I needed assistance from customer service. I waited on the phone for 15 minutes with no help. I then sent a message through the chat, it took about ten minutes for someone to respond. I didn't see the response right away. The customer service gave me three minutes to respond and then closed the call. Unacceptable!!! I had to wait 10 minutes for you, you should do the same!!John W.

Truck broke down sat on side of Hwy for 6 hrsStarr L.
I had to go to three locations before I was able to get the vehicle that I'd reserved. It felt like bait and switch. You all owe me $50 because I reserved the vehicle at the Covington Hwy., Decatur, GA location and no pickup truck or anything else was available. I was then sent over to Memorial Dr., still no truck. I had to call your national customer service to locate a vehicle in Conyers, GA. The whole morning was extremely stressful and utterly ridiculous!MICHELE J.

The truck was very loud, needed the muffler worked on before it is used again. Also, the check engine light came on while using the truck. Finally I reserved an appliance Dolly and they didn't have one when I got there. Had to wait on hold with customer service for 30 minutes to have the charge for said Dolly removed. Then when I got the final bill was charged for the moving pads and utility Dolly in the truck that I never used.GINNY V.
Got charged $180 for the extra 2 days we requested for the use of the truck. Was told it would be $40 a day. The truck was also a little dusty on the inside, but it got the job done. Not sure how $40x2=$180 but hey, U-Haul, right?Te'Keyah D.

The employees at this location make you never want to use uhaul ever again they truly make you feel as though your presence is a problem for them, having used this location less than a month ago I knew how bad the employees were so I tried to do everything online so my only interaction would be getting the keys and dropping off keysâ€¦ but they made dropping off the keys a 32 minute ordeal, I'm still lost that it took me 32 minutes to simply drop off keys, there needs to be major changes at that locationLarry M.

The kanye's Georgia U-haul facilities What's so rude And the manager was no better Then her employees are called 4 time 2 report her In her staff they just sit around When you ask some questions about the elevator when it would be back in service So you can get your stuff out of storage space I was on the 2nd floor and I ask when can you fix the elevator because I needed to be back in South Carolina They told me on Tuesday remind you it was Friday They need to get better customer service and also a manager she needs to go. I'm sorry but I really don't like this location. I a pretty regular customer of uhaul, and I only go to this location because of the business hours and actual location of the facility. I think overall issue with this location is the staff. I feel like they just don't care. After I got the paperwork for the trailer I rented, I waited 30mins for someone to come hook me up. I ended up hooking it up myself. Meanwhile the person that eventually came to take a picture of my hook up was on the phone the whole time I waited. Their was a women there clean her own car while all of this was going on. Then on the return/dropoff I had to wait again while everyone sits around on phones. When someone finally came over it check me out, he ask could he drive my truck to back the trailer in?! No!!!! Lol so yeah this kinda stuff happens all the time at this location and I'm Fed up.MESHAUN H.

I've rented from this location several times the last few years and yet, when I went to pick up the trailer they asked for â€œmy nearest relative's phone number who would answer and then, despite my protests, called that person to confirm who I wasâ€¦even though I'd made this reservation 2 weeks prior, in person, and I had my license and. The trailer had a very badly bent wheel well on the driver side. Also several of the employees were not wearing Uhaul shirts or badges.Becca C.
Clerks should take the time to help find close drop-off locations when reserving equipment. I gave my specific destination to the Clerk, but they seemed to be in a hurry to close the deal by providing me an u-haul contact number to change my drop-off location later, for my case this was a Sunday drop-off. When I contacted u-haul, the office was closed and I was forwarded to customer service. After a 50 minute wait time to talk to a rep, they weren't authorized to change drop-off locations which was a common problem for many other renters that evening. When reserving the equip, the Clerk failed to tell me about business hours for this contact and service need. People move 24/7, why don't u-haul have staff on duty to change drop-off locations at any time especially if customer service was less than ideal when reserving the equipment. There were several drop-off locations within a 5 - 10 mile radius from my destination. Why the Clerk could not id one those locations is a mystery to me. Instead, I had to go 36 miles out of my way to drop-off the equip. Customer service needs to improve in this area. This review could have easily received 5 stars if I had received better assistance locating a close drop-off location during my reservation.William T.

I was told that there would not be an additional charge. I called and asked if I could be extended a few hours. I was told yes. Upon return of truck I was told that "they shouldn't have told you that" and was charges an extra 40 for several hours and 14 for insurance. My U-HAUL experience was much easier than I remembered. My online reservation service, my in person with LaShanna, to truck lock that was provided. I forgot the dolly in my garage last night, and just made the call to inform U-HAUL it is being dropped off this morning and even that was pleasant and hassle free. Refund my 36.00. I checked my rental in online the night before it was due because that is when I dropped it off and I was still charged a fee like I hadn't already checked it in. Why have the check in service with no fee if you are just going to charge someone? Then my original pickup day was Saturday 7/30. I get to ur location to pick up my rental and that location doesn't have any. I had to come back Sunday. The lady behind the counter MADISON told me I would see a 50.00 credit in my account for the rental not front there when promised. Well needless to say it wasn't there. Terrible location.Jeannie H.

Staff at this location were great. This is the third U-Haul I've rented in the last 3 months and they have been consistently awesome. The online checkin using the U-Haul mobile website didn't work that well, compared to the previous time. I uploaded my drivers license the day before, but the pick-up process had me do it again. It also was showing that the vehicle was ready, but I had to go to the counter to get the keys since there was not an emergency contact on the reservation, but I had already entered that info the day before too. Other than these inconsistencies with the online checkin/pickup workflow in the mobile website, U-Haul is doing a great job!Brian S.

Tow dolly ratchets were so rusty to be almost unusable. Technician didn't plug in the wiring harness. And today, I see that you've charged me three days for a 3-hour rental, because your tech forgot to check me in after he said, "yep - I see your contract - you're good to go", and I guess someone noticed the dolly today and checked it in. Also - my reservation was for 8:30 AM Sunday morning; I was there, but the location didn't open 'til 9 AM. In fact, I can't think of any positive experience.Forrest M.

The van smelled like horses. The windshield and mirrors were really cloudy. The latch for the back door was broken, so the inside light stayed on during my entire trip because it wouldn't go off without that being resolved. Checked several times and the door was completely closed and secured, but the message kept coming up. A message concerning the tires kept coming up and a symbol appeared. Before Receiving the van and a tenant told me that was just because the system wasn't reading the tires. Nevertheless it made me feel uncomfortable driving because that symbol in addition to the other symbol kept coming up and stayed on my entire trip. It was awful for a person who has never driven a Uhaul van before and I couldn't wait to bring it back.Alisha M.

I lost all my things in a massive flood at Uhaul a few days after I got storage, I was told I didn’t have insurance, ok I will take that, but I asked when did the flood happen, I was told Dec 30. 2021 they called me a week later on the january 5, after 7 days I could physically see any water damage, so I paid $124 for 7 months on a storage that I lost everything, U-Haul knew my things were 2ft under water, they even took things out and put it back damaged, the manager George was terrible his assistant was terrible customer service is horrible , so I paid for months thinking my things were still good lost 3Tv’s speakers 6 expensive mirrors that was destroyed, I can deal with not gaving insurance but to pay on a unit for 7 months total lost ti a flood is terrible a Double loss due to U-Haul staff no being honest about floodCARLON W. | Overall Experience

I'm quite disgusted with Uhaul, because recently they had a flood in their facility (Conyers, Ga.) that flood caused damage to my unit and I actually lost a beautiful dresser. The sad thing is that they told me there was nothing they could do to help me, because I did not have Uhaul insurance,I had to beg for 1 month free rent. The sad thing was I had 2 storage units 3110 and 30101 in my name and 1 in my husband's name and we had it for almost 2 years. Although I was unable to get the storage unit size needed, I must say that the frustration experienced from weeks and weeks of calling the 1150 Dogwood Dr. Se Conyers, GA location was definitely made right upon my arrival. There were a few things that went wrong with me trying to reserve a storage unit from not being available, wrong unit, and then to no unit being reserved. Kayla was a blessing by being able to work her magic and honor the info. provided due to a mishap after not having anything available! Staff member Madison was EXCELLENT to include her thoroughness and knowledge about the reservation and unit process, her effective communication, professionalism, and patience displayed for all the questions that I had. Upon me returning the next day after realizing I would not need a storage unit, I was helped by staff member Shauntae or Shondra (please forgive me if name or spelling is wrong), but she was just as pleasant and helpful! This is a perfect example of why Good Customer Service is so important! Was not the right unit i reserved. I was told my unit was ready but when i got there it wasn't available and i had to get one that was smaller than i wanted.I asked for a discount sincr mine wasn't available and i couldn't get one on that either so i was very disappointed. My daughter is severely allergic to mold and mildew we couldn't bring anything from the unit into our home. As I tried to speak to the lady at the front desk she repeatedly said " there's nothing we can do". Experience has been positive. Staff was polite and helpful. It is clean and well maintained The biggest negative was that due to the very narrow hallways and low ceiling ductwork, we had one piece of furniture that could not be maneuvered to our unit. That single piece now must be stored elsewhere. Suggest that in future customers should be alerted that their large furniture may not fit into some units, even though the unit is large enough for the furniture.
