I have been to this location twice- they are amazing. It’s stressful moving, but uhaul takes the sting out of it. I was even able to get a same day truck and moving labor- something I was extremely impressed with. Oh- and the employees are super nice.

June 2, 2019 They need to have larger storage rooms 10×10 or wider and do away with the small rooms because they are to small , and elevator is to small , next month I have to pay for two rooms that are small and overpriced because of this problem with such small storage rooms . I was told they were $124 and they are $139 and $149. The manager gave me another tiny room for free 30 days but I still am sad about my $5000 dollar sofa I had to donate because of there small storage space and small elevator height and width.

Extremely slow and inefficient. Only 2 staff on a Sunday. Would assume Uhaul knows how many reservations are booked in advance and can anticipate the demand based on past months in business. Waited in line literally 30 min with just 2 people in front of me. Finally was my turn and after the woman who was kind and polite, but not the brightest, took my drivers license and credit card just to say her system was not working, we had to move to another station, and start all over again. Please invest in more staff or have a do it yourself option online where one can upload or scan documents if location won't adequately staff for the demand.

I would hire more help at front desk especially at month end/beginning of month. I waited longer in line than I had possession of equipment I rented. This was through no fault of the staff on hand. They were just understaffed.

Had an issue with the trailer tow lighting system on my Jeep wrangler and the staff at this location gladly fixed the problem and had us on our way quickly. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to get the trailer, use it safely, and get us on our way. Thank you to the maintenence team at this location for all your help!! However, the team inside was understaffed. The line was very long and there was only one person there to help 6-7 people, not to mention the process of filing paperwork for rentals takes a long time. More staff should be utilized to get people in trucks and on their way to get their moving done. However, the guy who did help us out was very nice and tried his best to get things moving along.

We did not cause damage to the roof, I don't feel that this responsibility is with us. Even though we have a fault in the parking lot that exceeds the limit height, it is clear that we only hit the sign of the parking lot, and the hole in the roof is in the middle of the car. This is not our fault. I need to verify this information.

It took 40 minutes to be approved even when we reserved online 3 weeks earlier. We asked for help and were told to stand in line. Probably 12 people ahead of us, 2 clerks only. As we stood in line our approval came through and the instructions said “SKIP THE LINE! Go to the side of the counter and ask for keys. The attendants were too busy with work that they were overwhelmed and had me wait and told me to get in line. The 2nd attendant came to me to give me the key but she was really moody and arguing with attendant #1. The system is not fast at all. What is the point of registering online if I will be held up 40 minutes? We got our key and the van had 2 inches space to back up and 5 to go forward. We needed a van to be moved and nobody to help. “Well, you need to tell me the number of the van in front so I can help you”. Really? After 40 minute wait, few more getting to the end of the parking lot to get on the van, back to ask for help... should I go on? Zero costumer service. A full hour plus passed from our arrival until we drove out. Never again. Van was clean and spacious and well maintained but service and logistics are not good.

I dropped off the truck Sunday at 10:30 AM . The U-Haul system of leasing is complex and slow. I pre-registered, filling out all the requested information, drivers license, credit card, vehicle information, etc. and still had to provide all that when I got to the counter. Also, I waited in line for over 10 minutes because there was only one person at the counter. Check in was a breeze and the people were very courteous, particularly the guy who fit the trailer to my car and removed when it when I returned.

Disclose proper rates up front with your customers. Not when they return the vehicle. Tell your customers in advance about the way you bill for tolls as opposed not saying anything and having charges just pop up on their credit cards. Call me to discuss this (manager only please) 210-551-1006

The customer service person, Lino was the worst. After waiting and hour to get a trailer i found out I needed a $175 electrical installation in my car. I told him that I needed to leave as I had been waiting an hour he made wait some more to take care of others customers that had just arrived. Terrible customer service. On the second ocasión. Customer representative had no idea how use the online checkout . They had no idea how you can select a truck and told me that next time to go inside with them (and wait an hour with attitude) . This location needs customer service and technical training ASAP

When I arrived to the location, I turned into the first entrance I saw. This happened to be the “incorrect” entrance for returns, of which I had no idea. I parked my car and trailer out of the way of anyone so people could still drive through. I got out and politely asked someone where the main office is. The guy was nice and pointed over to the return area. As I walked over to the return area, another U-Haul worked stopped me abruptly and asked me what I needed in an annoyed tone. I told him I needed to return my trailer. He replied that I needed to bring the trailer over to the other side of the parking lot, again in an annoyed manner. I did as he said and pulled the trailer into the returning lane. I sat there for a while until someone finally came up to help me. My trailer was due back at 9:00am. Because I had to wait, my trailer wasn’t processed as being returned until after 9:00am. This caused me to be charged an additional daily fee. I was very unsatisfied with the whole experience.

Jesus Baez, the person who checked me out was insistent that my gas was under par with what I originally rented the van with. I made sure the van was fueled adequately with a little over half a tank. I got charged an extra $6 but it was the principle of the matter and the way he spoke to me that struck a bad chord. I rented here before but this will be the last time. There are other vehicle rental businesses like Home Depot that may have better customer care. Sometimes that makes all the difference.

This location is great. I have used them multiple times- once when I first moved to Miami and this recent time for moving across town. I am always so pleased to come in here because the staff is always friendly and informed about how to help me. Even with being a large location on top of offering many services (storage, hutch attachment etc.) they are always available to assist me and willing to offer suggestions for help. Cannot day enough good things about this location. It is the only one I will go to- I even drive past other locations to get to this one. Excellent 5 star service!

Gave me a terrible truck clearly needed an alignment, the steering wheel needed to be Turned sideways so that I can stay straight. They told me not to worry about refilling gas since it was such a short drive, then proceeded to charge me an extra $12 after it was returned. Terrible experience for a returning customer

Rent your cargo van full or empty on gas 3/4 is losses to costumers . i always refill the tank and never get even a thanks on it. Also Uhal charges alot of 1.50 many of them for what??? Clean your vans remove water bottles and wash them.

I had reserved a storage unit with u-haul app. When I got there, they told me they did not have the unit I reserved available and upgraded me, at my own cost, to a bigger unit. They should of let me get the bigger unit for the same price. Anyways, after nearly 2 hours trying to find a solution, manager on call did not provide any help solving this matter besides a comment in the line of: this is what we have take it or leave it, I got a bigger unit at a higher price. I had no choice as my move was set on that day. I have been a customer of U-Haul many years both in Canada and in the USA... worst customer service yet. I have to add that I rented a Dolly and that the staff the provided and took back the dolly outside were amazing though.

Truck share 24/7 not working properly at this location, the truck I reserved was given away, staff did not seem to understand how the system worked, then upon return, the system tried to charge me an additional $100 for fuel, presumably because of the earlier truck snaffu (though the staff understood at this point it was not my fault, and fixed the fuel issue).

Wait time is ridiculous. App pretends to work at this location but really doesn't. It makes you go out to the truck (step out of line) then go back inside to go to the counter and get the keys. No reason picking up a truck should take 30+ minutes.

Uhaul has to check who they hire, this is not the first time my CC was charged a different amount than I was supposed to. On top of that Uhaul made 3 fraudulent charges to my CC this morning of $15.76 each. And since the office that deals with that is closed i have to wait until Monday. I will never use uhaul again.

We arrived at the location after a 14 hour drive and towing a car at 7:30. The location closed at 8:00. On the way, I tried calling the store to get the storage unit paperwork started but after holding for multiple times for over 15 mins, I decided to wait until I arrived at the location. Once I arrived, I was told that I could not get a unit since it was close to closing time. Three people sitting at the counter including the assistant GM. No one answered the phone and when I arrive, people sitting around apparently waiting to close. As you can imagine, after driving 14 hours pulling a car and navigating Miami traffic in order to get to the store prior to close, I arrive with the scene described above. To make things worse, I assumed the store in Athens, GA secured the storage unit during the reservation. I don't complain...It takes something really frustrating for me to even respond to a review like this. Usually I take the stance that no review is a negative review for a company looking for feedback. I expect nothing to come of this but you really need to take a look at your staffing models, people you hire to manage these locations and your processes. I will let everyone I speak to about this experience know how frustrating this was for me.

Roaches in my van. ROACHES!! So disgusting. Also they charged me for a gallon of gas even though i filled it myself. Ridiculous. I should have not even been charged for that disgusting roach filled van.

I had made an appointment for 10am but ended up leaving at almost 12pm due to the staff not being organized. I had checked in online to expedite the process, and granted that the staff ended up helping towards the end of the 2 hour check in with fixing a faulty part, but it took entirely too long. I would give the rating a poor if it wasn't for the help they did at the end.

All the extra charges are ridiculous. You up sell a specific amount, and by the end of the transaction you’ve got multiple other charges. That’s extremely frustrating. I am not complaining about this specific location, but about the company as a whole. Oh and btw I did early check in, and I still waited over an hour to pick up the trailer.

I would suggest taking photos of the vehicle when the vehicle is returned NOT while the customer is waiting. It added another 15 minutes to the wait. Totally unacceptable. I have rented multiple times at this location and this is the first time I was dissatisfied.

I had an very unpleasant experience. The customer service person I was dealing with to rent the storage unit got into a very unprofessional screaming match with another employee of U-Haul. They had no problem continuing their very loud and highly aggressive discussion while I as a customer sat in front of them. It was very uncomfortable and I really just wanted to leave that location. I didn't leave because I really needed to complete the transaction to rent the storage space. I never got an apology from the customer service employee. He just complained about the other employee not letting him speak. If I could avoid this location in the future, I definitely will. I believe that a few trainings in customer service and how to handle yourself in front of a customer would come in very handy.
