I paid money thinking my RV was secure because of the high fence surrounding the lot, the security cameras, and access only by key fob. Imagine my shock when I cranked up my RV and it sounded like a jet plane reviving its engines. Yes, my catalytic converter had been stolen. When I went to the office, no one seemed to know anything, including if this had happened to other customers, if the security cameras were reviewed and monitored, or if a security person ever checked the lot. My $1500 theft was met with blank stares and indifference. As I was standing there, I observed the camera monitor appeared scrambled - my first clue that security was a low priority. Then I walked to the back fence. It is heavily overgrown, making it easy for someone to enter and exit completely obscured from the cameras. The final nail in the coffin was the actual service technician who stated that "8 to 10 catalytic converters have been stolen from that very lot in the last several months." One guy had his RV repaired, returned it to the lot, and two weeks later was hit again. Really? And there has been no change in security protocols? Surely even a company in business to make a profit cannot find this an acceptable business model. A night watchman would not be out of the question. I have to wonder how many RVs sitting there don't even know yet that they have been vandalized. As for me, I'll take my chances with my RV sitting under a tree in my yard.Danny L. | Overall Experience

I was upset that the location for pickup was changed on me without any change in the number of miles allowed. I specifically chose the pickup location because it was a mile from the house I was moving out from. My experience with this rental was terrible! I made my reservation in April for a June move and i had to go to 3 separate sites on my pickup day to actually get my truck. Each site, although confirmed and scheduled through Uhaul did not have a truck available. At one site i actually had the agent try to give me a 15 foot truck in lieu of the needed/reserved 26 foot truck. This put my moving schedule a full day behind and required me to extend an additional day. For drop off my uhaul agent said they would not assign me a location until i got to my one-way location so we could find the closest one (at my request). But they actually assigned me one anyway that was 45 min away which required me to sit on the phone with uhaul for 53 minutes to get changed. Today i got my final receipt and it appears that i was charged for an additional day. I had called to extend one day and turn in on the 17th instead of the 16th (one day) but my receipt clearly charged me an additional 2 days, one of which was already charged when i reserved the truck. The added day was necessary due to the puck up being delayed 6 hours because i had to go to 3 separate uhaul truck rental sites. uhaul owes me $$ for one day that i was overcharged. This was my worst rental experience ever. Future needs will likely be filled bySCOTT W.

Absolutely terrible having to throw away thousands of dollars worth of stuff during a move because U Haul could not uphold the reservation. I had a paid for reservation for a 10ft truck when I arrived at the pick up location the facility was closed. I had arranged for mover help same day but because the facility was closed I was delayed 2hours and had lost an hour from the movers. Be more forthcoming with information regarding price change. I was told my the associate that if I needed to extend my time just to call. What was not mentioned was there would be another day added to your rental. When I called to extend by an hour, the person on the phone didn't let me know there would be an extra day added to my rental. I ended up turning the rental in 30minutes past my original time and was charged an additional day. If the information was relayed in a more customer concerning manner, I couldn't have made the choice to get it there on time or be alright with the extra day. I was charged for a fuel fee, stating fuel was 1/8th of a tank when the vehicle was clearly at 1/4 of a tank when dropped off, which is what was required. Personnel at the location did not provide any response for this discrepancy and essentially told me tough luck.Matthew M.

All the staff members were exceptionally friendly! When I arrived to pickup my rental trailer, it was raining pretty bad, and I never heard a single gripe or even mention of negativity, the staff member was incredibly helpful and polite, left with a smile on my face which is incredibly rare when it comes to buisness in the area. 10/10 would recommend!Jon L.

Issue came when moving out. I rented a truck from this location so I can load my unit and go. Drove from the apartment to the uhaul store to be told they moved my reservation to another location. Makes no scense I had to pay by the mile and had to go elsewhere for my truck. That not being the worst, when I drove to the new location the stated no trucks were available. Really waisting more time because of someone's inabilities. Than had to call the first place to yet again be sent further away to another uhaul which now put more time and miles on my car just to have to drive a uhaul back to my original spot 5 miles from my house and ad cost to my rental This added at minimum and extra 60 miles to my total as the original location was five miles from my house and the new once was around 17 Long story short waisted half and day and 100 between gas miles and personal cars gas getting the run around When discussing this to the location I got the oh well attitude. This place I do believe had people residing in the units. I've seen and heard on several occasions of me being there talking on the other side of my unit but when I drive around no doors are open nor cars visible near the talking and people that have an access card walk in and out the gate straight to the road. Excellent service and attention; Mrs. Easely was very professional and answered all my questions, showed me the facility, which helped me to reach my decision. All representatives followed COVID procedures and made me and other patrons feel comfortable in the area. I rented a truck for our move which they informed me a qualified me for a month of free storage so I went ahead and opted for that decision $100 later I realized I never received a Free month so when contacting the facility it took me speaking to a higher up manager because the staff there that excepted my payment informed me there was nothing they can do now after speaking with the manager she said she would credit me the following month being August when I was settled in around 20 August I realized I had charges of $165 on my account now mind you I had already paid the first months rent upon getting keys for the facility it took me three days just to get in touch with somebody who had professionalism every time I called I received no greeting or was immediately thrown on hold I even waited 35 minutes on hold just to be rudely hung up on when I finally got a callback was when I received an email stating I was behind on charges and I replied saying until I spoke with somebody I was not going to make any payments finally a manager reached out to me and did her job if the customer service and lack of professionalism wasn’t enough we only had our things in storage for less than two months and brought an ant problem into our home thanks to it no matter where you are around the entire facility there is no pest control there are bugs and spiders everywhere we’ve had storage units in the past so I’m familiar with the pest control precautions that clearly this facility does not take into consideration I would not recommend this facility Being placed in Fayetteville is not an excuse to have Tacky unprofessional demeanor.Oaklie R. | Overall Experience

Initially (in 2017), I reserved a smaller A/C unit 6 weeks in advance. I even called a week prior to assure that everything was on track, which it was. The morning I was to take possession of the unit, I was informed that a man from Alaska came in and needed a unit ASAP. They gave him my unit. I was furious! They gave me a larger unit that was not air conditioned and was $40 more expensive per month. They gave me a small discount that month as a consolation. I was clearly dissatisfied. The manager did not care. Since then, my monthly rent has increased several times. I donated most contents just to get rid of this unit. The storage place in North Carolina was excellent but the one in Savannah Georgia was horrible they had me going to four different locations I was supposed to drop off the car there I was supposed to drop my fridge off there when I got there no one had no reservations for me at all finally I thought the address they gave me at first and went to gillspie and they waited on me and help me solve my situation cuz I was wasting gas and running all over Fayetteville spending money that I did not have. There were three people involved with getting me in the unit. Tinessa, Vernon, and some other guy seemed like a new employee, who apparently was off work after checking me into the unit. First, I was told that my contract was not correct for a one-way (one month free) rental of a 10x10 storage unit, so I paid for the 10x10 unit and then called the person who issued the contract to have it corrected. Then, I was told it would not qualify even if it was corrected to a one way by both Vernon and Tinessa because the distance has to be more than 100 miles from where I was moving, but then that changed to 50 miles a few minutes later, and that the distance was between store locations and not moving locations, not at all what I thought the original contract was for. After several minutes of trying to fix the issue, I was then informed by Tinessa that once the unit was rented out that I couldn't be refunded. I hadn't even put anything in the unit yet!! Honestly, if I'd know that half my day was going to be wasted arguing over one month of free rent on a storage unit, I would have just rented a larger one somewhere else for what I paid here. I will be needing another U-haul in the near future, but I will not be revisiting this location again.SHAWN T. | First Impressions
