Be clear about what your renting out. Be clear about gas and mileage. Cuz nobody was, period. Told me it was 19.95 cu it was in town and ended up charging me $89 cuz they messed up admittedly..... Very confused. Want my money back. Had to deny the first 2 trucks I was offered cuz of gas or destroyed property. An absolute mess. Fuck U-Haul :/Joshua H.

Don't charge your customers for gas they didn't use. I was charged over $30 for 7 gallons of gas when I only went 24 miles AND placed gas back into the truck. That's fraudulently charging your customerAshley J.

Nothing - I just wanted to make sure you knew how good a job Jeff, your General Manager at that location, is doing. The U-Haul shop near me in Waterford had installed a hitch on our car, but the wiring was faulty, which Jeff discovered when he checked to make sure everything was working after he'd hooked up the trailer. Long story short - Jeff called around to other U-Haul stores, found the proper part, had someone go get it, and then installed it himself (we HAD to hit the road, and no other shop could promise they'd be able to install the part that day). He absolutely saved the day. My daughter and I were driving to Denver - and had to get there by Tuesday night. Without Jeff's help, we never would have made it in time. Jeff and his team are AMAZING. The entire Uhaul system went out when he had a showroom full of customers and dozens of trucks waiting to leave the lot and Jeff handled things as well as he possibly could have. All was good; however, we did not need the dolly, never broke the seal, and charged. I was later informed that policy had changed, and because a dolly was placed in the truck for usage, we are responsible for the fee, although we did not break the seal to use.Samika D.

First staff member wasnt sure they had the trailer i had reserved. Had to wait about 10 minutes for another staff member to arrive at the location and he was super helpful in getting us hooked up properly and on our way. Trailer was excellent and service hooking up was excellent.KURT J.

Have equipment that was rented available. Don't make it available on your website and then not have it available when checking in. Also, mobile check in didn't work and I had to go inside which delayed everything because we had to make a whole new reservation and different truck.Ryan M.

Have the computer adequately show the gas level in the truck at rental. It was listed at 3/4 but the actual was 5/8. I had to make 2 visits back to get the gas charge refunded. Once the manager was at the store the process was easy.LINDA SUE H.

My experience with Uhaul at the Grand Rapids on Grandville location was exceptional. Nikki Hill and John were extremely helpful in every aspect of my rental! Nikki and John went above and beyond the call of duty and expedited the process even though I was 3 hours late for my pickup. Because of them, I was able to make up some of the time I had lost due to personal problems that morning and in turn I was able to accomplish the move ahead of schedule and was able to drop off my rental that night and make it back home in Detroit that night. I have to say that when I arrived at Uhaul, I was extremely frustrated because of the personal problems that happened at home, but pulled out of the driveway with my rental, I was grinning from ear to ear because of the service I received from Nikki and John. I wish there was a way to show everyone how much they helped me turn my nightmare of a day to a day of success!!! Thank You Again Nikki And John For All Of Your Help!!! From, Robrobert H.

When returning the truck using the 24/7 system we ran into an issue where the website needed access to our location and even when we turned on all the right settings still did not work, we finally had to download the app to return the truck which was frustrating after a long day of moving, I would let customers know ahead of time that the app may be needed because you have to share your location in order to return the truck.CARTER RHYS V.

I went to the nearest location but they didn't have the 12' trailer I wanted available for the next morning. They suggested I check other nearby locations. I asked if they could check for me, but they had no means of doing that. Strange?? Yes! and frustrating. They took my name and said they would hold a smaller one for me to pick up in the morning and asked me to call if that was not needed. I called the local number but was routed to some central contact, but they had no means of connecting me to the local site or communicating with them. I was told that when I didn't show up they would know. I drove to another location, made a forma reservation for morning and after that all was well. Now, what sort of business is it that can't communicate with its parts?David S.

Trucks should have cruise control. The customer should be contacted a day or two prior to confirm rental and explain options. I had to call day of rental and no one answered. The Indiana call center ended up confirming my rental.John S.
1. Easy check in process. 2. Clean pads. 3.The manager told me to park my car behind his building, when I returned in the evening (after business hrs.) I find my car behind a locked gate. Could not get my car till am. Major inconvenience. Had to scramble to get transportation back to my home 45 mins away. Then return in morning to find out the manager was over 15 mins late to work and the lot wasn't even Uhauls!!!! I should have been comped the move for all inconveniences. 4. The truck inside was clean but outside was in bad shape (dents, dirty, broken rear door handle etc..). Very disappointing transaction!!KEITH P.

Staff were completely unprofessional, eating pizza on the counter while checking me in, unhelpful and not friendly. They couldn't locate the correct key, and the truck's battery was dead when I got in and tried to start it. The location itself was not clean, and staff were very disorganized. I wish it was more clear on what you had to do to get 24hr access. I was under the impression I had it and even the letter I got after I signed up and started renting gave me the impression I had it, but after online chatting with someone I learned I did not have it and actually need to pay an additional $10 a month.
