I was stuck in the freight elevator for more than thirty minutes. The call button did not work. The alarm bell sounded, but no one heard. When I called the phone number on the storage rental contract, I was put on hold by the system. If not for another customer arriving, I might have been there longer. Received email notification of unpaid tolls, which were not valid charges. I followed Uhaul dispute process and provided abundant information. Uhaul did not respond to my dispute but 8 days later (today) charged my card repeatedly without authorization and triggered a fraud alert on my credit card. Truck was a little banged up with large scratches on both sides and the tow/haul button non-responsive. Served it's purpose, but if it was raining I wouldn't have been able to disengage as instructed. Truck came with 1/4 tank of gas which necessitated a fill up prior to reaching my destination and then again before turning it in. Not a great policy to rent a truck with 1/4 tank. Lastly, was charged a cleaning fee because the back of the truck was â€œdirtyâ€. Despite signage reading back must be â€œbroom cleanedâ€, I was charged $25 extra because back wasn't pristine. Seems like I was nickel and dimed trying to get additional fees.Ben A.

I'm actually pretty upset when I got there the two men in the office so that the right front tire was low they didn't have any other van said that was for me and that they didn't have an air pump and that I didn't have to take it if I didn't want to. I was desperate and how to use it and had to fill up the tire three different times it was horrible! I'm very very very upset and I would like a refund!LOLA S.

I dropped the vehicle off after hours. As a result, I tried to use both the mobile and the desktop versions of the checkout procedures, but I was unable to get either to work for me. That was a little frustrating because I know that U-Haul charges $20 if you fail to check out the vehicle, yourself. Otherwise, I was very pleased with my rental experience and found the service excellent.Mark M.

Super easy and fast process to reserve a van online. Resulted in 5 minutes in the store between the time I walked in, until I walked out with the key. Reasonable price and everything was smooth and easy. As a bonus this location is full of anything you could possibly need as far as moving and packing supplies. Nice staff, highly recommendRichard B.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel you need more office employees to handle the rental paperwork. There was only 1 person and the rental process is somewhat slow. There was quite a line of folks waiting to rent and I had to wait almost a 1/2 hour to get served. Once I got the paperwork done which went fairly quickly although it took almost 5 minutes the actual issuing of the trailer and appliance dolly was quicker than the paperwork. the return later that day went very quickly and easily and I would rate the return as 5 stars. I create surveys for my job and this survey could really use some tweaking. Answers shouldn't just be "yes" or "no" or "N/A"..maybe a rating scale would be better. Not enough customer parking, not enough staff, long waits when people are already stressed from having to move. Tried to do it all online/24/7 share and STILL had to end up waiting in line. Horrible experience! All I can say is that the one competent guy that was working there was very nice and friendly with a very helpful attitude. Overall the storage unit and area was clean and well maintained but when the air conditioning in my unit's area was broken for multiple summer months, I tried communicating with the store manager via email and phone and received no response. I even reached out to the district manager, who assured me I would be receiving an update and never received a response from anyone. I've had my stuff in storage for almost 4 years. A rat somehow got in there, but luckily it didn't ruin anything. I had my things packed pretty good. Hopefully it didn't get into any other units. When I closed, I had a manager on site and followed all instructions. They haven't closed my contact and it's been almost 3 weeks. The person who I got my unit from gave me the wrong number unit, so when I unloaded my car and brought everything up to what I thought was my unit, it was apparently not my unit. I had to unload everything back into my vehicle, go into the store and wait in line to get my correct storage unit, go back and load everything again and bring my stuff up. The only issue we had this time versus other times was that when we registered online we could not automatically get the First month free promotional. In the past every time we got the first month free when we checked in at the office. However, the management has informed us that they will adjust the payment in the following month. I pay for a truck on Sunday May 8 2021 to take out my things from two storages that I had and two guys got stuck on the elevator been there for an hour without any help until we realize nobody was helping them and went to call a worker and he said that he was going to call another coworker to come but the guys were in desperte need of air and water since the emergency bottom was not working becouse no one but one went to see them since we were there taking our stuff from the first floor so they call the fire rescue who were the only ones to come and Open the elevator. No one of the staff did anything to try to help the guys on the elevator or fix the elevator after it was open. Because of that we could not take our stuff from the 4th floor when we already had the truck paid. I need someone to tell me how to proceed on this since it's not fair that I have to pay other truck to take my things from the 4th floor. When I ask the lady at the front desk if uhual could provide me with at least a van so I could take my stuff another day when the elevator it's fixed her answer was I could use the stairs which I find nonsensical. How she can pretend I will go 4 floors up and down with furniture and stuff ?.Maria P. | Overall Experience
