STEVEN W.my location was moved to a different location than I reserved and the clerk assisting me wasn't very friendly. The trucks were parked so close to each other that the driver had to get in through the passenger side and climb over. The location change added miles to my trip when a 15†truck was at the location that I reserved.

Douglas L.The truck itself was very clean. It was not maintained in the way that I'm used to UHaul, taking care of their vehicles. There was a rubber gasket falling off the door and stuck out when you closed the driver side door. I noticed that when I picked up the vehicle. Then, I immediately physically saw & felt that it desperate needed an alignment. This made it very difficult to drive and made me extremely nervous; which is 100% unacceptable and unnecessary when somebody is moving!! U-Haul is in the business of people moving… You should know this and I should be able to go unsaid! The presentation was extremely unprofessional, and it was like you didn't even care about your customer! I have never had a U-Haul that was also extremely hard to unlock! Your equipment was just really terrible this time. Also apart from the physical damages noticed, the process of picking up is supposed to all be on your phone. Why did I still have to go into the clerk to pick up the keys?? And then my card was being declined online, so I still had to go inside again!, to pay. Online, I was quoted for about $33. I was then approved… And it was 54/$55. My entire experience yesterday was really shoddy and shady. There's no point in doing anything on your phone if you still have to go INSIDE to pick up the keys and/or pay. The equipment was subpar, and your Systems quoted me wrong or I was overcharged. I can say that the gentleman who process my payment and handed me the key, was very polite and his customer service was great. He is at no-fault for my experience yesterday! My experience with him however does not overshadow, my laundry list of issues that I experienced yesterday! I will not be coming back.
Joshua W.I'm very pleased with U-Haul services, everything was great, however, I was overcharged but U-Haul corrected the error and quickly reimbursed me from the charge. I greatly appreciated everything U-Haul provided me especially with Excellent Customer Service and Experience. I always their services always from their 26 foot trucks to their small hitches. Thanks U-Haul for all your services !!!
ALBERTA D.Happy with this location but very unhappy with the overall process. I scheduled the pick up on Refugee Rd. in Pickerington. When I made the reservation it said someone would call me by 6 pm Friday. That didn't occur so I called the Refugee location approximately noon on the 19th. They confirmed my pickup for after hours at the Refugee location and told me about using the code and lockbox, etc. I did everything I could to ensure that it was all set because we had people waiting with commitments to help load. We had to go to the South Hamilton location! We lost an hour by the time we were checked in and leaving. Very very frustrating to have the people wait for an hour and we had to leave for another commitment before things were put together after unloading.

I find it completely unreasonable that when I direct dial a local location after 4 rings it puts me into the nationwide support cue most often connecting me with someone who can't help me in any way because my question or business relates directly to the location. Please fix the automated call system to provide an option to remain in cue for the next available representative AT THE STORE. Having spent several HOURS in cue to talk to people who were incapable of fulfilling my needs as related to my rental experience, I can say with complete objectivity that your automated call system sucks. I have rented from you many times in the past without a hitch (pardon the pun) but this time everything went wrong on so many levels that I was terribly disappointed. It was clear that your call centers were overwhelmed. I will be using your trailers to unload my storage when I get the keys to my next house, please fix the local branch calling options if you can't get enough qualified people to answer phones. The added pressure of starting a day late with a truck that I couldn't pick up because the pickup location was closed for the next several days after I was unable to pick it up on time due to payment issues and having to juggle funds. Getting less than helpful 'help' from your call centers wasted your money, my time and frustrated me completely. Had this been my first experience using U-Haul to move my property, I would certainly never again willingly risk subjecting myself to the anxiety and stress that I went through this week. Only that I have had many satisfactory or better experiences with your company will I spend my money with you again. Sincerely, Kurt Chapman

James G. | Overall ExperienceI really liked having large carts on site to help move in with. There is no light in my unit and I find this very inconvenient. Hopefully there is an outlet nearby so I can bring an extension cord and light in. It was very clean and the floors were nice and smooth for rolling carts. I wish there were more access doors since I'm at the very end of a hall, but it works. If there had been others unloading or loading at the same time, this would have been a big issue. The access scanner Is way too short when you're in the truck, so you're forced to get out to scan in and out. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of 24/7 access. The gate locks at 10pm. I'm not sure what would happen if I was still inside, but it forced me to rent an extra day of my truck just to finish unloading. If the office closes at 7, what's the point of having a lock time of the gate? I raced back just to get there in time, but I would've only had 20 min. Maybe if check-in hadn't taken 45 min (even though I did check-in mobile the day before), I would've had time. For fear of getting locked in, I had no choice but to pay for another day...that included all the extras I didn't even need since I was just staying a few miles from the location. The units are nice, nice lock provided, I just hope there's a plug somewhere in the hall or I'm a bit screwed. I'd recommend the units.

A week after I moved out I got a call saying there was no lock on the room. I explained I moved everything and the desk clerk told me she would check it an evidently did not. The following week I received a message saying a payment was due on the 27th of June. I suggest better efficiency.
