The tire pressure was low on two tires. The air compressor available on site worked well but the air pressure guage was broken so I had to use my own tire pressure guage. The check engine light came on and stayed on. I had no issues with the van, it was clean and in good condition, but in need of some service. People on site were friendly.Glen C.

The only complaint I had was about the smell inside the truck, I know this is not the locations fault for odour of cigarettes and potent smell of sweat but the fault of previous users/drivers. It would be nice maybe to add an air freshener for these cases.omeed A.
The pickup truck that I rented was parked in a long line of pickup trucks that were literally parked nose to tail with about 5 inches of clearance between bumpers. There was no offer to take it out of line for me. It took me about 15 minutes of minute maneuvering in order to get it out without hitting anything. While I have experience driving large vehicles, I'm sure others don't and would have been terrified of hitting something.Kenneth R.
Acknowledge customers waiting in line and ask if they are only dropping off vehicle and take the keys. We waited about 15 - 20 mins in line before anyone acknowledged us only to realize that all they needed was the keys and that a receipt would be emailed. Literally a 5 second transaction. Front cabin area of the vehicle could also use a cleaning. However i would still recommend to anyone who is in need for a rentalDianne R.

Second time to have a 6x12 trailer that was not roadworthy. This time the brakes were MIA as the fluid bottle was empty, obviously due to a system leak. Didn't notice until it was fully loaded and changing units was not an option. Adding some of my own didn't help as the lines were now air bound. Duly reported to U-Haul hotline upon drop off in the other city so it could be pulled from service. That being said, at time of pickup the chap doing the hook-up was most congenial and helpful, checked all the tire pressures upon request and topped one up as it was only a few PSI low.L C.

need a better way to connect trailers to vehicles... I had to lift it onto the ball which was extremely heavy. When it came time to remove I couldn't lift it high enough... luckily I found a tow dolly to help - but seems like either trailers should all have built in jacks, or staff should assist with the connection process.Stephen C.

I have rented many times from this location. Never have I had a poorer experience. Waited for more than an hour to be serviced. The manager who was looking after another customer started yelling at the customer in front of me. Accusing him of swearing while he was talking to someone else on his phone. Said she would not rent to him. Was not any of her business who he was talking to. I did not hear him swear. There was 5 other customers who were hearing her yell at him. She also let two other customers move in front of me who indicated they had questions. These questions turned into 10 min each. Finally when I was serviced she asked for a secondary phone number that she wanted to call to confirm I was who I was. Have never had that been asked before. Wanted my credit card info and license also. I had completed U-haul rapid check in on line with all this info the night before. I thought that the rapid check in would speed up renting. Obviously not as it took over an hour to rent a trailer. Will never rent from this location again.Robert R.

The cargo van I rented was in stock as promised and clean and full of gas. All good on those points. The store had all the moving essentials and good price on renting blankets and accessories for the move so I would use the location again for sure. However I was not happy with not being able to get through on the phone on 3 occasions to say I was going to be a bit late. When I got there the poor girl was alone with no help on a weekend. Staffing one person is not fair to the employee or the customers. She looked tired and hungry and customers were lining up and phones ringing. Staffing has to improve esp on a weekend. the Gentlemen who helped me was unbelievable so friendly and knowledgeable and i would could back because of him. My trailer was 3 hours late i got lucky a one way came in so i got that one. The lady who started to help me when I arrived was more interested in her phone conversation told me to hold on and never came back. We ordered a furniture dolly on wheels a few days ahead, and there wasn't one available on the day of our rental. We also ordered blankets and a utility dolly and expected them to be in the truck as per the online ordering system, and none of this occurred. We had to go back and ask for these items.Cathy L.
The team was very helpful. I was a walk in on a Saturday of a long weekend. The staff were very accommodating considering all vehicles were reserved. I was told to wait for about half an hour for a van to be returned. I was on my way in less than an hour.Charles K.

Worst customer service and rude general manager. General manager name : Asmita Bakshi Uhaul pick up location : 1472 the Queensway etobicoke Order no : 96993891 I booked uhaul for 4 hours between 10 am to 2 pm and got my uhaul at 10:15 am after waiting for 25 minutes in store. The general manager was doing my contract and THREATENED me to not give the uhaul as if I get late by 2 pm and if I get late there will be charges for than 200 dollars that she can put. I still return the fueled up truck by 1:30pm but got a extra charge of 5 dollars of God knows why. I am so sad that people with some little power goes into their head that they can harass others. I booked the U haul for 24 hrs. I was told that I'll be charged per km basis. But after a couple of hours I started getting calls to return the truck since they'd done multiple reservations on th same truck. I was charged twice with the base price.nakul R.
Truck broke down within 5 minutes of leaving the U-Haul parking lot. Walked back to U-Haul and was told nothing they could do and to call roadside assistance. Waited 4 hours, was told to drive the car back to U-Haul despite it not being safe, the truck started breaking down again on the queens way. Terrible experience.Mehdi G.

I had a bad experience at this location. First, there was line of customers and one counter open while I could see employees walking around in the store. Then when it was my turn at the counter, I was told that I couldnt rent without a Canadian driver license. This was inspite of me having reservation and had entered my information online. I had to call customer service and then go back and see the manager. Took me over 1.5 hours to rent while I had the reservation and should have taken only few minutes.Vik C.
Always explain the number on the keyholder is not the truck plate number but the number written on the truck at the top. We spent more than 20mins looking for our truck checking both the front and the back and had concluded the truck was not there. It was a staff outside the building that had to explain it.Okibe A.
I reserved furniture pads and a furniture dolly with my vehicle online. When I arrived to pick everything up I did not received either of these items. I was told they are first come, first serve. If that was the case they shouldn't have let me RESERVE them online. They had furniture dollys for sale and I asked them to lend me one and I would return it, since I reserved one for my move and they failed to keep their commitment in providing me with the things I ordered. The employees asked their manager and she proceeded to yell at them in front of us and other customers. She said they were bothering her for such a small thing and they didn't handle it well. I felt bad for the employees who were only doing their job and said so to the manager. I told her she was the one who was handling poorly and that she shouldn't be yelling at them especially in front of all these people. I ended up having to buy a furniture dolly for $30 because they wouldn't honour the reservation items I had and I ended up having to use my own blankets as furniture pads which are now dirty and destroyed because they are obviously not meant for moving. Moving is such a stressful experience and to do it without the right tools only adds that. My experience using the uhaul website was great but the pick up process was disappointing and stressful. Had they told me online they didn't have the moving supplies I needed or even called me ahead of time and let me know, I could have sourced them elsewhere instead of buying it from them at a high cost last minute. The first van was still soaking inside from a cleaning (at least the cleaning was done) - but since I was moving boxes a wet cargo area wasn't helpful - they cheerfully changed the van - the second van was very helpful (but a nasty grinding noise and the check engine light was on so that was a little tense) - otherwise it worked out well ThanksDerrek L.

I raised a complaint regarding your service not only was the rented truck not at the Mississauga location as stated in the email but we were told to drive to Etobicoke to pick up a truck which took away an hour of time which of course means we had to pay an extra hour for the removal company hired . We then had to drive the truck back to Etobicoke Gas prices being what they are we are not happy . Moving is chaotic enough, to go through all this only added to an already stressful situation.jason F.

Uhaul is excellent ! This particular location has surly personnel , impossible to talk directly on the phone with . When you call their local number , the don't answer and the national switchboard picks up. Arrangements are then successfully and legally made with pleasant helpful representatives. However the location refuses to abide by them, making absolutely silly idle threats.Angelio C.

The front desk agent was efficient. I didn't catch his name, but he told me he was from Mexico. Every rental from this place, the gas is never at a full tank. Today was no different. There needs to be accountability that you fill up your vehicles before renting them out.Sohail M.

This is a disgrace of a location for U-Haul. I've rented trucks from U-Haul for numerous moves at different locations and have never had an issue. Yet, this storage U-Haul location is awful. The management and staff are impossible to communicate with because they never answer their phones and the staff are not properly trained. I was charged twice for a lock I bought for my locker and they refused to assist and refund me in the matter. I also was told by the staff when I first got to the facility that they would have to see if they had storage available, when I already reserved my storage unit online (stating it was available). Fortunately they had one unit left but it took them an hour to figure out how to assist me. They took my credit card information as they said they would make automatic monthly payments on my card for my unit. However a month later I'm getting calls stating I'm late with paying. Why did they take my credit card information? Is that being used by an employee? Such an awful experience. I would not recommend. The only reason I gave this location a "2 stars" is because the actual storage units suffice to store your items. Honestly a self-serve storage locker facility would probably be better. Hi - the picture on the website does not match the storage units. I wanted a drive up but you have trucks parked down the middle of every aisle making it extremely difficult to get my car in and impossible to back up into it. It's nearly impossible to speak to someone on the phone unless you have extreme patience. 9 times out of 10, I was on hold so long that it transferred me to the U.S.A. My experience with the storage option at 1472 The Queensway was among the worst customer experiences I've ever had. I was offered a free first month as I usually am with my reservations, given the fact that I have a corporate account. When I took the offer the sales associate confirmed this with me at the time the first month would be free and proceeded to process the transaction. Only after I was all moved in called me to tell me that there had been a mistake. They subsequently threatened to "cut the lock if I did not return to the store and dispose of all my items." They had called me after hours to tell me this! The store closed at 7:00pm on Wednesday and they called me at 7:45pm after I had already gotten to my house and returned the truck! Completely inappropriate on behalf of U-Haul especially consider I spend thousands of dollars every month renting equipment from this company and this exact location! They then proceeded to steal a total of $271.49 from me by charging my account without authorization! What kind of organization does that! I am taking further action and will consider strongly closing my account with U-Haul at the end of the month after I've fulfilled all my business obligations.Derrell H. | First Impressions

Trying to get a hold of someone to close my contract was an awful process. The general manager did not respond to any of my emails and I could not get through by phone. Uhaul should not have an online move out portal if I you're just going to make customers go in to the facility in person.
