Actually clean the truck before another passenger gets in, especially in the middle of a pandemic! Transmission did not sound well maintained at all. Customer service was good. Overall, it gets the job done just doesn't compare to other companies I have rented through before.

I had a reservation booked for 1 PM pick up scheduled till 7 PM that night I got to the store to pick up the truck and because of the computer system and the miss information I didn't walk out of there till about 2:30 PM. Everything else besides that was great. But you got to get more organized and speed up the check in process

There was a bit of confusion as to what equipment was available and actually on the premises. Although I had reserved a truck 4 days prior to arriving at the location, I waited 15 minutes before I was helped.

I like this location as it is next to Cubesmart where I have a unit, and is within walking distance of home. The lot is laid out more intentionally with a clearly marked return. The man cleaning returned trucks saved me a trip to the key return letting me leave my key in the truck.

Truck smelled of cigarettes and had ashes everywhere we smelled horrible after moving everything and so did my baby's bag that I had to bring with me we have an infant so I'm very disappointed about this! We were pressed for time so I didn't have time to request another truck also staff was kind of rude. Doubt I'll be back

The dolly I reserved a week in advance was not available. Replaced with appliance dolly which wasn't what I wanted. A courtesy call to let someone know would allow them to make other plans vs not having what was reserved on day of move. Thanks

The customer service lady charged my card three times for the transaction which caused me to have a fraudulent activity alert on my account. I had to clear it with the bank, in order to have this hold removed, so that I could I then get my u-haul. I am not sure why I was charged multiple times

Truck was given to us nearly empty of gas, which meant we had to stop at the first available gas station rather than a gas station where a large truck + trailer would be maneuverable, it took us an hour to get out of the gas station. We were given a 12.50 credit for the missing gas this was less than the cost of a quarter tank (which trucks are supposed to be at when given out). Further, I pre-paid online and was further charged at the pickup counter (even after the gas credit was applied), and the associate could not explain the discrepancy. Finally, I was quoted $40 for an extra day of use beyond the rental agreement but was charged $106 for an extra day instead. I now understand that there were additional charges for the vehicle transport and dolly but those should have been disclosed initially. Overall I would not recommend UHAUL because these are deceptive business practices.

Make sure the printer has ink so the driving contract can be handed to the customer and any pertinent information can be reviewed (ie refill gas tank) Proper labeling in the store, I was overcharged for my mattress cover and inquired with the salesperson that I believed it costed less and he blamed his coworkers for mislabeling it even though online the item was also priced lower than what I was charged

There was some confusion about the number of furniture pads I had requested and what was available. It required me to get a credit but had to wait until checkout. And when I went to checkout they were charging me for two days instead of one. It was all sorted out eventually and I was charged the right amount but it was a bit of a hassle in a stressful moving day.

Customer service is sub par at best. The manager always has an attitude and they will let you stand at the counter without even acknowledging you while they discuss another customer. This is my third and last time renting a uhaul.

You should point out known equipment damage in your reports so that it isn't necessary for your users to catalog it on pickup. Otherwise I feel at risk of being charged for damage that existed before pickup.

The care that day from the girl and guy was above great I was able to take pictures of the gas which was different and the mileage and it was all great easy and I got back on time at 545 was treated by another gentleman which checks everything out and he was the nicest guy! I loved this location with the fast service they had the 15 ft I wanted and bigger if I wanted and it all worked out great. Thanks to this location for everything I will be back

Uhaul truck leaked, the lock didnt work and was set up right under a broken gutter and it was pouring rain. I was charged for 3 days rather than 2 because I waited until y'all opened to return and despite the fact that I returned it within 48 hours of driving away. I was not able to get my rental until well after 9am due to the broken lock issue and was promised over the phone that my rental would be extended appropriately. What a disaster

A light automatically comes on when the truck is started for towing (extra horsepower?). Apparently, it doesn't help with gas mileage but no one told me about that. I drove 5 miles from the store to my home and the gas gauge moved a decent amount. Everyone associated with Uhaul refused to swap it with another 10 ft. truck.

The van was in excellent condition, brand new! However, I had an unpleasant experience with one of your representatives. First, I tried to use the app to do the self-check-in, but I couldn't take pictures of the vehicle. The app certainly doesn't work as expected. Then, I asked for one of your employees' help, and the guy was very dismissive. I felt I was bothering him while he watched a show on his cell phone. But the worst part was that his mask wasn't covering his nose. That situation made me very uncomfortable because we were interacting at a close distance. I am cautious when I am interacting with people outside my household. I wear a mask 100% of the time, not just to protect myself, but to protect others! I expected the same conduct of your employees. It is a shame that you have excellent equipment but so poorly managed, vis-a-vis your app and representative. Next time I will choose another location, and if there is none available, another company.

Everything was great with the exception U-Haul's U-Box customer service department. My original location of where my U-Box was going to be dropped off was changed without notifying me. I specified a specific location based on the distance from my house. If I wouldn't have called about something else, I would have never known and would have went to the incorrect location. In addition, the new location was about 25 minutes away from my house so I would have spent more money that I didn't have.

I had to go to this location after I was told 1 hour before pick up that that truck I reserved on-line was not available at the new bern ave location (2 miles from my house) . This cost me an additional 12 miles added to the bill. I hope they will honor their on line guarantee reservation.

Staying here only based on convenience. The storage area was completely trashed -- random things just piled up in the common area in the entrance. The bathroom was also destroyed and looked like it hadn't been touched in weeks. And the towel dispenser did not work. Total disarray.

The uhaul online dispatch and return feature needs work. It kept making me start over and retake pictures because the ones I already took would disappear. Very frustrating and I'm a fan and user of technology so it wasn't because I didn't know what to do.

Crystal(sp?) was incredible. You guys have a real asset in her. This review isn't super positive, but I don't want that to take away from how impressed I was with her. I got to where the vehicle I was transporting was located and after finally getting it up onto the trailer we discovered that one of the tire straps was torn and would not reach where it needed to go in order to be able to ratchet it and secure the vehicle. We ended up having to cut a $30 tow strap that we had just bought and loop it through the strap on the trailer in order to secure the vehicle. When we returned the trailer we told the person checking in the trailer for us about this and his response was just “huh, good thing you noticed”. It would be really nice if you guys would replace the strap we had to waste in order to tow our vehicle. Nothing was offered and it was close to closing so I didn't want to keep the employees there any longer. I'm out $30 because this trailer was not maintained.

The woman at the checkout desk was efficient but not overly friendly. Entry into building not clearly marked. The exit was blocked by 2 vehicles and I had to leave via the entrance. One on the blocking vehicles was U-Haul employee helping someone connect the trailer. Seems like that should have been done somewhere else than the exit. The other blocking vehicle was some asshole who parked there and went into the building.

Justice was amazing. His co-worker was extremely rude and informed me that the truck I had reserved was no longer available as I was 45 minutes late to arrive due to Friday evening traffic. Justice was able to accommodate an appropriate truck for me and was extremely patient and helpful. He provided excellent customer service to me!

The manager at this location never wore a mask once. I am in my 60s there's a gentleman in front of me in my 70s both of us wire masks. Your manager is a female in her late 20s or early 30s not one time did she wear a mask during the interactions with us. Not only is it reckless and but it is in total violation of the law in the state of North Carolina When I came back I was hoping that she would be wearing a mask but yet again no mask whatsoever. Totally disappointing and completely unacceptable

Two opposite comments: Ruben, your employee at the Raleigh location, was fantastic. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly, responsive, a stellar representative for your company. I cannot give him enough stars. Really took of us. The opposite issue is safety that has nothing to do with your team. Three young adults and I ended up moving stuff into the unit around 9:30 pm. There was a man there, he did not appear to be the security guard. He left the door propped open with wood slivers while. He stood with his back to the door on the phone with a cigarette. He also did not appear to be a customer nor work there. My biggest issue is that he propped the door for a good length of time (15 minutes??) after dark. It did not feel secure. I’m not sure why he was there but he was not moving anything. If he’s a security guard, my suggestion would be he does not prop the door open because that defeats the entire purpose of needing a key card to get in

The reservation time for my truck ended and I could not add additional time due to the next reservation. This cost me an additional $50.00. I would suggest allowing space between reservation scheduling to adjust for changes in plans. I had to reload the truck and it took extra time. Valerie Boyce

I can't say enough about the staff. If we had a problem or question, They were always very helpful. The facility was very clean. Whenever we had to go to our unit, we would see someone cleaning.

Pretty decent unit, though the building itself smells. The grounds are rough with lots of neighborhood construction, yet they've continued to raise rents. Rent raises were my biggest issue.

The only feedback I have is the facility and anything stored there smells like mothballs. However, I never saw insects or evidence of rodents so I guess that's the trade-off.
