I got charged inappropriately- when I asked to speak with the manager she was nowhere to be found. I had to leave after waiting for 30 minutes (all on camera). Customer service was lacking attention and interest. Waited a very long time to pick up our reservation, we were a a little late to pick up, and our reservation was cancelled, not a big deal. Employees are very terse and rude. Employees stated that the Uhaul app doesn't work and that all customers must come inside the store for their rentals so they can verify they don't have a debit card rather than a credit card. I already spent half an hour in the app before arriving only to have to do the rental all over again. Far from convenient. I wasn't able to check the truck back in in the app either. My photo of the mileage wouldn't process. The truck I reserved was being loaded with trash by am employee when I arrived so they had to switch me to another truck. They refused to answer why they doubled the price of my collision damage waiver from my reservation price in the app and would only say it would go back to normal when I checked the truck in. When I was walking out of the store the manager yelled at me in front of aine of customers that if anyone but me drove the truck they would call the police on me and have me arrested. Worst Uhaul store I ever been in anywhere in the country!!!!Brandelynn F.

The truck I was given was a propane truck. I had trouble starting it every time I started it including when I picked it up. They do not give adequate instructions to start the propane truck. Every time I called in because it wouldn't start I got different advice. You need to write something up to give to your propane truck customers the little blurb on the dashboard is definitely not sufficient. I never want to rent a propane truck again. And since it was a propane truck if I brought it after they had closed I would've been charged $25 extra. So I ended up putting more mileage on it than I had to because I couldn't drop it back and pick up my car and since I was afraid to stop it I didn't stop for food on the way home. I was paying two people $15 an hour to help me move and spent like 25 minutes of the day trying to get this truck started. It was not a pleasant experience. Sunday morning when I was supposed to bring it back I couldn't get it started for over an hour. Finally the third or fourth time I called in sunny morning someone gave me a hint that worked and would've been nice if it was given to me when I picked up the truck. Seems like you need to see a green wrench and when I finally got a green wrench while picking up the truck I asked the guy if that meant needed maintenance and he said no and that is all he said about it. It seems that the propane trucks are also notorious for having the wrong mileage. When I called him about the second time that it wouldn't start (I was on hold a half an hour the first time I called him) I was told I had to contact outside assistance which you have to do online no way to contact them otherwise I marked that I wanted to be given a phone call and later was sent a text. When I finally got it started after an hour I tried to cancel it but I was driving so I asked somebody at U-Haul if they could they said no you need to do it then I said I can't I am now driving since I finally got the truck started. Again not a pleasant experience. To my years of renting U-Haulâ€˜s some of them have been pretty ratty looking but at least they Worked!!! Oh and I kept getting the question from roadside assistance does the truck sound like it's trying to start. It was a propane truck there was no starter noises duh which is the answer I kept sending them. And I forgot to give your customer choice of getting a phone call from roadside assistance then they need to give you a phone call!!!!!!sharon T.

Fix the self-service lockbox. I was expecting to get on the lot, check-in, grab a key from the lockbox and be on my way. But instead, I had to check-in, figure out where all the self-service vans are, and actually go inside the building to pick up the keys. This kinda defeats the purpose of the mobile app.Christna K.

Poor communication skills. I was over charged for something out of my control and the store manager didn't want to talk to me. I had to call corporate to get things resolved. I've used uhaul for years, and never had an issue until now at this location.Ana D.
The truck had starting problems to begin with yet the workers still rent it out to me. They didn't say which key works and which key doesn't. The engine wouldn't start at home after we finished loading stuff in, and had to call roadside assistance to help. It took 3.5 hours from the time the truck stopped working to later when the mechanic figured out it was the key causing problems. One key turned the truck on, but it doesn't turn the engine on.. and the other key (aka working one) is hard to turn and you have to wiggle it for 20 seconds before it works. It just made my moving day so much more stressful than needed. I was pretty disappointed when I called to ask for help and all they could say is â€œwelph that's all we can help you with- the key has a sweet spot, good luckâ€. U-Haul roadside assistance customer service and the mechanic they sent out were very helpful and nice though. I would not recommend renting a truck here in the future unless you REALLY check everything.Hoang Uyen L.
Going through the process of picking up and returning the van was good, very quick. The major problem was that there was livestock dung all over the bed of the van. We had to line the floor and breathe through our mouths. I was in a hurry and the van was only available for 4 hours so I didn't check the back of the van or turn around due to how much the van reeked but wish I did. I don't understand how the driver pulls the van up and thinks it is ok to rent it our that way. You should also find out who dropped off the van in the condition because that is bullshit thing to do.John K.

Ive rented equipment from several uhauls frequently including pickup trucks and auto trailer and after having a confirmation that the equipment was going to be available the location tells me that they dont rent pickup trucks with trailers and that I needed to take a box truck if I was going to tow. By that time I was already scheduled to pick my car and had no option to take the box truck which meant spending more on fuel and on mileage. The trailer was extremely old made in the 80's. It served our purpose but according to my son in law it wasn't the best trailer to have. It was visually clean but actually dirty from years of use. It was hard to close with its handle. Son in law did not like how it rode with his vehicle. Staff was friendly and place seemed nice. They just might want to retire this trailer soon.Heidi M.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WATCH OUT FOR THE FRAUD HAPPENPING AT THIS LOCATION. THEY GIVE YOU A LINK TO TAKE THE PICTURES AND UPLOAD BEFORE YOU RENT A TRUCK, THEY KNOW IF YOU DID NOT TAKE ANY PICTURES EXPECT A BIG SURPRISE. I AM SURE MANAGEMENT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I RENTED A TRUCK FOR 2 HOURS - EST CHARGES IS $45 AND I GOT A FINAL BILL FOR 200+ AND I KNOW THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK, I KNOW WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF ANY DAMAGE. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY DAMAGE AND SOME HOW THEY PUT THE OLD DENTS AND SCRATCHES AS NEW DAMAGE. I WENT TO THIS PLACE AND ASKED FOR PRINTED BILL AND SAW THE TRUCK AGAIN, ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY FIXED ALL THE DAMAGE AND CLEANED THE CAR. TECHNICALLY THERE WAS NO DAMAGE DONE BUT I GOT A BILL FOR $200. I AM SURE THE MANAGERS ARE WELL AWARE OF THIS FRAUD AND THEY WANT TO RUN HIGH BILLS FOR WHATEVER REASON. REPORTED THIS TO THE CONSUMER RIGHTS AND TOOK A VIDEO THAT SHOWS NO DAMAGE.Karunakar G.

U-Haul was good. Equipment was good but DO NOT hire their movers!!!!! I was given a courtesy call from Top Notch movers and spoke to Brad. Very nice abs professional. Was sent out two of his workers Jacob and Brian and that's where it went bad. The two drivers called me because they were unable to find the location. They had music blaring in the background and cursing at each other while I'm trying to give them turn by turn directions. The movers showed up smelling like booze and weed. Didn't bring any equipment with them. We loaded up all boxes into the truck so they would only have to worry about the bigger pieces. They had no idea how to move anything with haste knowing very well they were on a hour by hour bases. Once truck was loaded. We drove the truck to the new location and they stayed behind and we saw them smoking weed in their truck as we pulled away. They delayed more as they took longer to show up to the new location and again were so slow moving things off the truck. We were already clocked at 2.5 hours even though we loaded most of the truck so we had to jump in and start unloading ourselves or it would have ran up to 10 hours for a 2 bedroom apartment. After I paid what I was invoiced for I let Brad know of damages that had occurred in the old apartment and to our furniture. He asked for pictures after we were able to settle the next day. Our tv stand was knocked around and bit with screws falling out of it but still useable but our new dining table had a bad chip on the top and the old apartment was left with a chuck of drywall taken out. Of course the movers told Brad that they didn't do it. After I sent pictures as requested I was never gotten back to. Now stuck with damaged furniture and wall damage I will have to pay for. DO NOT HIRE TOP NOTCH MOVERS.Jessica P.

I secured storage at this facility based on the fact it had electricity and water as well as a dump station and access to LP. The water was broken, and the electric is toggled. I am overall neutral on my experience with this storage unit. I rented online and the process was smooth. The online process said there would be a lock already in the unit which was important to me because I was moving in at 5am and the office wasn't open for me to buy a lock. The lock was not inside the unit so I had to leave my unit and all possessions unlocked. I did however have an issue with the gentleman who was hanging out in the halls of the facility at 5am. I felt unsafe. Unfortunately for me I had a flight to catch and had no choice but to move my stuff in so I could catch my flight and return to work. From the airport I called the facility and was told they are aware of the gentleman I mentioned and although "he is weird he is harmless". That is their words, not mine. The service received was great. We needed quick storage with accessible size. The tight hallways and having to use the elevator made it difficult to move all our items in, thus we had to seek storage elsewhere. Accessibility was reviewed and discussed before renting this space, and up sizing was an option with prorated credit for unused time to add a unit. I did not ask about early termination and the possible prorated refund. Having used the unit for less than two weeks I would have thought a prorated credit would have been given. Plus a possible penalty fee. The 10x15 unit cost $216.13, which included a $15 word lock. Rough estimate I still had a value of $106 of unused rent. If not all of the $106, at least a good portion of it should have been refunded. The unit was left clean and usable as the first day I moved in. I would have appreciated being told upfront that there was no refund for early termination having expressed my concerns of accessibility upfront. Bruce ABruce A. | Overall Experience

The moment I walked in I was politely greeted, and given assistance by Rebecca with my storage rental. My options were explained and a tour of the unit was given to be sure that it would work for my needs. I purchased a WORD lock so not to have to keep up with another key, and a 24hr access to meet my schedule needs. I locked out my unit and left. We started our move in at 8:30 pm which is after hours and for whatever reason I couldn't get my lock to open. I called the after hours phone number and Anita and crew were there to assist in less than 30 minutes. I was highly thankful and impressed with this quality of service. Great location. Good price. Opening the gate using a FOB is a great feature. Extremely limited access to electricity (two hours per day) is a significant problem for maintaining RV batteries using trickle chargers. The gravel drive and heavy commercial traffic keeps my RV covered in thick white powder. First class RV dump site, but why no water hose to clean up? Annoying to say the least. The only problem was the electric. When it got cold last year we had to bring our motor home to our house so we could keep it plugged in and warm. You need to allow more time for electric use. También para completar el Truck se quedó sin batería 10:30pm y enviaron ayuda dentro de 60-75 minutos la demora (resolví yo) por que la ayuda no llegó a tiempo larga espera. Basado a esta experiencia califico el servicio soy honesta. Antes no había tenido este tipo de experiencia, deben estar al pendiente de lo que busca su cliente, revisar la transacción antes de finalizar el proceso y de esta forma evitar errores con los clientes. Deberían mejorar el servicio en la calle, ya que a la hora de rentar truck añadimos un seguro $$ para servicio en la calle etc… un servicio que brilló por su ausencia. I reserved a 10 x 20 online weeks in advance. I showed up to the facility the day before move in to check in and complete any paperwork. Only to find out that this location did not have 10 x 20 and we would be receiving two 10 x 10 next to each other. When we show up to move in the next day they give us (4) 5 x 10 . This ended up being such an inconvenience as the units were so tight it made it very difficult to stack our items. We ended up having to buy another unit due to this. If I would have been informed prior to what we were actually getting the day before when we checked in I would have choose a closer unit to the house. I choose this location as it had what it advertised we needed. We set up our rental for auto pay each month. The first month we got a late notice on the day it was due along with a late charge. Simultaneously, they also reached out to the emergency contact person we were required to provide upon leasing the unit. When we called and asked what happened to the auto pay we set up, the agent checked on it. We got a half-hearted "oops…I guess the paperwork was never put into the system." After all of that, when we couldn't get a reputable moving company to help before the end of one month of rental but got everything out the first day of a new rental month, U-Haul wouldn't give us any kind of a pro-rated rental. They demanded a full month's rent for a few hours. We were out by noon. I made a reservation for a unit online only to find out when I arrived that online reservations don't mean anything. Instead of being helpful, the employees that we spoke with told us, "There's nothing we can do. You need to take it up with whoever made the website." I asked if they had any units available, something that they should have offered me, and they told me that I could probably make due with one unit that was slightly smaller. I went to the unit and realized that there was no way that my things would fit. I went back to the office and they gave me two small units that were about the size of the unit that I originally wanted. When I drove back over to check them out, one of them was locked. I drove back to the office and was told that they needed to contact the person who was currently occupying the unit. I told them to call me when they figured it out. I waited for 3 hours and called them as they were closing within the hour. They told me to come back and they would give me two other units. This location is well managed with helpful staff (in my opinion). I always feel safe and that my belongings are safe. There are "working" alarms, and cameras are everywhere. They make pest control a priority. The building is always clean and well maintained, and carts were always available when needed, at no charge. The ONLY a negative is that sometimes the loading/unloading area is not unavailable. The cars parked there are unattended (sometimes with sunshades are up in the windshield), so clearly NOT loading/unloading). To be honest I had an awful experience with the manager at this location on 8/6/21 as she tried to CHARGE me for a Day of rental service that I did NOT USE because I was returning the truck within the allotted time frame! Actually 20 minutes earlier as well as VOID the INSURANCE policy that I purchased. She stated that the insurance DOES NOT COVER the BODY of the truck nor the tires or overhead and I was wondering what did it cover she failed to tell me that but she presented almost $400 worth of charges to me and I had to dispel everyone of them because I purchased the insurance that she did not understand. I scraped the skirt on the truck which would have been the eighth noted damaged spot on the truck that was rent d to me because the rest of had claims stickers due to being covered by the insurance policy…. We moved from Michigan to Texas. We made a reservation for a storage 10x15x9 and when we have arrived, the storage WAS NOT available. They truck was due on 8/2/21. We were moving a 3bedroom home. They offered 4 storage units of 10x5. These DID not work. The storages were too small for our belongings to fit. This pushed the moved in back a day. They also explained that there was nothing else they could do. We were able to locate a storage the following day in Plano on N central parkway. When we arrived he told us that the storage we selected could not be used for the "one month free" and that we had to pay for it. So, with the truck being due on 8/2/21 at 9am, we were not able to have it back in time. It was all such an inconvenience. This is the SECOND unpleasant experience I have had with U-HAUL. We've used you guys twice to move across country and it's been a problem EVERY time. I tried reaching out to customer service several times and the GM from where we picked up our rental, but I was not able to get the problem solved. We had to pay for the storage that was promised to us FREE $170. This was in fact NOT in the budget. We also had to pay for gas as well due to having the U-Haul longer and having to drive. Difficult to ever reach a human in the office on the phone. The computer system often messes up billing. Even on auto-pay I have been sent late notices and late fees applied. I got such a case even after closing my account both online and in the office. This notice even says my closing date was 7/11, but it was closed 7/5 and verified closed on that date in the office! That tells me in took your system 6-days to close the account which then put me past due on 7/8. Other than that, my climate controlled space was kept clean. I'd say above average for the price and proximity to my home, but far from excellent. The RV parking has issues: the gravel lot is soupy in some slots which will rot tires. Consider adding gravel to get it above the dampness and mud. The limited access to electricity, is disappointing and unusual. It's best for the RV to remain on a trickle charger - it takes very little power. There's quite a bit of trash/junk that appears to spill over into neighboring pads. No one seems to be enforcing any rules. I suspect the 1 free month offer attracts less desirable short term tenants. A couple of false starts - the initial site given to me had a car parked in it and the ground was wet and soft. Back to the office. Got a new site, but this one had the electrical box locked, so no power. Tried to call 3 times, but know one answered. Back to the office again. Another 15 minute wait. Staff was courteous and mostly knowledgeable, but they were understaffed to handle the Friday morning load. (I'd hate to see what Saturday looks like.)Rick R. | First Impressions

The only compliant issue I have was during move-out, after checking-in & opening my units; when I close the door while I cart a load out to my truck and return, it sets off the alarm when I open the unit door again to get another load.
