I will be seeking legal ramifications if this is not adjusted.

I rated UHaul above average because my first reservation for 8/28/21 was canceled and I was notified on 8/27/21 due to no truck in the area. Since I originally placed registration on 8/7/21 and changed the date from 8/14/21 to 8/28/21, (and was confirmed via phone on 8/13/21), my reservation should have been honored and/or informed me of the last minute cancellation. Therefore, my overall rating is based on this whole experience and registration done on 8/7/21.

I rented a truck for our move which they informed me a qualified me for a month of free storage so I went ahead and opted for that decision $100 later I realized I never received a Free month so when contacting the facility it took me speaking to a higher up manager because the staff there that excepted my payment informed me there was nothing they can do now after speaking with the manager she said she would credit me the following month being August when I was settled in around 20 August I realized I had charges of $165 on my account now mind you I had already paid the first months rent upon getting keys for the facility it took me three days just to get in touch with somebody who had professionalism every time I called I received no greeting or was immediately thrown on hold I even waited 35 minutes on hold just to be rudely hung up on when I finally got a callback was when I received an email stating I was behind on charges and I replied saying until I spoke with somebody I was not going to make any payments finally a manager reached out to me and did her job if the customer service and lack of professionalism wasn’t enough we only had our things in storage for less than two months and brought an ant problem into our home thanks to it no matter where you are around the entire facility there is no pest control there are bugs and spiders everywhere we’ve had storage units in the past so I’m familiar with the pest control precautions that clearly this facility does not take into consideration I would not recommend this facility Being placed in Fayetteville is not an excuse to have Tacky unprofessional demeanor.

2 of my 3 containers came on time,. the last one still hasn't come and it is Aug. 30. I have made multiple calls, some tried to help, most didn't do much. I was assisted to make a complaint out at one point and then was called by Francisco Gomez who promised me Aug. 30 delivery date and call if I had any other questions. Never was able to talk to him again. Meanwhile got charged for Mesa storage and also Fayetteville storage. Why??? It should have been here and taken away already. At one point I had 3 new empty ones show up. Ha ha stopped them b4 they were unloaded. Rather a comedy of errors at this point. The 1st 2 were fine but this last one?? 26 days I've been patient but no more. Today I spoke with Casey in Sanford for the 3rd time. Each time she says "Ill call you back in a few seconds."{. First thing they teach you in customer service training is don't lie to the customer. She has yet to call me back and it's been a lot longer than "a few seconds." The delivery lady I had for drop off and pick up from Fayetteville was great at her job and very cheerful. So bottom line communication is really bad between the different offices. I would call Fayetteville and get VA or SC or even another NC office but no one can tell me anything, it's not their region. When you mess up for the customer, FIX IT!! and don't take nearly 4 weeks to do so.

The online application wouldn't allow me to check in so I just had to default at dropping the keys and contract without checking in. Making it more work for the morning staff v.v fixing location services, or reporting it as an issue might be a good idea for the next guy if it's been a problem noted before. (My location services were one, nothing was of issue on my end that I could see)

The U-haul App would not load pictures for the after hours drop off on 2 android phones but did allow pictures from an Apple phone. Luckily we had an Apple user with us at the drop off point. Other than that issue everything was flawless.

The only reason we are leaving is because we have a waterfront home with a new shelter for our trailer and boat. The U-Haul facility was awesome. We moved to Clayton NC and left our RV s there. No good covered storages in our area. We commutes to Fayetteville when we needed Ro get our RV s. thanks again!!

Bottom line: go somewhere else! I have served in the miiltary 22 years, and have moved 18 times. This UHaul UBox was one of the absolute worst experiences ever. The over the phone and website scheduling process allows for anything to be scheduled, with no consideration of what the local site can actually do. First, I scheduled 6 Uboxes two months in advance of the date needed. One week prior to the delivery, the local site called to confirm the date of delivery. The day before delivery, the local site called to move me two days later. Mind you, I had contracted moving help through the UHaul website. The new day for delivery finally arrived, and the local site calls me to delay my delivery again. At this point, I could no longer allow for the delay. I had to be out of the house, and I have UHaul contracted movers already delayed waiting for me to confirm the arrival of the Uboxes. I refused, and I was told that the Uboxes would be deliveried between 10-1pm. At 12pm day of delivery of Uboxes, I called the local site for a delivery update. I was told in one hour they would arrive. At 1pm, I called again and was told 20 min because the driver was weighing the truck empty (military moves require weight full and empty for reimbursements). The Uboxes finally arrived at 4pm. At this point, the contracted movers would only work 1 hour since they have already waited 3.5 hours. The driver returns two days later to pick up the Uboxes. The driver tells me that my full weight ticket will be in the bill of laden packing list when it arrives at my destination. I paid the movers $250 to do one hour of work. They filled all the heavy items, but took out all my drawers to the dresser, and did not put the drawers back. This took a lot of space from my Ubox, so my wife and I were left to take the dressers back out to make more room. Fast forward to destination, new city and new state. I receive a call from the local site stating my Uboxes have arrived. Great, when can you deliver? Site: we don't deliver. WELL, that would have been nice to know when I booked the departure location. So, now I had to rent a truck, move from the Uboxes to the truck, truck to my house, and by the way, they didn't have a truck big enought to fit my stuff. Screwed again! I start looking at the Uboxes packing list for my full weight ticket, and guess what I don't have. That's right! The full weight ticket that the driver said would be in the bill of laden packing list was not there. Surprise! So, now I have to weigh the UHaul truck empty and full. Such a sad process. I was helped by the employees at several moments throughout this process, but not one of them had a good thing to say about Uboxes, and some spoke very poorly about the company too.

I am the one who rented the U-Haul and when I did the check-in I made my son-in-law the primary driver. When I went to go pick up the truck they could not locate it under my name but they found it under my son-in-law's name. This was very confusing to me

This, "You'll see your return receipt in your email, Sir" doesn't cut it. I had to call to inquire we about my zero balance turn-in 5 hours after my 3:00 p.m. turn-in. The store manager called me four hours after I turned my trailer in to ask me if I was done with it and am I going to be bringing it in... Somehow, the person I turn my equipment in to and the store manger weren't on the, "same sheet of music" with regard to me having turned my trailer in on time... I suggest that you guys go back to requiring printed, service technician to customer, generated actual receipts upon turn-in to avoid this cluster-f___ in the future. Automation is cool, but it does not supersede person-to-person interaction that once optimized U-Haul and their affiliates five-star customer service.

The location for pickup was fine. What is totally unacceptable is the fact that I had to drive all the way from Erwin to Fayetteville to pick up a truck when I was supposed to pick it up in Dunn NC at The Corner Thrift Shop. Not only did I call Uhaul and spoke to a Representative who confirmed it was there on Thursday, but to get a text and email saying my rental was gone and that I'd have to drive 2 hrs almost was unbelievable to me. Your customer service line SUCKS! There is no other way to put it. I was on the phone holding for 3 hours on total! Your Chat also NEVER RESPONDED BACK when trying to ask questions there. What a 3 ring shit show! You even guaranteed a truck or $50 given. I have the email but did not receive ANYTHING from Uhaul. I will never use UHAUL again. And as well I will not tell anyone to use your services. Because if this is the way you do your customers why advertise your sub par services

The van had some sand and something yellow on the cargo area mat. The vehicle drove a little rough. The pickup was easy and although the store was busy the staff kept things moving. Self check in kept telling me my uhaul session timed out after I typed in the verification code that was text to me.

Initially (in 2017), I reserved a smaller A/C unit 6 weeks in advance. I even called a week prior to assure that everything was on track, which it was. The morning I was to take possession of the unit, I was informed that a man from Alaska came in and needed a unit ASAP. They gave him my unit. I was furious! They gave me a larger unit that was not air conditioned and was $40 more expensive per month. They gave me a small discount that month as a consolation. I was clearly dissatisfied. The manager did not care. Since then, my monthly rent has increased several times. I donated most contents just to get rid of this unit. I do not care for how this situation was handled, and I am thankful to be done with it.

The only issue I had was the rates were raised after a year. There were no added benefits, or changes to the site, it appears (at the surface) to just be a grab for more money. A 10% increase shouldn't happen within a year. This is just my opinion though.

The storage place in North Carolina was excellent but the one in Savannah Georgia was horrible they had me going to four different locations I was supposed to drop off the car there I was supposed to drop my fridge off there when I got there no one had no reservations for me at all finally I thought the address they gave me at first and went to gillspie and they waited on me and help me solve my situation cuz I was wasting gas and running all over Fayetteville spending money that I did not have. So I will be going in Monday morning to talk to a general manager

There were three people involved with getting me in the unit. Tinessa, Vernon, and some other guy seemed like a new employee, who apparently was off work after checking me into the unit. First, I was told that my contract was not correct for a one-way (one month free) rental of a 10x10 storage unit, so I paid for the 10x10 unit and then called the person who issued the contract to have it corrected. Then, I was told it would not qualify even if it was corrected to a one way by both Vernon and Tinessa because the distance has to be more than 100 miles from where I was moving, but then that changed to 50 miles a few minutes later, and that the distance was between store locations and not moving locations, not at all what I thought the original contract was for. After several minutes of trying to fix the issue, I was then informed by Tinessa that once the unit was rented out that I couldn't be refunded. I hadn't even put anything in the unit yet!! Honestly, if I'd know that half my day was going to be wasted arguing over one month of free rent on a storage unit, I would have just rented a larger one somewhere else for what I paid here. I will be needing another U-haul in the near future, but I will not be revisiting this location again.
