The service was the worst i have experienced with u haul. Lazy people. As of yet I have not received my return receipt was was to be emailed. Also they would not buy back the new unused boxed, saying that they did not know how to look up my receipt in the system. That's bull! At the pick up location Margaret was able too. Tried to use the app online to pickup a truck. App went down so I went inside the store. The assistant manager was not willing to help. Told me that since I used the app he wouldn't help. Took a cigarette break and the female employee decided to help by entering my info into the store system. Very disappointed that a cigarette was more important than helping me with an app the was not working properly! Byron should be disappointed as well for the poor customer service from his management team! I will use another location for future rentals. No excuse for poor service!Vatania G.

Clean out the u haul mines was full a dust and smelled un bare able and I had no choice but to keep my furniture on it all night due to me getting new floors. Left smell on my furniture un except-ableFaye J.
I rented a trailer to get a lawn mower moved. The young man had good customer service and walked me out to the equipment. Once i brought my truck around he proceeded to hook up the trailer and I left. About a mile down the road the trailer became unhitched. Luckily one chain held and I got over to the side of the road before any damage occurred. Turns out he put the tongue on the ball but never tightened it down. I got it fixed and went on my way. I think a bit more training is needed.Justin P.

The trailer was great and the staff was friendly. I had two issues. I hooked up and dropped off the trailer without any help. I kind of prefer doing it myself but I realize this is against company policy. The other issue was the smell of marijuana when I stepped in the building. I didn't smell it the next day when I returned the trailer but it was pretty strong when I picked it up.George P.

I wasn't offered a receipt â€œuntil the truck was checked in.â€ No timeline was given for that process. I was told I'd receive a receipt once that was done. It's 23:15, I still haven't received that receipt. Truck was great, but customer service at both locations left a lot a bit to be desired.William M.

The truck was very beat up on the outside and we later found out the truck was meant to be rented for local use only. It was at just barely under 100k miles and we had to drive it over 2000 miles. The truck barely made it up hills and the air pressure lights came onSavanah R.

this was the most horrible customer service I ever experienced at Uhaul. this was my first time at this location and right from the beginning it was bad; even when returning the equipment, customer service was awful. the equipment was not well maintained. it was just an overall horrible, horrible experience, I do not recommend this location at all; I will go out of my way to another u-haul.ROBIN W.
We are very aggravated with Uhaul and were supposed to receive a call from a manager in 3 days to talk about reimbursing us for out awful experience and we never did. Had a reservation guarantee at Pendleton Pike & they didn't have a truck for us. That was 30 min from home then was told they have a 26ft at Lafayette, so they reserved that for us got to Lafayette & they also didn't have that truck. Mind you we are now an hour away from home & our moving spot. Had to get a truck half the size and make multiple trips. The only helpful people were the gentlemen in Lafayette other than that it was a complete joke. Customer service was even rude. We will not be recommending Uhaul to anyone.Nathaniel M.

My issue with U-haul is not in regards to the location. It is in regards to reservations made through the app that always seem to get messed up. The last several I have reserved for 24/7 pick up have been messed up. I reserved a 10' truck out of the Brownsburg, IN Ace Hardware location. Put the reservation in almost 2 weeks in advance. 40 minutes before my 7 PM pickup time on a Saturday, I pulled up my reservation just to check it and it shows the equipment unavailable and gave me a number to call. Guy at U-haul told me they didn't have my truck and had to search around for another U-haul place which was still open that could get a key in a lockbox for me. Found this Lafayette Road location which is 45 minutes to an hour away from me. Was very inconvenient for me when I had intended on driving 10 minutes to pick up at the Brownsburg Ace Hardware. Very difficult to trust U-haul and reserving via the app when my trucks either become unavailable or as in my previous rental experience, I show to pick up the truck and it isn't ready because they say the order got cancelled even though I still show it reserved for that time to pick up in the app. Time to wake up U-haul. People rely on trucks to move at a certain time. Can't pull the rug out from under them 40 minutes before pickup time.Andrew S.

When I first moved into my storage unit it was great. After a few months someone with roaches moved in and all of my belongings became infested which is why I stopped paying. I have complained about pest issues since after moving into the storage facility. I seen roaches and foreign looking bugs walking through while loading furniture into my unit. I informed Uhaul about these findings on day one and my concern, but I was told to purchase insurance. I purchased insurance and sadly within my unit find roaches, big and small ones, around and near my furniture. Of course, there is no way I am taking this furniture to my new house now. I call the insurance to get this replaced and they say roaches are not covered under Pest; however, they would call uhaul to see what can be done. No follow-up or anything, but something must of been communicated because not only are people working at uhaul cleaning the storage facility, but now they had "inspectors" come overview and ask random people what they thought about the uhaul. I could be entirely wrong about my assumption, but it would have been nice to see this care, look, and pride for the facility as a normal maintenance. Overall, I took matters into my own hands and came to the conclusion that storage facilities are a waste unless you have items you don't care to loose. It is sad that you pay a decent amount of money to store away furniture only to know that you will have to most likely dispose of it in some matter due to neighbors and or the facility upkeep. Everything was great till I tried to close my account. And because I closed my account 2 days after you took my payment. I didn't get a refund or a partial credit for the month. you guys took all of my money for the entire month even though I was only there for two days. That is unacceptable to me and for that reason alone I will not recommend you. I have put in a customer complaint to see if I can get a partial credit back. But I spoken to two Representatives on the phone and it doesn't look like that's going to happen. And the gentleman that closed my account although was friendly he could care less whether or not I got any of my money back. Though I see maintenance and pest control is something that is noted in the facility, I know my furniture would not be able to stay there long as roaches were climbing off of my rented storage door and walking with me while I was moving my thing into the storage space. Otherwise, customer service was nice.
