Poor customer service. Accessibility was poor. Couldn’t pull in to return trailer because of people parked in the entrance accessing their lockers. Spent more time waiting for employee than I had to use the trailer for.

usuallly when i rent i purchase the insurance direct from uhaul and it well worth first time i got safe trip and 30 minutes after picking up the van i locked my keys in a running vehicle call 800# and it was less than 30 minutes . my only thought is i should not be responsible for informing staff that the vehicle has mechanical problems this thought has also crossed my mind every time ive gotten uhauls insurance ive gotten a vehicle that needs to see a mechanic After 15 plus years of an account with uhaul i was informed on last rental the uhaul insurance does not cover wheel wells. why bumper to bumper insurance that was i was told at pick up and the friday day crew 25 below zero and the staff managed to start the vehicle for me did NOT CLEAN SNOW OFF and insisted it was of to drive the vehicle off the curb all employees were in break room eating and i actually went in break room to inquire about indicators light on dash like low tire pressure the return of vehicle on saturday great crew also the staff on saturday informed me about wheel well not covered

The staff member who set me up did not understand the computer system, it kept giving him errors so it took forever to check out. I set up automatic billing with him yet I got a notice in the mail stating I was late paying the first month so I had to call back to get it fixed and that took too long. The worst is finding out that you don’t pro-rate the rent so I paid for a full month but moved out early and you are now free to re-rent space 2222 and make money off of me and the new tenant for the same time period. Horrible customer service.

Open air trailer had about a foot of snow in it. A 6’x12’ trailer was the only option and was bigger than what was needed but still had to pay the full $45 for a two hour rental

The only issue I was charged 4 days versus 3 days The truck was returned on time I should have been charged 3 days as per the contract. Do not understand why this happened. Luckily I caught it and it took some time to make necessary adjustments and be charged 3 vs 4

Be more clear about your policies and fees. No one reviewed the contract with me. I was not informed I needed to check the mileage on the truck and take a picture until I returned it. Unfortunately I couldn't contest the mileage because of this, and I was charged 300 dollars. They said i drove 178 miles which is completely impossible. We used the uhaul to haul a few things to the dump, which is only 4 miles from our house, not a HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EIGHT. It was super frustrating. I would think that checking the mileage would be the job of the employee, not me, but if for some reason it's my job, the employees should tell me beforehand.

When it came time to return the vehicle we called the office to ask where the winterization plug was to plug in said vehicle after use for the day. Office said that particular vehicle didnt have a plug and to either return it or start it every 4 hours. We returned the vehicle and upon returning it at 730 pm, the guy was rude, and said it was pointless for us to return it and to just start it up. We have 2 small children and it is -18 degrees outside. Recommending to have better customer service, or have equipment that is meant for this weather in Alaska.

Took the truck with 3/4 tank of gas. Returned it almost full. No refund or discount is a little bit of stealing isn't it? Also the Employees were just acting like it's got nothing to do with them and telling me "it's a rule from corporate".

What you quoted for the estimated price to rent a truck for the day and what was actually billed was double what I was expecting. Access to your facility is terrible, and once in site, it was hazardous to navigate around the lot due to trucks and equipment parked everywhere. I’m not going to use U Haul any more.

Road access is limited. Being near a overpass gives access from 2 directions only. Snow removal in parking was poor. Computer equipment not maintained. Workers were helpful and kept things going.

I was very apprehensive in booking a rental with this Uhaul location, as I have received VERY POOR customer service in the past-- however, it seems that they truly do listen to reviews and surveys because the interactions I had with all of the staff this time was FANTASTIC. There was one small logistic problem: I night-dropped a pick-up truck rental, but the key-fob does not fit into the key drop box. Other than that fix, it was all great!

The amount of time need for pickup was excessive. The gentleman working said at least one person had called in sick, however, 45-55 mins to pick up a trailer after doing the online check in seems excessive

The printer at the location wasn't working so I didn't get a chance to read the contract before I had to take the equipment. There wasn't enough staff to assist us when we first got there, we had to wait 20 minutes and walk around the property to find someone. The first dolly they tried to give us had a light that wasn't working, so then they had to run around and try and find another one that was fully operational. It was frustrating and a waste of my time. Also, there was no information about how to return the rental. We were done within 2 hours of picking up the equipment and did what the person who finally helped us told us to do, which was to drop it anywhere on the property. Then, at 11 pm, just over 5 hours after I rented the equipment and was going to bed, and well after the people who were helping me move the car were already gone, I got a text with the information about how to return the rental and how I had to do it on-site or get charged another $20. So I had to get dressed, drive over to the location, move the dolly so it met the requirements listed in the directions, take a photo, and then finally come home. So now it is an hour later, and I am late getting to bed because there was a complete lack of communication about how to return the dolly. I will not rent from uhaul again, and I will make sure that I encourage my friends and family to rent elsewhere.

After waiting to be helped for about 35 minutes to rent the vehicle, I left without being helped. I had return after picking up my help. There was another wait before being helped. They were short staffed. When the vehicle was returned, it took about an hour. These waiting times are unacceptable. The workers were polite but the long wait was unpleasant.

The Staff at this location are exceptional! With every visit, Shannequa continually exceeded & went beyond expectations in customer service; the gentlemen did as well! The overall problem and major issue is the computer system!! They all experience sheer frustration at the speed of data transfer & crashing of the system. Corporate U-Haul needs to seriously equip this location with the proper connectivity necessary to match the employees desire to efficiently & effectively do their jobs. The wait for service can be excruciatingly long, through no fault of the employees. Please address this issue promptly.

Look at the fluids ie transmission or engine oil that sort of thing the truck I had had low transmission fluid or old burnt transmission fluid it was shift not very well when it was well but over all excellent like usual

This uhaul, with 127,000 miles, had brakes that would sometimes engage only by pressing hard while sometimes pressing a little made the truck immediately stopped. The truck occasionally increased RPM on its own, even when pressing the brakes. Within 17 miles I used about 2 gallons of gas during city driving. I would never drive this quality of a vehicle again if I had a choice. The vehicle had incorrect mileage and incorrect fuel levels on the contract given to me. I showed this issue. I was asked to do a electronic walkaround on my own (no car rental agency has ever asked me to do this) , take photos of the gas and mileage and then once I am done on my own walk back in and ask for and obtain a new contract. This felt as a ridiculous attempt on behalf of uhaul to excessively try and cut costs and an extremely low impression of customer service and human interaction in this rental. I also learned, unbeknownst to me who had previously rented with uhaul years ago that now it is cheaper to rent if you reserve online before renting.

Even at the last minute when I had to trade out tow dolly for a car hauler on Labor Day, the day I was leaving Fairbanks, they were quick and efficient. This really helped alleviate my anxiety about my BIG move! Thank you!

Key wasn't in box, clerks couldn't find it.... took over 30minutes for someone to realize it was in their pocket. Back of truck inside box had dirt and leaves ... we had to clean it before using it to move our couch so the couch didn't get dirty.

Both trailer tires were starting to bald; despite this it was given to us for the 3K+ mile trip we intended to take. This resulted, predictably, in a blowout during our first day of driving. Fortunately, UHaul roadside service was able to get someone out quickly who changed both the blown out tire AND the non-blown balding tire.

Never can get a car hauler trailer they are always "down for maintenance" I waited a few days same issue I needed a trailer so I had to drive 6 hours to the closest store with a trailer and do a 1way rental.

Could not get into the lock box manager tried to pick the lock he did not have the master key to open the lock boxes. I kept asking him just give me another Van which he finally did but stormed off into the office. To bad James retired he was great.

Moved out July 28, 2018. Unit 1067 had standing water in it. Mold crepping up the back wall. Our furniture has mold now. Staff person uninterested in our complaint about this.
