The first van we were given had a mechanical problem lt drove Terrible and had to be replaced. The second replacement vehicle had a windshield replaced incorrectly and had a horrific wind noise and we returned it as. After that we totally loss confidence in the company and decided to just turn the vehicle in and go in another direction.

When I picked up the truck and pulled out of the lot I noticed the fuel was not on full. I used the truck for 17 miles and when re-fueling to return I had to put $20.00/ 5.6 gallons of gas in the truck for a 17 mile trip. Not happy about replacing someone else's fuel usage. I have pictures of the fuel gauge when picked up and returned and it clearly shows that the tank was not refilled prior to my renting. Employee Israel was very efficient and extremely professional when renting the vehicle.

Discovered no lighting on trailer when I stopped for coffee before entering I95, called for UHaul Roadside Service, and they came and resolved the issue.

We were rented the wrong equipment. We told the clerk exactly what vehicle we had. We drove a hour and half to pick up our broken down work truck in Melbourne. We pushed the truck on the hauler and found it did not fit. We were in a HOA community so we had to do something and do something quick so nothing got towed or impounded. We contacted the customer service to explain what was going on. Their customer service is horrible. I was told I was in breach of contract, that I had to leave my truck to bring back the hauler and that I could not return to another uhaul. They were very unprofessional, unsympathetic, and very rude. I returned the hauler to a nearby location and was told again I was in breech of contract. I dealt with the location on ISB in Daytona beach. They need to learn how to treat customers.

The guy at the counter was helpful. The guy showing us the truck didnt do his job at all. The truck was dirty on the inside. Also the gas gauge stuck so when you go to fill that particular truck back up to 3/4 it will stay under and then jump to full.

Make sure your gas is where it needs to be because the price they charge is truly high. I needed less than a quarter of a tank and had to pay $32. Plus dollars. But the staff was nice and the wait wasn’t bad. I was also given a full refund on pads because we had two packs and only used one, rather than refund $5.00 I got. $10.00 refund. The overall experience was ok and we will use UHaul again.

The coil or cable leading the door to our trailer was broken. So when we began our trip we got stuck for two hours in the rain, because the door wouldn’t close. I guess the equipment was either old or needed to be replaced.

The first truck we rented had a transmission issue and we barely got a mile down the road the truck would not run right. We brought it back and they got us in a new truck with no problems. Now... I DID HAVE MAJOR ISSUES WITH THE DROP OFF LOCATION R&A MART LOCATED AT - 1040 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL 32720 SUCKS SOOOO BAD AND THEY DO NOT TAKE UHAUL RETURNS SO PLEASE REMOVE THEM AS A DROP OFF LOCATION IN DELAND. THE OWNER OF THAT STORE IS NASTY, UNACCOMMODATING AND RUDE. I HAD TO DRIVE AND PAY MORE TO DROP OFF THE UHAUL IN ORANGE CITY (WHICH THE OC STORE I GREATTTTTTTT)! JUST TAKE OFF THE NASTY OLD R&A MART IN DELAND AS A DROP OFF LOCATION TO SAVE PEOPLE A HEADACHE AND FIGHT.

I reserved a truck at a different location, but my rental was changed to this location a few hours ahead of my scheduled pick-up time and I am so glad that it was! This was the best truck rental experience I’ve ever had in the 8 years I’ve bern renting moving trucks. Picking up and returning the truck was fast and simple, and the truck provided what was probably the smoothest ride I’ve ever experienced. Alex blends customer service with speed effortlessly, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes whereas other locations have made me wait at least 30 minutes before.

The initial staff person appeared disheveled, with no communication with the customer. For the first time in over 5 yrs of using Uhaul trailers and at the Daytona location, I asked for another staff person to hook the trailer to my car. I did not feel safe nor confident in the initial staff person doing it. When I told him that I wanted another attendant to service my trailer, the young man threw his arms up, well let's just say his poor customer service attitude continued. One other point, please have the service staff wear their pants up on their waist. This staff person had his pants down below his bum, every time he bent over I had to view his bright blue underwear. Not the typical uniform of a UHAUL staff. I arrived in Massachusetts safe. And grateful I intervened to have a differnt statff person service the trailer hook up. Joanne Mumley

I only give this location such a bad rating because of the wait time. We had to wait in a line for an hour to get our U-haul. We have moved multiple times and have never experienced this type of wait at a U-Haul location. Only one worker, the poor guy should’ve had help at the desk. Other than that, we have no complaints.

Not enough people to take care of customers. I requested an appliance dolly along with a truck for my move. I didn’t get it and notified the location immediately. Still got charged for the dolly and no reply when I sent an email to try and straighten things out. Would have liked to have spoken to someone on the phone but got tired of being on hold

Truck smelled like cigarettes. The employee went above and beyond to help clear the smell as much as possible, but cigarette smell is very hard to get rid of, so it still lingered.

We had reservations with UHaul at New Symna Beach, Fl. and receive a confirmation the night before.. But we recieved another call from the Pick up location that it was a mistake and a 5/8 trailer was Not available at that location and we would have to drive 30 minutes to Dayton to get that trailer. They did give a discount after I requested one.

I had a bad experience with the cost of the rental billed to my debit card. The total cost should have been $171.46, but as I showed the counter person it rang up $197.18 on my card. I called my bank as well as uhaul's customer service and both have put in a dispute of charges.

The gas gauge on the truck I rental must have been broken....it was not at the level originally reported to me...... When I put gas into the tank the gauge did not move....so I put more into the tank and it still did not move. After putting in $15.00 I figured it must be broken. Train the staff on how to operate the uhaul system.

Train your counter personnel. When I asked the guy behind the counter to pass on to his manager that the uhaul app could be improved if it allowed a customer to change their arrival time when checking in online he replied “we don’t run the app. You have to call them yourself.” Tried to make it clear it wasn’t my job to contact uhaul as the face of the company that I was engaged with he could pass it on to his boss. He just got nasty. Needs customer service training or direction to go work elsewhere if that is how he is. Really bad experience. First time I have ever encountered a bad experience with UHaul but it will make me reconsider using you folks again.

The truck they gave me was absolutely disgusting the steering wheel way so old and gross that my hands were dirty the truck smelt terrible and it did not drive well it had a lot of hesitation when driving The truck was pretty beat up I think this one needs to be retired. I rented a hand truck for moving a heavy safe. The handles were unlike any hand truck i have ever used. VERY VERY awkward. Will go elsewhere if I need an appliance hand truck in the future. The staff was pleasant to deal with. Your equipment was the problem.

Service is VERY slow all the time at this location. The truck I had had been wrecked and ran very rough while there were no idiot lights on it was very obvious something was wrong. Also when you hit a bump the truck would jerk to the right. (front end out of alignment as a result of wreck most likely)

The employee did not greet me, he was arguing on the phone with someone the entire time and barely paid attention to anything. He didn’t even look over the supplies in the back of the truck to see if they were in there until we were leaving and told him he could not move the truck since the back was open and the dolly’s would fall out. I took pictures of the mileage to inform the employee that I received it at a higher number then it was stated and he still said I was over by the same amount even though the employee at the other location informed me that wouldn’t be the case.

The size truck I reserved in advance by almost a month was not there,.was given a bigger truck that pulled to the right the whole 880 miles I had to go. Pay more attention to the counter. Possibly more employees would help. I had to wait 15 minutes to check out on 4/6 because NO ONE was behind the counter. Other people had to wait as well. Seems to me that it's a management problem. Employees should be more conscientious.

I was selected in your computer by your employee at pick up to return my U-Haul Truck at the Sunoco gas station at 1296 8th street in Daytona Beach, Fl.. It was in a very bad part of town and my wife was following me by herself. I was told by a Sunoco Employee that this location was no longer open an I would have to go to the central store on Speedway blvd. Daytona Beach. Why would you have put us in danger by not taking that location out of the computer so your employee could not sign us up to return the truck there?

I rented a 5 by 9 ramp trailer in Michigan in Jan1 to take to Flordia one way for 294.00. Then in April I rented the same trail to go back to Michigan to the same location for 160.00. They were both to and from the same location. Why is the price a 134.00 difference? I made as hell, they would not refund the difference. Be care when renting from this company!!!

The drop off line was so busy and the poor girl was trying so hard but had to work by herself. Finally help arrived after waiting for over 12 minutes, the girl working Sunday deserves a raise because you guys did not schedule enough people for the large amounts of drop offs

After rescheduling my reservation twice, both changes were failed to be taken note of. Luckily there was someone who could install the hitch on my car the second time but I wasted 40 minutes each way driving to my initial appointment. The management inside the location is very poor. I expected a shorter line for vehicle drop off but there are only 2 people running registers at a very busy location. The installation was very sloppy. When they cut my bumper to install the hitch they didn't measure the bumper properly and cut the hole for my hich off center. On the right side of the hitch the plastic bumper is pushing against the hitch and there is more than enough of a gap between the hitch and the bumper on the left side of the hitch. The plastic bumper was not cleaned up (sanded down) after being cut either. I wasted too much time and $200 for a job that I could have done better myself. Next time I will not take this shortcut for future vehicles.

We had problems at the drop off location. We. We’re changed over 200.00 dollars for e.g gas which we put the gas initially as we were returning the truck! Also charged for two days late when it was uhauls fault having us be there for 40 minutes waiting for her to figure out what Daytona, FL did on the paperwork! It showed we had three trucks when Daytona switched out trucks due to a mechanical problem with the original truck! NOT HAPPY

Understaffed. Only one person working inside, leading to a wait time that was longer than my trip. Despite having to please a line full of seemingly grumpy people she smiled and did her best to be cheerful, but a second staff person during peak times would make for a better experience for your staff and customers. While I was there I watched costomers return their items to the shelf and leave, deciding that it was not worth the wait. A Fedex delivery driver came in put a package down, but staff was not in sight as she had to run to the back to check something so was not visible to the delivery driver, so he picked his package back up and left.
